AUDIO – The Script is Written

Greetings to you this day. I am Jeshua. And I have come, as always, to discuss with you A Course in Miracles. You have been struggling, as it were, for some time, about some words, which I have placed in A Course in Miracles. And those words are these; “The script is written.” (See ACIM Workbook Lesson 158)

And what I have told you with those words is that for everything that seems to happen here, it has already been done. The time when each of you shall come to understand the truth of who you are is set. It is in the script. It is just as if it has been placed at a certain frame on the film that you play out, that you call your life. And only when you arrive at that frame and that moment, that seeming moment in your time, will you truly understand.

And I have said to you that time only seems to go in one direction. Time only seems to go in one direction. And all of this can present such a dilemma for you, can it not?

Here, in your earthly life, what can you do? I have told you that always when you come to the point in time when you understand, when you come to your moment of awakening, you will realize in that same moment the truth that – There was nothing I needed to do.

But your question for today goes even beyond that. For indeed, is there anything that you can do at all? If you are impatient to know the peace of God, can you, in your time, speed up the process? Can you be diligent and make the moment come sooner in your time? Does the time of your study, the time of your contemplation, the time of your simply being silent, does any of that make any difference at all? Or will you simply one day awaken and say, “Aha, I see.”?

Now I have told you, have I not, so many times, that this world never happened. And I have told you that this world is but illusion. It is not real. And do you know one of the aspects of reality itself – reality is imbued with creative power. That which is real is of God. You are of God. Because you, the reality of what you are – you are real. But this world, ah – `tis not real.

And what does that include? That includes your bodies. They are not real. That includes the aspects you see of space and time – the skies and the heavens – the earth about you the flowers and the trees – none of it is real. `Tis but a figment of imagination, if you will.

And this is part of what I have told you, but is so difficult for you. The thoughts you think you think are not real. The thoughts of which you are aware are not real thoughts. And that means this, as I have told you – the thoughts you think you think, the thoughts of the brain, if you will, the thoughts of space and time, are not real. And as such, hear me well. They have no creative power.

So can you, of your thinking, of your planning, of your struggling, of your doing things here, change anything, do anything at all? And the answer must be no. The answer must be no.

This is the fundamental struggle that you – insofar as you believe yourself to be your ego – this is the fundamental struggle that you must deal with. And I have spoken to you and called it the authority problem.

As ego, as a conscious thinking being, here, who seems to have life and seems to have choice, and would seem to perhaps have power associated with your choices, is there anything that you can do? And the answer is – no.

Consider for a moment – what if that were not so? What if you, in your conscious thinking, could in fact change your mind and see your life or your world change? Then that would demand that your thinking, the thoughts of this world, had creative power. Suppose that you could, with your body, do acts, do things that could change your world. That would mean that bodies had within them creative power. And that would mean that the thoughts of consciousness, the body itself, would be of God. That which has creative power must be God Itself, just as you – in your reality, have creative power and are God.So how do you deal with this issue, if I tell you, as I truly am telling you, that nothing you do in your life makes any difference at all? And one of your great passions, one of your great concerns in being loving and pursuing the spiritual path – for most of you – for so many of you – is that you say, “I want to make a difference. I want, when my life is over, to be able to stand tall and say, `I made a difference. I changed my world.'” And do you know what this is? Truly that is but the voice of the ego crying out not to die.

Ask yourself this – if this world is not real, if it is but illusion – if it has no effect of any kind in all of eternity – then why would it matter whether your life here makes a difference? That too is but illusion. So if you would be a student of A Course in Miracles, if you would be a teacher of A Course in Miracles, if you would be a writer of books, the sharer of wisdom through lectures or speaking engagements, or workshops – does any of that matter? And the answer truly is – it does not.

Such harsh words are they not? For have I not just told you that all of your struggling, everything you would do to seek to accomplish good in your life, matters not at all. DO you recall that I said in A Course in Miracles, “Your only goal is to accept the Atonement for yourself.”?

And do you recall the words I spoke in A Course in Miracles, that experience cannot be given directly? The only thing you have to offer is the vision of Christ – the vision of the Holy Spirit.

And vision itself – hear me well – has no power to change. Vision is but experience that you have within yourself when you – in a moment – see this world differently, when you forgive this world. And that, as I have told you, is your only function – to forgive this world – to forgive yourself – to forgive your brother – to forgive me and to forgive God Itself.

Have you heard these words at the core of your being? You forgive through vision. You forgive not through action, not though doing, not through trying, above all not through studying and struggling and dialoguing, if you will.

So what does that mean? What it means is – you must hear these words I speak this day, and these words which you will find in A Course in Miracles as you look for them – it means that you must take those words and experience them. For if you do not, or until you do, you will not know the peace of God. Hear me well.

So if your life matters not – ah, did I say that? Did I say your life matters not? Or did I say that there is nothing you can do to change anything? There is a difference. There truly is nothing you can do to bring about sooner the moment of your awakening. And if you feel you are awakened already – and wish to give the gift to your brothers and sisters, there is nothing you can do whatsoever to hasten the moment of their awakening as well. The script is written. The time is set.

Time but seems to flow in one direction. What does that mean? You believe in cause and effect being separate. That ultimately is the belief in your time. For you believe that an action, a thought, a word, a deed, now, will result in a change. The word “will” speaks of the future, do you hear? You believe that a word, an action, a thought, now, can effect what you see as the future. And it is absolutely not so.

I have told you that every single moment of your time is totally independent of every other moment of your time. That is what it means to say that cause and effect are not separate. In the absence of time, the Son of God imagines whatever he will, and in that instant, it is done. There cannot be delay. Delay is but illusion.

And so all of your struggling to become is but your desire to worship time, and to hallow what you would call the future, the result. And it is the grandest delusion of the ego to believe that what you call the future is the result of the past. And if it is then, you can further delude yourself into believing that what you did in one moment affected the next And thus you believe that you have creative power.

The nature of God, the fact that time itself does not exist, makes it impossible that such could be the case. In this moment, you either know the peace of God or you do not. And the next moment is the same. The next is the same. The next is the same. The next is the same. And creative spirit, which sits at the core of your being always knows the peace of God.

Did you, Mind, cease creating for a moment to make up a world of illusion? Hear me well. To create is to be. And to cease to create would be to cease to be. Mind never sleeps. It is creating every moment. That I have told you. And what is it that Mind creates – nothing but love. For that is all there is.

This world, I tell you – and this fact lies at the core of your forgiveness – this world, every aspect of it, is love being expressed. And in your forgiveness – when you awaken – in your moment of awakening, you will know that to be true. And that shall be the forgiveness that you seek. And in your forgiveness, you shall find the peace of God.

Can you, from within the framework of the ego, from within consciousness, can you rationalize, can you discuss and discover, can you debate and find, can you figure out how it is that this world is nothing but love? Hear me well. Absolutely not. It is the framework of this world which imprisons you. It is that framework which you use to form that which you call ego, that which you believe yourself to be, but which you are not. From within the domain of the ego, you cannot discover, you cannot find vision, the vision of the Holy Spirit, the vision of your One Self, the vision of Christ, the vision of God. They are all the same.

How then can you find the peace of God? Do you remember that I have told you – you have but one choice in this world – to which voice shall I listen? One choice – to which voice shall you choose to listen? I have told you that there is nothing you can do to hasten the moment of yours or your brother’s awakening. Your goal is to forgive. Your only goal is to accept the Atonement for yourself, which is exactly the same thing.

There truly is nothing you can do. For if it were not so, this world would be imbued with creative power, and would be real. And that which you pretend to see would be God Itself. And the universe would be a place of fear and horror. And it is not so. Hear me well.

How do you choose to listen to the Voice for God? How do you choose to hear the Holy Spirit? For when you do make that choice, then what will fill your awareness is the vision of Christ. For truly then, your One Self, the Holy Spirit, I, God Itself, were He to choose to look upon this world, would see with vision, and would see nothing but love.

How do you choose to do that? There is but one way. For the choice you have of which voice you shall listen is not really a choice at all. So even in the sense of choosing which voice you shall hear, there is still nothing you can do. Hear me well. For this I have told you before.

The Holy Spirit, the Voice of God, the bringer of the vision of Christ, speaks with the quietest of whispers you could ever imagine. The truth is this, my brothers – you hear the Voice of God in your silence. The only choice you have is the choice to be still, to cease the workings of your conscious mind. For when you do not think, you are free of the busyness of the world. You are no longer burning with a passion to dialogue or debate, or study or think or to use your thoughts to become. When you are free of that, then in your silence there comes a whisper, the Voice of the Holy Spirit.

And as you sit in your silence for more than a moment, then there will come exactly this, a vision. And arising out of your silence, you will be given a new world. But nothing will have changed at all. You will be given a new world because, as you look upon your world and experience this world here – beyond the domain of the ego – you will come face to face with the vision of Christ. And everything you see will be the Love of God. And everything you experience will be the Love of God.

And what will you do in your life? You will celebrate. For the fullness of the awareness of that Love will make it impossible for you not to do so. Hear me well this day. That is the measure of your forgiveness. As you look upon your world, do you see nothing but love? As you look upon your world do you see nothing but love in action? As you look upon your world, are you filled with joy and wonder at it all? And as you look upon your world are you filled with a total peace that desires to change nothing? For why would anyone desire to change the perfect Love of God? Do you see?

Then what do you do in your life, if all your doing matters not? And this I have told you as well. How do you know if you are happy? Do you contemplate and debate, or do you simply know at the core of your being? How do you know if you are filled with love? Do you debate the meaning of love? Do you define love and write books about love or do you simply experience that which it is? And experience, as I have told you, is beyond thought – is beyond your thinking mind – is beyond the domain of the ego.

So what can you do then? You simply experience your life. If you would do that, you do not plan one moment in the future, but simply experience your life. And do you remember those words? I spoke them even two thousand years ago, and yet again and again in so many times and places. And yet again in A Course in Miracles. If you would simply experience your life, what will you do? And the answer is so extremely simple that you perhaps have never heard it. If you would simply experience your life, you will follow the path of your own joy.

Do you think I was joking when I said, “God’s will for you is perfect happiness”? and when I gave you the affirmation of “God’s peace and joy are mine”? Not at all. What if your joy does not lead you to study A Course in Miracles? What should you do? Follow the path of your own joy. What if your joy does not lead you to writing books and going to workshops or seminars or dialoguing with your brethren about the nature of truth? What should you do? You should follow the pathway of your own joy. I promise you, if you are not following the pathway of your joy, you are nowhere near, at all, the discovery of the peace of God.

Can you speed up your time? No, indeed. Can you be joyful in your life? Yes, you can. What happens if you truly become silent and open your being, and open your heart – if you will – to the presence of the Holy Spirit – to my presence – to the Voice of God? What happens if you do that? Time itself collapses. I have told you that as well. “Miracles collapse time”. Those are not new words to you, are they? The only place that time can collapse is in your silence. The only activity that can possibly bring you to the point of time collapsing are those that bring you joy.

And what is the measure of your joy? I have told you this also many times. If you believe you are experiencing joy, then ask yourself – “Can anything of this world threaten my joy?” And if the answer is “yes”, then it is not the joy of God. It is still the ego clamoring and crying out to be heard, and trying to convince someone, somewhere, that it exists – which of course it does not.

In the moment of your silence, in the moment of your joy, in the moment of the collapse of time – then all of time becomes the same instant. Do you hear? And in that instant – in that instant of the forever of your time – as it collapses into a single moment, the time of your awakening is there. And I have, have I not, called that moment the Holy Instant – the moment of the miracle. And that is exactly what it is – the moment of the miracle – the moment in which time collapses.

But remember, you cannot make it happen. You cannot figure it out. You cannot dialogue and discover what it is. You can never, ever, ever, give it as an experience to someone else. The only thing you can do is enter into your own silence, wherein you listen and are still, and wherein you hear the Voice of God, and wherein you gain the vision of Christ, and wherein you see a new world – not a world that has been changed, but the same world seen anew.

And in that moment you will no longer see a world of illusion. Illusion will pass away, including the illusion of time. And in the moment of forever, you shall awaken. And in your awakening, you will have within you the vision of Christ.

Can you force it upon your brothers? No, indeed. But as you hold that vision, then it is present for anyone and everyone – throughout all of space and time, past, present and future – to experience and to celebrate. And in your own moment of experiencing that vision, truly as I have told you, your silence and the joy to be found therein, make you, without effort, the savior of the world. And your life, moment upon moment, shall become blessed in ways beyond what you can comprehend – even though the moments of your space and time have changed not one iota.

My blessings upon you all. That is all.

This holy instant would I give to You. Be You in charge. For I would follow You, certain that Your direction gives me peace.

I know You Love these words. Now is incentive Yours to live them. Be You in charge. Step back and let God lead You in the way: the way to follow. For I would follow You, certain that Your direction gives me peace. You are the Way, the Truth, the Life, leading Us to the experience of Heaven.

¹ And if I need a word to help me, He will give it to me. If I need a thought, that will He also give. For Our minds are joined, and this is Heaven. And if I need but stillness and a tranquil, open mind, these are the gifts I will receive of Him. Gifts unlimited, flowing forth from God. He is in charge by my request. I have given up control, and that feels so very awesome! All I need do is ask, and then listen. And He will hear and answer me because He speaks for God, my Father, and His holy Son. Our Final Lessons

¹Our final lessons will be left as free of words as possible. So We move into feeling, gracefully. Now We look to allow Ourselves to have Divine Intuition. I say “We” because I’m always with You. We use them but at the beginning of our practicing and only to remind us that we seek to go beyond them, to communication of the Knowing. Let us turn to Him Who leads the way and makes our footsteps sure. To Him we leave these lessons, as to Him we give our lives henceforth, No more do We choose to think as egos. For we would not return again to the belief in sin, which made the world seem ugly and unsafe, attacking and destroying, dangerous in all its ways, and treacherous beyond the hope of trust and the escape from pain. To see ‘sin’ is to think as an ego.

² His is the only way to find the peace that God has given us. No way will We think; instead We’ll listen. It is His way that everyone must travel in the end, because it is this ending God Himself appointed. In the dream of time, it seems to be far off. And yet in truth, it is already here, already serving us as gracious guidance in the way to go. We know it could be now, if We would choose, for nothing stops Us. Let us together follow in this way that truth points out to us. And let us be the leaders of our many brothers who are seeking for the way but find it not. Yet it is right here for those Who would see.

³ And to this purpose let us dedicate our minds, directing all our thoughts to serve the function of salvation. We have slept so long; it’s time to Waken. Unto us the aim is given to forgive the world. It is forgiveness that opens wide Our eyes to see again. It is the goal that God has given us. Not just goal but Gift. It is His ending to the dream we seek, and not our own. We know not how to stop the dream all on Our own. God must help.For all that we forgive we will not fail to recognize as part of God Himself. What must You ultimately forgive but Yourself for dreaming. With that forgiveness You waken to God. And thus His memory is given back completely and complete. How wonderful to be Awake again!

⁴ It is our function to remember Him on earth, that We might waken, as it is given us to be His own completion in reality. So let us not forget our goal is shared. We are One with God.For it is that remembrance which contains the memory of God and points the way to Him and to the Heaven of His peace. So long forgotten in the hell of dreaming, yet still within Our minds is Our relationship with God. We can remember! And shall we not forgive our brother who can offer this to us? That and the little willingness is all it takes to start the Journey Home. Will You now take those first steps? Nothing can stop You. He is the way, the truth, and life that show the way to us. Without forgiveness We cannot hear Him, nor see how to go. With forgiveness all things are clearly seen. In him resides salvation, offered us through our forgiveness given unto him. Let Us now give it. True generosity of mind – not things – is but forgiveness.

⁵ We will not end this year without the gift our Father promised to His holy Son. How many years have come to end for You, without acceptance of these words: giving the forgiveness asked? We are forgiven now. And in the giving, We are gifted too: gifted with freedom. And we are saved from all the wrath we thought belonged to God and found it was a dream. (Albeit nightmare.) We are restored to sanity in which we understand that anger is insane, attack is mad, and vengeance merely foolish fantasy. Yet so loved by and, thus, very important to the ego. We have been saved from wrath because we learned we were mistaken. No point in being angry at mistakes. They need correction. Nothing more than that. And is a Father angry at His Son because he failed to understand the truth? Of course not, for He will gladly teach Him again and again, patiently, until He now understands. This is how Love is; take heed and be It.

⁶ We come in honesty to Him and say we did not understand – Our minds were elsewhere; yet now they are back – and ask Him to help us to learn His lessons through the Voice of His own Teacher. Would He hurt His Son? Or would He rush to answer him and say, “This is My Son, and all I have is his”?₁ Truly You are His Son to Whom He gladly gives the Kingdom. Yes! You just understood: the Kingdom is the Consciousness of God and not a thing. Be certain He will answer thus, for these are His own Words to you. And more than that can no one ever have, for in these Words is all there is and all that there will be throughout all time and in eternity. Welcome Home My dearly belovèd One. Here is Your Kingdom.

Peace be to me, the holy Son of god.

Can I believe this statement to be true? I can, when I give it to My Brother! Let Me do that now!

Peace to my brother, who is one with me.

It is but Oneness which I had forgotten in nightmares of the separation.

Let all the world be blessed with peace through us, through Our wakening.

¹ Father, it is Your peace that I would give, receiving it of You. I’m willing now to give up conflict, all based in being ‘right’. I am Your Son, forever just as You created me, for the Great Rays remain forever still and undisturbed within me. God’s Qualities are forever Mine for They could not be lost, and They were ignored. Love I am, and Love I do remain throughout Eternity. This is true of every Ray: They’re My Substance, for I am not a body, but embodiment of Good! I would reach to them in silence and in certainty, – right within Myself – for nowhere else can certainty be found. Peace be to me and peace to all the world. In holiness were we created, and in holiness do we remain. For Our Holiness is but synonym to Our happiness. That is amazing! Your Son is like to You in perfect sinlessness, – how beautiful is My Holy Brother; as lovely as I – and with this thought we gladly say “Amen.”

God’s answer is some form of peace. Peace is the Source of all real power. Peace: a serenity which comes from understanding God is All.

All pain is healed; all misery replaced with joy. This is true freedom: for mourning has been changed to joyful dance.

All prison doors are opened. They were self-imposed by-products of dreams.

And all sin is understood as merely a mistake. God Be-ing All and Be-ing Good, all sin must be delusion. Good alone is Real.

¹ Father, today we will forgive Your world – Our strange misperception of it, skewed by ego vision – and let creation be Your own. We have misunderstood all things, completely distorted Reality. But we have not made sinners of the holy Sons of God. Our dreams and delusions can’t change the Real. What You created sinless so abides forever and forever, despite what We see. Such are we: completely untouched by Our dreams which do hide Reality, yet cannot change It. And we rejoice to learn that we have made mistakes which have no real effects on us. We can change Our minds! God’s Son is Holy, and this Holiness includes Our Brother. Sin is impossible, and on this fact forgiveness rests upon a certain base more solid than the shadow world we see. We can – at any moment – trade it for God’s Reality. Help us forgive, for we would be redeemed. Help us forgive, for we would be at peace. Our Brother’s Holiness is one with Ours.

No call to God can be unheard nor left unanswered.

Even calls that sound like –really are meant to be – expletives! Pure profanity. Love can feel Your need, and respond to it. And of this I can be sure—His answer is the one I really want. For God is the real solution, no matter what the problem is or claims to be.

¹ You Who remember – dear Holy Spirit – what I really am alone remember what I really want, to re-find Heaven. You speak for God, and so You speak for me. That is Your Function given You by God to help all Dreamers. And what You give me comes from God Himself. For never would He – could He – forsake Me. Your Voice, my Father, then is mine as well, and all I want is what You offer me, in just the form You chose that it be mine. Only Your answer can make Me happy; return to Me but My Reality. Let me remember all I do not know, and let my voice be still, remembering. The memory of being loved by You returning to Me; I hold fast to It, despite the vicious attacks of ego. But let me not forget Your Love and care, keeping Your promise to Your Son in my awareness always. Let me not forget myself – ego ‘creation’ – is nothing, but my Self – Good God Be-ing Me – is all. True Eternity, not gained by dying but by Living Love.

Truth – Love’s Reality – answers every call we make to God, – even silent screams are clearly heard and cared about by Him; He would not have You suffer, no not even for an instant – responding first with miracles, and then returning unto us to be itself.

¹ Forgiveness, truth’s reflection, tells me how to offer miracles and thus escape the prison house in which I think I live. What is this forgiveness, and why do I harp so endlessly upon it? It is Your path to freedom. I hear You Brother! Your holy Son is pointed out to me, first in my brother, then in me. To appreciate Myself, I must first appreciate My Brother. ‘That is harsh!’ opines the ego! Your Voice instructs me patiently to hear Your Word – first must I listen – and give as I receive; then must I do it. And as I look upon Your Son today, with less than Your Love, I hear Your Voice instructing me to find the way to You as You appointed that the way shall be: “Behold his sinlessness, and be you healed.” Although I may resist at first, yet I would have the healing.

Sickness is but another name for sin.

It comes not from God, but emanates from some type of lovelessness, a lack of care for other Brothers. Neighbors which You have not loved as Yourself.

Healing is but another Name for God. For healing is born from whole and Holy.
The miracle is thus a call to Him. For He is Source of all things Good and Real. Grateful for them is gratitude for God.

¹ Father, You promised You would never fail to answer any call Your Son might make to You. Hear His blessèd words: Philippians 4:19 – “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Could We ask for more? His promise is truly all-inclusive! How loved is the Son! It does not matter where he is, what seems to be his problem, nor what he believes he has become. He is Your Son, and You will answer him. No matter what the problem, Good always overrides the dream. The miracle reflects Your Love, and thus it answers him. It makes plain Your holy ever-Presence. Your Name replaces every thought of sin, and who is sinless cannot suffer pain. God Be-ing perfect synonym to Good. Your Name gives answer to Your Son because to call Your Name is but to call his own. Infinite and All-Inclusive is God’s Holy Family.

There is no end to all the peace and joy and all the miracles that I will give when I accept God’s word. Why not today?

In other words, dear Father-Mother, why do I continue to delay, to put it off again for still another day?

Procrastination is a very foolish game to play, especially when it is done every day.

¹ Why should I wait, my Father, for the joy You promised me? Can doing “my own thing” today really be that appealing? Is the ego truly that convincing? “No!” must be the answer; thus I must be totally insane! For You will keep Your Word You gave Your Son in exile. You Love Me so much! Why do I ignore You and keep listening to the ego? I am sure my treasure waits for me, and I need but reach out my hand to find it. Even now my fingers touch it. It is very close. I know how sweet Life is when joined with You, belovèd Father! I need not wait an instant more to be at peace forever. I have had more than enough of discord! It is You I choose and my identity – My Reality! – along with You. Your Son would be Himself and know You as his Father and Creator and his Love. And I would choose You! Why don’t I do it?

Help Me give up being ‘son’ to ego!

We stand together, Christ and i, in peace and certainty of purpose.

He is My Teacher, forever Guiding Me to be just as holy as is He.

And in Him is His Creator, as He is in me.

His loving message is that I, too, am God’s belovèd One, as are all Others.

Each Brother and each Sister is forever precious to Our Father-Mother God. No-one is left out; no-one forgotten. This message is for every One of You!

¹ My oneness with the Christ establishes me as Your Son, beyond the reach of time and wholly free of every law but Yours. This statement is not arrogance, but grateful adoration. I have no self except the Christ in me. Not bound by human personality; a.k.a. ego. I have no purpose but His own, as Christ does Guide Me. And He is like His Father. The same Loving Presence, then, must be Me, for Christ would have to be All-inclusive.Thus must I be one with You – belovèd Mother – as well as Him – belovèd Father. For who is Christ except Your Son as You created Him? And what am I except the Christ in me? For most assuredly You never, ever, made an ego. Thus must We always be the Son of God, despite Our foolish dreams from which We always can Awaken.

My eyes, my tongue, my hands, my feet today have but one purpose—to be given Christ to use to bless the world with miracles.

And not just all My body, but My entire mind, as well; each thought must be Love.

¹ Father, I give all that is mine today to Christ to use in any way that best will serve the purpose that I share with Him. To do this I must pay close attention. I am quite willing to do as I’m told; My God, the ‘tell-er’. Nothing is mine alone, for He and I have joined in purpose. How sweet to have a Friend so close at hand. One Who’s always right! Thus has learning come almost to its appointed end. A while I work with Him to serve His purpose. So glad to help. Then I lose myself in my identity and recognize that Christ is but my Self. Christ Infinitely every One of Us.

Judgment and love are opposites. You will have to choose one or the other. From one come all the sorrows of the world. For how can You know the Truth about Yourself if You deny it for Your Brother? But from the other comes the peace of God Himself. When You see Your Brother with the eyes of Love, You, too, look as beautiful as S/He.

¹ Forgiveness looks on sinlessness alone and judges not. This is My lesson. To do this I must understand that only Good is Real. The evil that I seem to see is but illusion incepted by My loveless thought. It’s easier to judge an Other than live Love Myself. Easier but not really satisfying. Through this I come to You. Jesus, Holy Spirit, I need constant help to stay on track! Judgment – to heed ego lies about My Others – will bind my eyes and make me blind. I will walk through life in total darkness. Yet love, reflected in forgiveness here, – and in every single situation – reminds me You have given me a way to find Your peace again. In Reality We All Love each Other very dearly. I am redeemed when I elect to follow in this way. There is no other! You have not left me comfortless. You have always been right at My side, closer to Me than My heart, You are my Mind. I have within me both the memory of You and One Who leads me to it. Father, I would hear Your Voice and find Your peace today. You never left; I just stopped listening. I begin again. For I would love my own Identity – oh so very lovely Holy Spirit – and find in Him – Who is really Me – the memory – and ever-presence of You.

This is quite simple for You to understand. Accepting it is quite a different story.

My sinful brother is my guide to pain.

Does this seem unfair to You? That You must need forgive Him? It is unfairer still to see Him sinful.

And which I choose to see I will behold. Choice is always Mine.

¹ Who is my brother but Your holy Son? You Love Him just as much as You Love Me. And if I see him sinful, I proclaim myself a sinner, – if He is a sinner, so am I for He and I are One – not a Son of God, alone and friendless in a fearful world. Yet this perception is a choice I make and can relinquish. Although it seems impossible to do. I can also see my brother sinless as Your holy Son. And with this choice I see my sinlessness, my everlasting Comforter and Friend beside me, and my way secure and clear. If He is holy, I am holy too. Choose, then, for me, my Father, through Your Voice, the Holy Spirit, exemplified in Your belovèd Son. For He alone gives judgment in Your Name. And what is His judgment but “very good.”_{1

What am I?

^{For so long now I have considered Myself to be nothing but a ‘mortal’, something born but to die, part of some peculiar plan of God’s which makes no sense to Me. Yet have I gone along with it, participating endlessly in ‘birth’ and ‘death’ as if I were willing slave to ego. Now I understand that I have a choice!}

^{I can stop the merry-go-round (which isn’t very merry!) and I can get off now. What took Me so long to understand this but being oh so willingly hypnotized by ego!}

¹ I am God’s Son in Reality, complete and healed and whole, shining in the reflection of His Love. I am Love’s Presence! That’s Reality! In me is His creation sanctified and guaranteed eternal life. In me is love perfected, fear impossible, and joy established without opposite. I hear these words, quite theoretically, and get excited; yet I don’t really understand; how this can be, possibly; for My mind is still run by the ego. I am the holy home of God Himself. I am the Heaven where His Love resides. What a wonderful idea, dearest Brother! I’ve always thought Heaven was a place for Me to go, not a place to BE! I am His holy sinlessness itself, for in my purity abides His own. This new idea is so amazing! No wonder I must watch every thought and action, for they must be in line with Love. For Love is the Substance of all Heaven: its superstructure.

² Our use for words is almost over now. The alternative is in the Knowing of Communion; no ceremony this but Our sharing of One Holy Mind. An experience of Oneness now unknown, deliberately long-forgotten in eons of dream. Yet in the final days of this one year we gave to God together, you and I, we found a single purpose that we shared, as You were willing. And thus you joined with me. So what I am are you as well. For when We’re joining, You step into One Mind with Me, ending the separation. The truth of what we are is not for words to speak of nor describe. It is just to be, which comes naturally; disallow the ego’s interference. Its survival rests on obfuscation! (a word quite synonym to ego when it is in action) Yet we can realize our function here, and words can speak of this and teach it, too, if we exemplify the words in us. In other words, live the Love Your preaching. Studying the Course does not make You holy. You must love It enough to live It.

³ We are the bringers of salvation. This is no small thing, but an important mission for the world, the world of Dreamers. We accept our part as saviors of the world, which through our joint forgiveness is redeemed. If the word forgiveness makes You cringe, for sin seems overwhelming, remember this: what You call ‘the world’ is nothing but a dream, albeit extremely convincing. God is greater than the dream, despite how very real it seems. And this, our gift, is therefore given us. We look on everyone as brothers and perceive all things as kindly and as good. Don’t be exasperated at what seems impossible to You! With God all these things are not just possible but certain! We do not seek a function that is past the gates of Heaven. Let Us arrive there first! And then You may be sure all things will be added for You. You need not be the star of the show to have a crucial part. Knowledge will return when we have done our part. We are concerned only with giving welcome to the truth. Open up Your minds; the Truth will gladly enter and bear fruit; Your mind be filled with happiness and good.

⁴ Ours are the eyes through which Christ’s vision sees a world redeemed from every thought of sin. Be willing Sister. Ours are the ears that hear the Voice of God proclaim the world as sinless. Be willing, Brother. Ours the minds which join together as we bless the world. How sweet is this experience of giving to Our Brothers. Our Gifts are not ambivalent, but wholly Good for They do come direct from God; no interference. And from the oneness that we have attained – as a part of God – we call to all our brothers, offering Our Love, asking them to share our peace and consummate our joy. Even those We thought were total strangers, and those of different colour, suddenly are as dear to Us as Our nursing babe. How did this happen? How was I transformed?

By Your Love, Sister; by Your Love, Brother! Love is the conduit for all miracles, both large and small. Let Yourselves be filled with Joy, Love spilling forth, overflowing, washing clean the world of painful judgments, illuminating Good where ere it goes!

⁵ We are the holy messengers of God – Yes! Really! Truly! – who speak for Him, and carrying His Word to everyone whom He has sent to us, we learn that it is written on our hearts. How did this happen? Only through willingness is this conceived. Willingness to both see and be different than ego. This is not a chore, but a privilege! And thus our minds are changed about the aim for which we came and which we seek to serve. We bring glad tidings to the Son of God, who thought he suffered. His days seemed filled with large and small crucifixions. Now is he redeemed. And as he sees the gate of Heaven stand open before him, he will enter in and disappear into the Heart of God. The Real You won’t be gone; only the ego. And with the ego goes the dream. Yet You’ve already moved to Your new state of Consciousness: the Holy Love of God.

Miracles mirror God’s eternal Love – turning bad to good, misery to peace, deep despair to hope; bringing Light to those who sit in darkness. To offer them is to remember Him, and through His memory to save the world.

How do You give miracles? By being willing to forgive. For One who has spent eons being thought by unforgiving ego, the willingness to Love instead of hate is indeed miraculous. Now do You see the majesty of forgiveness?

¹ What we forgive becomes a part of us as we perceive ourselves. The Son of God incorporates all things within himself as You created him. Your memory depends on his forgiveness. What he is, is unaffected by his thoughts. But what he looks upon is their direct result. Your ego thought incepts Your perception, obfuscating Your experience of God’s Reality. Therefore, my Father, I would turn to You that I might step out of dreams into God’s great Eternity. Only Your memory will set me free, freeing Me from dreams, releasing Me into Eternity. If I don’t forgive, this will not happen, for unforgiveness won’t let Love appear. And only my forgiveness –opening My heart, letting Love flow free – teaches me to let Your memory return to me – You are Love Itself – and give it to the world in thankfulness. For It must be shared so it stays alive.

² And as we gather miracles from Him, – Our belovèd One – we will indeed be grateful. For as we remember Him, Who is the holy Source – only Source – of His belovèd Son – His Son will be restored to us in the Reality of Love, where We have always been; just obfuscated by the dream.

Today I let Christ’s vision look upon All things for me and judge them not, but give each one a miracle of love instead.

As I let Christ be My eyes for Me, with His eyes of Love, He sees what I can’t see. Suddenly I feel God’s Love surround Me.

¹ So would I liberate all things I see and give to them the freedom that I seek. My vision does not see Love like Christ’s does. So must I ask Him to see as He does. For thus do I obey the law of love and give what I would find and make my own. Would I find kindness? Then let Me give it. It will be given me because I have chosen it as the gift I want to give. Father, Your gifts are mine, and very holy. If I would be loved, then let Me first Love. Each one that I accept gives me a miracle to give. And giving as I would receive, I learn Your healing miracles belong to me. For Love is synonymous with healing.

² Our Father knows our needs. Always it is mind that needs first healing. He gives us grace to meet them all. And so we trust in Him to send us miracles to bless the world and heal our minds as we return to Him. In other words, God meets Our every need with greatest blessings.

What is a Miracle?

It is an unexpected healing of a chronic problem. And what is a “chronic problem”? One that has gone on for longer than an instant.

¹ A miracle is a correction of a misperception. It does not create nor really change at all. It merely looks on devastation, and reminds the mind that what it sees is false. It allows Reality’s appearing. It undoes error, by Be-ing the Truth, but does not attempt to go beyond perception nor exceed the function of forgiveness. Thus it stays within time’s limits. In other words, it operates within the dream to heal it. Yet it paves the way for the return of timelessness and love’s awakening, for fear must slip away under the gentle remedy it gives. All the while it’s building back the bridge between Reality and unreality, which leads Dreamers to awaken and return their consciousness to the experience of Heaven.

² A miracle contains the gift of grace, for it is given and received as one. For God’s miracles are freely given. Will You receive them? And thus it illustrates the law of truth the world does not obey because it fails entirely to understand its ways. And what is that law? Only Good is Real. Pay attention carefully to what I’m saying here about Your perception mode. A miracle inverts perception which was upside-down before, and thus it ends the strange distortions that were manifest. Now is perception open to the truth. Now is forgiveness seen as justified. Are You getting what I’m saying here? It’s as if You’ve gone through ‘life’ recently standing on Your head and wond’ring why You cannot seem to run a marathon again! Why don’t You stop thinking that You’re a body and, instead, remember that You’re Mind? Feel free to answer Me; the question is not rhetorical, but a wake-up call.

³ Forgiveness is the home of miracles. It understands the dream to be unreal, and therefore, there is nothing to forgive. The eyes of Christ deliver them to all they look upon in mercy and in love. And knowing this, We cannot but begin to Love Our Brothers. Perception stands corrected in His sight, becoming Vision, and what was meant to curse has come to bless. Truly does the Holy Spirit transform the worst of things into blessings for Us. Gratitude to God! Each lily of forgiveness offers all the world the silent miracle of love. Please let that sink deep into consciousness with great gratefulness. How great is Our God! And each is laid before the Word of God upon the universal altar to Creator and creation, in the light of perfect purity and endless joy.

There really is this thing called perfection.

⁴ The miracle is taken first on faith – there is at least a grain of faith (it matters not how miniscule it is) or miracles would be invisible to You – because to ask for it implies the mind has been made ready to conceive of what it cannot see and does not understand. Yes, You could say “a little willingness”. Yet faith will bring its witnesses to show that what it rested on is really there. Now watch how Your willingness increases! And thus the miracle will justify your faith in it and show it rested on a world more real than what you saw before—a world redeemed from what you thought you saw. For miracles rest on Reality.

⁵ Miracles fall like drops of healing rain from Heaven on a dry and dusty world, where starved and thirsty creatures came to die. Yes, let Us add the Bibe verse that speaks so wonderfully to this idea: “I have longed for Thee as a dry and thirsty land where no water is.”Now they have water. Now the world is green. And everywhere the signs of life spring up to show that what is born will always be can never die, for what has life has immortality. This Course was given to bring an end to dying, which ends the dream; and vice versa.

Will You dream and die or choose instead to live by waking up? A simple question.

What Is the Ego?

^{The worship of One’s self – with a little ‘s’ – instead of God.}

¹ The ego is idolatry—the sign of limited and separated self, born in a body, doomed to suffer and to end its life in death. This is the way You set it up to be. A decision which has been most unrewarding. A choice at which You should have laughed. Instead You took it seriously, as if it were valid. It is the will that sees the Will of God as enemy and takes a form in which It is denied. It sees Itself as god, yet knows it’s not; still, it would pretend The ego is the “proof” that strength is weak and love is fearful, life is really death, and what opposes God alone is true. And all this so-called ‘proof’ refers but to itself, quite non-existent, projected out upon God’s Son.

² The ego is insane. In fear it stands beyond the Everywhere, apart from All, in separation from the Infinite. Fear and loneliness is all You can get from ego. In its insanity it thinks it has become a victor over God Himself, and in its terrible autonomy, it “sees” the Will of God has been destroyed. It thinks that it is real, and points to the dreaming world as validation for it. Separation is its ‘proof’ that it has been successful, for it takes the dream to be ‘reality’. Now You understand why it has seemed so hard to Awaken. Your belief in dreams is crucial. It dreams of punishment and trembles at the figures in its dreams, its enemies who seek to murder it before it can ensure its safety by attacking them. Dreams must be real, else the whole phantasmagoria will crumble. You must be quite sure that the dream is real. It has to be perfectly convincing.

³ The Son of God is egoless. What made Him choose dreams and keep on choosing? What but addiction. What can he know of madness and the death of God when he abides in Him? He must stay drunk on dreams, or else He’ll Awaken. Therefore, they must be convincing and compelling and frightening as well. What can he know of sorrow and of suffering when he lives in eternal joy? More ‘real’ to Him than happiness. This takes determination! What can he know of fear and punishment, of sin and guilt, of hatred and attack when all there is surrounding him is everlasting peace, forever conflict-free and undisturbed in deepest silence and tranquillity? This peace, accepted, would quickly put an end to all dreamings.

⁴ To know Reality is not to see the ego and its thoughts, its works, its acts, its laws and its beliefs, its dreams, its hopes, its plans for its salvation, and the cost belief in it entails. You must let go of all investment in any kind of dreams, and ask, instead, to see the Son of God, right there where You are. And You will see Him In suffering, which is the firm foundation of the dream, the price for faith in it is so immense that crucifixion of the Son of God is offered daily at its darkened shrine and blood must flow before the altar where its sickly followers prepare for death. Without the belief that suffering is real, the Son would have to give up dying1 You can see how deep runs the investment. The dream rests on suffering and the ability to ‘die’.

⁵ Yet will one lily of forgiveness change the darkness into light, – the Love that stands behind forgiveness illuminates the gloominess of dreaming. the altar to illusions to the shrine of Life Itself. False gods gone, God is in His Place again, and We there with Him. And peace will be restored forever to the holy minds which God created as His Son, His dwelling-place, His joy, His love, completely His, completely one with Him. All We need do: Love God enough to let go of the ego. It’s always simple.

Creation’s freedom promises my own.

For I am an intrinsic part of God’s continual Creating; and Creation is always free, coming straight from God. A Source continually outpouring.

¹ The end of dreams is promised me because God’s Son is not abandoned by His Love. I can Awaken. It’s My choice alone that keeps Me dreaming. It also locks Me firmly into ‘time’, a.k.a. prison. Only in dreams is there a time when he appears to be in prison and awaits a future freedom if it be at all. Yet in reality his dreams are gone, with truth established in their place. And now is freedom his already. Yet stuck firmly I the dream, I seem to know it not at all! Should I wait in chains which have been severed for release, when God is offering me freedom now? I must not want it; this “not wanting” is why I’m stuck in dreams, why I’m enslaved in this troubled world when Heaven is My Home. Let Me embrace It!

² I will accept Your promises today and give my faith to them. They are such comfort. My Father loves the Son Whom He created as His own. I am part of God, and very holy. Would You withhold the gifts You gave to me? This would be impossible, for the gifts are the very ones I have been living.

If I am bound, my Father is not free.

For God is One with Me, and I with He. And this must be throughout Eternity.

So from within this painful human dream, Father, how do We get free? Belovèd Ones, let Us continue, and You will see.

We start with Your beliefs, led by ego. Heed what I’m saying very carefully:

¹ If I accept that (what I have been taught) I am prisoner within a body in a world in which all things that seem to live appear to die, (how preposterous when God is My Life, so how could it be?), then is my Father prisoner with me. (More insanity!) And this do I believe when I maintain the laws the world obeys must I obey—the frailties and the sins which I perceive are real and cannot be escaped. Were this true then only hell would be real. And I am telling You there is no hell – but for the dreaming. Thus Heaven is – can be – the only Real. If I am bound in any way, – kept in bondage by all My strange beliefs – I do not know my Father or my Self, for I dwell in dreams. And I am lost to all reality, as long as I sleep. For truth is free, and what is bound is not a part of truth. It’s very simple: You’re bound by refusing to awaken. You are dreaming hell; it does not exist!

² Father, I ask for nothing but the truth. Please help Me mean this and remember it! I have had many foolish thoughts about myself and my creation and have brought a dream of fear into my mind. I am so frightened, both by My dreams and by awakening. Today I would not dream. At least I am willing to be aroused! And I need Your help! I choose the way to You instead of madness and instead of fear. Just the thought of You brings relief to Me. For truth is safe and only love is sure. And Truth and Love and Life are found with You, My belovèd God. It takes but a change of mind – from My long allegiance to the ego – back to You.

Let me not bind Your Sn with laws I made.

Human beliefs devolved from the ego, laid upon God’s Son as such heavy chains, ‘laws’ unknown to God binding Him to death. How cruel the ego.

¹ Your Son is free, my Father. The Holy Spirit His way to freedom. Let me not imagine I have bound him with the laws I made to rule the body. They are specious ‘laws’ He need not obey. He is not subject to any laws I made by which I try to make the body more secure. Insisting with them that it must be real because they rule Him. He is not changed by what is changeable. He is not slave to any laws of time. For only in His dreams is He enslaved to these so-called ‘laws’. He is as You created him because he knows no laws except the Law of Love. Thus can He awaken to His freedom, which remains unchanged by dreaming eons that have not touched the Son’s Reality. In Truth S/He is free.

² Let us not worship idols, – seeming solid bodies, which also are quite unknown to God – nor believe in any laws idolatry would make – oh so vehemently insisting that We are not Spirit, these ‘laws’ are but lies – to hide the freedom of the Son of God. He is not bound except by his beliefs. Yet what he is is far beyond his faith in slavery or freedom. Right now can His beliefs be discarded! He is free because he is his Father’s Son. And he can not be bound unless God’s Truth can lie and God can will that He deceive Himself. You can free Yourself at any instant. Simply change Your mind.

The word of God is given me to speak.

It comes gently streaming through My mind on golden wings of Love. This is not hyperbole; It is that lovely.

¹ What is the Word of God? “My Son is pure and holy as Myself.” In other words, You are My Belovèd Son, My treasured One. And thus did God become the Father of the Son He loves, for thus was he created. With the word: “Let there be Light!” the belovèd One was revealed. This the Word His Son did not create with Him because in this His Son was born. Let us accept His Fatherhood, and all is given us. Deny we were created in His Love, and we deny our Self, to be unsure of who we are, of who our Father is, and for what purpose we have come. Thus the ego – on the other hand – is the great denier, to whom We’ve listened. And yet we need but to acknowledge Him Who gave His Word to us in our creation, to remember Him and so recall our Self. Who thinks He exists without God is truly self-deluded. Not a pretty state in which to exist. Why not change Your mind.

² Father, Your Word is mine. Therefore, must I be Holy, just like You. And it is this that I would speak to all my brothers, – suffused with Your Love for Me, I now can feel Your Love for Them – who are given me to cherish as my own, as I am loved and blessed and saved by You. Love is both the Purpose and, thus, the Meaning of Existence.

God’s healing Voice protects all things today.

Correcting everything I see – whether ‘good’ or ‘bad’ – with Love’s exquisite Vision.

¹ Let us today attend the Voice of God, – in place of ego’s – Which speaks an ancient lesson, no more true today than any other day, for God always speaks to each One of Us. Yet has this day been chosen as the time when we will seek and hear and learn and understand. And this will enrich everything for You. Join me in hearing. For the Voice of God tells us of things we cannot understand alone, nor learn apart. We do not exist as separation, each One alone, apart from each Other. It is in this that all things are protected. For God is Whole. All Ideas must, therefore, be included. ‘Alone’ is the ego. All One is God. And in this the healing of the Voice of God is found. He speaks to You every Holy Instant, which is always Now.

Let Us together – You and I – Listen. This invitation is for everyOne. You are included!

² Your healing Voice protects all things today, and so I leave all things to You. I hear You Brother! Help Me remember. I need be anxious over nothing. I am not alone, battling all things that seem oh, so evil, since I know not what to do without You. For Your Voice will tell me what to do and where to go, to whom to speak, and what to say to him, what thoughts to think, what words to give the world. All I need do is stop acting on My own, from ego, and consult with You, and let You speak and act for Me instead. In other words: allow Holy Spirit. The safety that I bring is given me. Father, Your Voice protects all things through me. You are trustworthy, Be-ing only Love.

My heart is beating in the peace of God.

Not in My body. What does that mean but that I live as Divine Peace, not as ego inhabiting a so-called body. And what does that mean but that I am Mind; i.e. Consciousness.

¹ Surrounding me is all the life that God created in His Love. The whole Universe and every Other! It calls to me in every heartbeat and in every breath, in every action and in every thought. Everything is One, and It’s wonderful! Peace fills my heart and floods my body with the purpose of forgiveness. With so much Love, who could need grievances to justify Him! Now my mind is healed, – and feels so Holy – and all I need to save the world is given me. An outpouring Love for All My Brothers. Each heartbeat brings me peace; each breath infuses me with strength. This Life is Spirit! I am a messenger of God, directed by His Voice, sustained by Him in love, and held forever quiet and at peace within His loving arms. Forever embraced with All My Others. Each heartbeat calls His Name, and every one is answered by His Voice, assuring me I am at home in Him. How magnificent is Oneness with God. We All delight It; sweet Reality.

² Let me attend Your Answer, – overflowing Love for All Creation – not my own. Father, my heart is beating in the peace the Heart of Love created. Your Love is Mine by grateful extension. It is there and only there that I can be at home. Your great Heart of Love is Mine too, when I Love All My Brothers.

My holy Self abides in you, God’s Son.

As You as well, for that is what I am: Holy Son of God. Although I had completely forgotten, now I am beginning to remember.

¹ Father, You gave me all Your Sons to be my saviors and my counselors in sight—the bearers of Your holy Voice to me. What a Gift of Love. I must accept It. In them are You reflected, and in them does Christ look back upon me from my Self. Each One of Your belovèd Sons is such a great Gift to Me. Thank You very much! Let not Your Son forget Your holy Name. Let Me now realize that I am the Son to You as well! Let not Your Son forget his holy Source. Thus I presence You. Let not Your Son forget Your name is his. And, therefore, I must always be worthy of the name of Son; Your belovèd One.

² This day we enter into paradise, – and the trip is in Our minds, and never by the means of ego’s so-called ‘dying’ – calling upon God’s Name and on our own, acknowledging our Self in each of us, united in the holy Love of God. We are filled with this glad realization that All of Us are so very Holy! How many saviors God has given us! Each and every single Brother, some of whom We crucified, are now free, risen up like Christ to Us. How can we lose the way to Him, guided carefully by all Our Brothers – when He has filled the world with those who point to Him and given us the sight to look on them? How lovely is the shining vision of all their happy faces!

Creation’s gentleness is all I see.

How hard this is for the mind that thinks it is an ego to start to understand. Yet is it possible when You are willing. For willingness is all that’s needed. Dear Father, help Me see a different world, a world that’s full of Love and free from fear. And ‘world’ here is synonymous with ‘dream’.

¹ I have indeed misunderstood the world because I laid my “sins” on it and saw them looking back at me. Does this seem hard for You to comprehend? How fierce they seemed! What’s ‘out there’ seems so very real to You. And how deceived was I to think that what I feared was in the world instead of in my mind alone. You are still far from sure that this is true. It all seems real and so very, very convincing to You! Yet I am willing to see differently. Today I see the world in the celestial gentleness with which creation shines. This dream is happier than usual. There is no fear in it. This is amazing! Let no appearance of my “sins” obscure the light of Heaven, shining on the world. Let Me be willing to see all with Love. What is reflected here is in God’s Mind. The images I see reflect my thoughts. These kind of thoughts come but from the ego. Yet is my mind at one with God’s. And so I can perceive creation’s gentleness. What a difference from the evil union with the ego.

How gentle God’s Intelligence and Love.

² In quiet would I look upon the world, which but reflects Your Thoughts and mine as well. (Mine in line with Yours belovèd Father.) Let me remember that they are the same, and I will see creation’s gentleness. That Vision then becomes Revelation.

And I will be Creation’s gentleness. And that Be-ing will be Revelation. Thank You God! Amen!

I am surrounded by the Love of God.

Not just I but We. What could be better! How incredible is Our wondrous God whose name is but Love.

How cared for are We when We allow it. Although His power is but Infinite, He loves Us and He cares for Us like a mother with her chicks.₁

¹ Father, You stand before me and behind, beside me, in the place I see myself, and everywhere I go. For Us All You’re always omnipresent. You are in all the things I look upon, the sounds I hear, and every hand that reaches for my own. In all things, Your Love, here, available. In You time disappears, and place becomes a meaningless belief. We step together, with You, into Eternity and peace. What great happiness! For what surrounds Your Son and keeps him safe is Love Itself. Your Love keeps Us safe. Whether We would harm or be harmed, Your Love transforms all things to safety and to peace. There is no Source but This Love incredible, and nothing is that does not share Its holiness, – We All are Holy – that stands beyond Your one creation or without the Love Which holds all things within Itself. All that’s Real is Love; only Love is Real. I am deliberately repetitive for You must get this: “Love alone is Life.”₂ Father, Your Son is like Yourself. We come to You in Your own Name today, to be at peace within Your everlasting Love.

² My brothers, join with me in this today, as One, united. This is salvation’s prayer. We must learn that there is no separation, neither from God nor from each Other. Must We not join in what will save the world along with us? Salvation must include all Our Others.

My holy vision sees all things as pure.

For I have asked that God be My eyes, so I can really see with Love My Brothers, all of My Others.

I am so very weary of the vision ruled by ego. I would see now with God instead and learn to Love all Others.

¹ Father, Your Mind created all that is; Your Spirit entered into it; Your Love gave life to it. No-one but You can teach Me how to Love, for You are Love’s Source. And would I look upon what You created as if it could be made sinful? Do I not really understand just how great is Your Power? I would not perceive such dark and fearful images. Pictures of the dream; they come not from God but from the ego. A madman’s dream is hardly fit to be my choice – and yet it has been – instead of all the loveliness with which You blessed creation—all its purity, its joy, and its eternal, quiet home in You. How beautiful these words, how comforting. How wonderful it is to know that I am part of Heaven. How reassuring!

² And while we still remain outside the gate of Heaven, – blocked still by Our minds – let us look on all we see through holy vision and the eyes of Christ. How do We do this but by Our willing eyes of innocence. Let all appearances seem pure to us that we may pass them by in innocence and walk together to our Father’s house as brothers and the holy Sons of God. Yes, indeed, We need a new, and different kind of Vision. We need eyes of God.

Let me perceive no differences today.

Love always is the appropriate response to everything. For the impartial, total Love of God is the one Healer, be it of violence, despair, or pain, or even danger. Love’s power overrides them all, for what else is Love but God.

¹ Father, You have one Son. And it is he that I would look upon today. He is Your one creation. This belovèd Son includes everyOne! Separation surely is not of God, but of the ego; and, therefore, unreal. Why should I perceive a thousand forms in what remains as one? Why should I give this one a thousand names, when only one suffices? For Your Son must bear Your Name, for You created him. The Face of God’s Son is Infinite yet It is still as One. Let me not see him as a stranger to his Father, nor as stranger to myself. He is My Self too. For he is part of me and I of him, and we are part of You Who are our Source, eternally united in Your Love, eternally the holy Son of God. The Son of God is One, yet Infinite.

Singular, and yet quite universal, this is always True.

² We who are one would recognize this day the truth about ourselves. We are not – cannot be! – separated from Our Others. It just is an impossibility! We would come home and rest in unity. Stop fighting Oneness. Let Us embrace It, since It’s wonderful. For there is peace, and nowhere else can peace be sought and found. Nothing else is Truth.

What is the Body?

Well, You know, it’s what I am, isn’t it?

Well, no! Not hardly! Let’s discuss this now.

¹ The body is a fence the Son of God imagines he has built to separate parts of his Self from other parts. Oh! Now You get it! The body was made to separate You from the Rest of You. Let Me let You sit with Your “Aha!” It is within this fence, he thinks he lives, to die as it decays and crumbles. For within this fence he thinks that he is safe from love. Is the body now a bit less appealing to You than if was before? Let’s go on and read some more. Identifying with his safety, he regards himself as what his safety is. How else could he be certain he remains within the body, keeping love outside? The importance of the body, then, is that it keeps You separated from all Your other Brothers. By the way, beyond the feel-good, this is the main appeal of sex, when two of You seem to join as one, then can part again.

² The body will not stay. Proving You’re not stuck with it and can always get another. Yet this he sees as double safety. For the Son of God’s impermanence is “proof” his fences work and do the task his mind assigns to them. And it proves that He really has become a ‘human’. For if his oneness still remained untouched, who could attack and who could be attacked? Who could be victor? Who could be his prey? Who could be victim? Who the murderer? And if he did not die, what “proof” is there that God’s eternal Son can be destroyed? This is the bottom line You know: that the Son has somehow bested God by becoming something ‘human’; surely not Divine.

Yet none of His insane beliefs are real.

³ The body is a dream. Solid though it seems. Like other dreams, it sometimes seems to picture happiness but can quite suddenly revert to fear, where every dream is born. It looks without for its validation. Yet all Reality is but within Love’s mentality. The Mind that is the Truth comes straight from Love. For only love creates in truth, and truth can never fear. The body does oppose this Mind of Love. Made to be fearful, must the body serve the purpose given it. But we can change the purpose which the body will obey by changing what we think that it is for. In the world it also serves to identify, for one’s identity is wrapped up in the body. Not so God’s purpose.

⁴ The body is the means by which God’s Son returns to sanity. For Heaven meets and speaks to Him where He is; and where He thinks He is is in the body. Though it was made to fence him into hell without escape, yet has the goal of Heaven been exchanged for the pursuit of hell. It’s not that hard to do; just change direction. Instead of hell, make the choice for Heaven. The Son of God extends his hand to reach his brother and to help him walk along the road with him. Christ always walks with You and talks with You. Choose now to acknowledge Him and listen. Now is the body holy. Now it serves to heal the mind that it was made to kill. For it now will move at Mind’s direction.

⁵ You will identify with what you think will make you safe. Now is the time to learn what really does. Whatever it may be, you will believe that it is one with you. Make the choice for Truth. Your safety lies in truth and not in lies. Love is your safety. Love then is the Truth. Fear does not exist. For Love has come in and, so very gently, does dismiss it. Identify with love, and you are safe. Identify with love, and you are home. Identify with love, and find your Self.

For when You truly Love, You are real and safe and home, for Love is Reality. (That’s the bottom line!)

What is Sin?

¹Sin is insanity. – To harm or use a Brother is unheard of in Heaven, as We Love and appreciate each Other, which the ego cannot comprehend. For its own value comes in being better than a Brother. What insanity for equality is what beautifies All of Creation. There are no kings or queens or leaders of the pack for All exists as Harmony. For Love is Its Source. – To think otherwise is nothing but disturbing for it is an insane lie with no foundation. – It is the means by which the mind is driven mad and seeks to let illusions take the place of truth. – Illusions it would then impose upon All of its Brothers. Pure insanity. – And being mad, it sees illusions where truth should be and where it really is. Sin gave the body eyes, for what is there the sinless would behold? What need have they of sights or sounds or touch? – If You could but understand that sensation is a product of the dream, You would be still and very quiet, awaiting the experience of God, instead of the screaming senses. – What would they hear or reach to grasp? What would they sense at all? – This is not how the Son of God cognizes, for He is but aware already. – To sense is not to know. And truth can be but filled with knowledge and with nothing else. To Know is not to learn for there is nothing hid from You belovèd Son of God. You have just pretended to ‘forget’, a concept that’s unknown to Reality.

² The body is the instrument the mind made in its striving to deceive itself. Its purpose is to strive. – Bodies speak of separation, while Mind is One. And Oneness is so effortless. It is pure Joy. – Yet can the goal of striving change. – It rests not upon a permanent foundation. For it does stand on shifting sands. – And now the body serves a different aim for striving. – One more rewarding. – What it seeks for now is chosen by the aim the mind has taken as replacement for the goal of self-deception. – How much more pleasant is Self-awareness! – Truth can be its aim as well as lies. – Truth wills Your mind be always free to make a better choice than it had made before. – The senses then will seek instead for witnesses to what is true.

³ Sin is the home of all illusions, which but stand for things imagined, issuing from thoughts which are untrue. They are the “proof” that what has no reality is real. Sin is but the opposite of the freedom of the holy, blessèd Son of God. That is what You are.

Sin “proves” God’s Son is evil; timelessness must have an end; eternal life must die. And God Himself has lost the Son He loves, with but corruption to complete Himself, His Will forever overcome by death, love slain by hate, and peace to be no more. Sin’s beliefs are so preposterous! Indeed! The Son of God did forget to laugh at just such nonsense.

⁴ A madman’s dreams are frightening, and sin appears indeed to terrify. – The ego keeps control of You by fear. – And yet what sin perceives is but a childish game. Childish, wicked game; not all games are fun.

The Son of God may play he has become a body, prey to evil and to guilt, with but a little life that ends in death. Yet what real pleasure do You think You that could find in such a nasty game as this? A ‘game’ that makes the Son of God but a stranger to Himself. How very painful.

But all the while his Father shines on him and loves him with an everlasting Love which his pretenses cannot change at all. Dear Son of God You are so very Loved! Let Me repeat it: You’re so belovèd! You simply have no idea how much that You are Loved by God.

⁵ How long, oh Son of God, will you maintain the game of sin? – Think on this: Don’t You prefer Love to fear? Do You like both, to hurt and to be hurt? – Shall we not put away these sharp-edged children’s toys? – Don’t You prefer to Love and to Be Loved? – How soon will you be ready to come home? Perhaps today? – Love but awaits You with expectancy. Your sandals, ring and robe wait by the gate.₁ – There is no sin. Creation is unchanged. Would you still hold return to Heaven back? How long, oh holy Son of God, how long?

Imagine Be-ing sure again that You are so Loved and safe. You are so cherished.

What is the World

¹The world is false perception.

The ego’s strange twisted view of Heaven. It is born of error, and it has not left its source. Error is parent to the world; it is both its conceiver, and executor. It will remain no longer than the thought which gave it birth is cherished. Change Your thought about what You believe and watch all the beliefs change accordingly. When the thought of separation has been changed to one of true forgiveness will the world be seen in quite another light, and one which leads to truth, where all the world must disappear and all its errors vanish. So what is “true forgiveness”? What is false? Why is it so important to forgive? Read this next sentence. Now its source has gone, and its effects are gone as well. You did not make up the world through Your Love for God. Far from it! Continue reading:

² The world was made as an attack on God. It’s Your new version of Reality. It symbolizes fear. And what is fear except love’s absence? What is this Love that banishes all fear? Just disappears it! It is correction of the world and of all its lying dreams. Thus the world was meant to be a place where God could enter not and where His Son could be apart from Him. What insanity! Here was perception – a twisted way to see Reality – born, for knowledge could not cause such insane thoughts. So was born another way of thinking, another ‘vision’. But eyes deceive, and ears hear falsely. Now mistakes become quite possible, for certainty has gone. The meager human sense of life has no foundation, for it lacks reality, being based in dreams.

³ The mechanisms of illusion have been born instead. They are but idle dreams, having no reality at all. Yet You call this ‘life’. For You wish to believe that they are real. And now they go to find what has been given them to seek. Their aim is to fulfil the purpose which the world was made to witness and make real. They see in its illusions but a solid base where truth exists, upheld apart from lies. This is the strange and twisted ‘love’ of materiality. Yet everything that they report is but illusion, which is kept apart from truth. It must be, for Truth would destroy all illusion in a flash!

⁴ As sight was made to lead away from truth, it can be redirected. For Reality has always been here, waiting patiently. Sounds become the call of God. For His Love speaks to You from everywhere! And all perception can be given a new purpose by the one Whom God appointed savior to the world. For He can easily transform the world, and the way to living Heaven gladly opens up for You, right here in the dream. Follow His light and see the world as He beholds it. He gives You new eyes.Hear His Voice alone in all that speaks to you. For Truth is Your Friend. And let Him give you peace and certainty, which you have thrown away but Heaven has preserved for you in Him. He shows You the way by which You may walk to Heaven while You are still in the dream, for God can be known, right here and right now.

⁵ Let us not rest content until the world has joined our changed perception. Thus can it be healed. Let us not be satisfied until forgiveness has been made complete. There’s that F-word again, for it is but Your key to Heaven. And let us not attempt to change our function. In other words, don’t ignore the crucial need for forgiveness. We must save the world. For it is We who did imprison it within Our bad dreams. For we who made it must behold it through the eyes of Christ, – We must unmake it – that what was made to die be restored to Everlasting Life.

What is Salvation

¹Salvation is a promise made by God that you would find your way to Him at last.

In other words, despite Your defection from Him, God is still One in Love with You. It cannot not be kept. In other words, less confusing, His promises to You are better far than gold.₁ It guarantees that time will have an end, and all the thoughts that have been born in time will end as well. The nightmare can’t last. It must be ended. God’s Word is given every mind which thinks that it has separate thoughts and will replace these thoughts of conflict with the Thought of peace. We’re always thinking. Happiness rests on the quality of what Your thinking is.

² The Thought of peace was given to God’s Son the instant that his mind had thought of war. His mind had slipped into insanity. There was no need for such a Thought before, for peace was given without opposite and merely was. But when the mind is split, – when the unreal becomes the real to You – there is a need of healing. So the Thought which has the power to heal the split became a part of every fragment of the mind that still was one but failed to recognize its oneness. Now it did not know itself and thought its own identity was lost. Do You understand what I am saying? The Allness of God is so grand that though He knows not of gaps, His Nature fills them.

³ Salvation is undoing in the sense that it does nothing, failing to support the world of dreams and malice. Its Wholeness fills the emptiness of dreams of which It knows not. Thus it lets illusions go. By not supporting them, it merely lets them quietly go down to dust. By Be-ing, Truth dissipates all error. And what they hid is now revealed—an altar to the holy Name of God whereon His Word is written, with the gifts of your forgiveness laid before it and the memory of God not far behind. Your Reality cannot be hidden!

⁴ Let us come daily to this holy place and spend a while together. What could be lovelier than Our holy Divine Communion? Here we share our final dream. It is a dream in which there is no sorrow, – can You imagine! – for it holds a hint of all the glory given us by God. Yes! You got a feel for its great goodness! The grass is pushing through the soil, the trees are budding now, and birds have come to live within their branches. Earth is being born again in new perception. Silent spring has been replaced by such joyous overflowing! Night has gone, and we have come together in the light, with brand-new Vision.

⁵ From here we give salvation to the world, for it is here salvation was received. Happiness has replaced all misery. Every tear is gone, each one has been dried by the warmth of Love. The song of our rejoicing – cannot be contained, joy running over – is the call to all the world that freedom is returned, that time is almost over, and God’s Son has but an instant more – an Holy Instant, pregnant with promise! – to wait until his Father is remembered, dreams are done, eternity has shined away the world, and only Heaven now exists at all. Strange nightmares gone, as if they never had existed. They have been replaced by Love!

God is my life. I have no life but His.

Nor do I want another. God is forever sufficient for Eternity. He fills My every seeming need with Love.

¹ I was mistaken when I thought I lived apart from God, – My Source, My Substance; that would be an impossibility – a separate entity which moved in isolation, unattached, and housed within a body. Yet God knows You but as Holy Spirit. Now I know my life is God’s. Therefore, I – We All – must be Eternal. I have no other home, and I do not exist apart from Him. It is impossible, for God is really and truly All. He has no Thoughts that are not part of me, and I have none but those which are of Him. For Source and Its Idea are but One.

² Our Father, let us see the face of Christ – within the mirror – instead of our mistakes. For we who are Your holy Son are sinless. ‘Sin’ is but the dream. We would look upon our sinlessness, – Our sweet Innocence – for guilt proclaims that we are not Your Son. Guilt is the liar. We want but the Truth, for We’re more than willing to Awaken to Reality. How We yearn for You. And we would not forget You longer. No more aimless wandering, like strangers in a stranger land. We are lonely here and long for Heaven where we are at home. (Though We dream We’re here.) Today we would return. Now We’re not too far. Our Name is Yours, and we acknowledge that we are Your Son. And We’re so grateful!

What is Forgiveness

What an awesome question! I know I’m going to be told there’s nothing to forgive! This is but a dream, although it seems real.

¹ Forgiveness recognizes what you thought your brother did to you has not occurred. You’re only dreaming! Stop gnashing Your teeth! That is the good news! In fact, all the news I am giving You is Good! Stop resisting it dear Sisters and dear Brothers. For it means Your sins also are unreal, and not just Your Brother’s! It does not pardon sins and make them real. It sees there was no sin. This is but a dream! Albeit, no matter how convincing it does seem You. And in this view are all your sins forgiven. Every one of them; even the worst of them that You’d thought were unforgiveable. What is sin except a false idea about God’s Son? You’ve forgotten Who You are, Belovèd. Forgiveness merely sees its falsity and therefore lets it go. It will help to stop believing in the dream. Right now, perhaps! What then is free to take its place is now the Will of God: grand Reality.

² An unforgiving thought is one which makes a judgment that it will not raise to doubt, although it is not true. The judger does believe the dream is real; oh so very real. The mind is closed and will not be released. The ego is both prison and jailer.The thought protects projection, tightening its chains so that distortions are more veiled and more obscure, less easily accessible to doubt, and further kept from reason. The ego mind holds tight to its own very ‘loved’ ‘creation’What can come between a fixed projection and the aim that it has chosen as its needed goal? Projection is deliberate; it must protect the ego. That’s its only job.

³ An unforgiving thought does many things. To nurse its fantasy and keep it ‘real’. In frantic action, it pursues its goal, – let’s say doggedly – twisting and overturning what it sees as interfering with its chosen path. Its one ‘god’ is self. Distortion is its purpose and the means by which it would accomplish it as well. It sets about its furious attempts to smash reality, without concern for anything that would appear to pose a contradiction to its point of view. It cannot afford to have You know what’s real. That would be its death knoll. We could say knell if You prefer. Either way, the ego just must be right!

⁴ Forgiveness, on the other hand, is still and quietly does nothing. For Love needs not to do, but simply Be. Let’s let Love be free to create miracles for You and Me. It offends no aspect of reality nor seeks to twist it to appearance that it likes. For all things look like Love to Its Vision. It merely looks and waits and judges not. He who would not forgive must judge, for he must justify his failure to forgive. Don’t let this line just slip on by You; make sure to give credence to it, for it is extremely crucial.But he who would forgive himself must learn to welcome truth exactly as it is. For heeding it will most surely heal You.

⁵ Do nothing, then, and let forgiveness show you what to do through Him Who is your Guide, your Savior and Defender, strong in hope, and certain of your ultimate success. His Voice will lead You very carefully, that You not stumble. He has forgiven you already, for such is His function given Him by God. Now must you share His function and forgive whom He has saved, whose sinlessness He sees, and whom He honors as the Son of God. You and Your Others, every single extremely precious One.

Introduction

^IP2:1 Words will mean little now.

As You are willing to allow the Peace of God to be Your one Source of feeling. It alone is Truth. Anything You will not to feel will still be spoken to You. We use them but as guides on which we do not now depend. For now we seek direct experience of truth alone. Which God makes quite available to You. The lessons which remain are merely introductions to the times in which we leave the world of pain and go to enter peace. This is their true aim. Now we begin to reach the goal this course has set – as You’re receptive – and find the end toward which our practicing was geared. The end which is but a new beginning.

² Now we attempt to let the exercise be merely a beginning. An open door inviting Our curious exploration. Let Us walk through it with great gratitude for sweet adventure. For we wait in quiet expectation for our God and Father. He has promised He will take the final step Himself. For He leaves Us not alone, but abides by Our side always. And we are sure His promises are kept. For He is faithful. We have come far along the road, and now we wait for Him. Glad now to make no move alone, without asking His Guidance. We will continue spending time with Him each morning and at night, as long as makes us happy. Here lies Our true Joy; It is but awaiting glad acceptance. We will not consider time a matter of duration now. We use as much as we will need for the result that we desire. God is Our focus, Our one daily need. Nor will we forget our hourly remembrance in between, calling to God when we have need of Him as we are tempted to forget our goal. Not just daily, but each holy instant.

³ We will continue with a central thought for all the days to come. And we will use that thought to introduce our times of rest and calm our minds at need. Yet we will not content ourselves with simple practicing in the remaining holy instants which conclude the year that we have given God. Which will lead eventually – or sooner! – to Eternity – We say some simple words of welcome and expect our Father to reveal Himself as He has promised. He has already, yet We have not noticed Him in the gentle breeze, the warm sunshine, the silent snow, the cleansing rain, the majestic oceans, the useful honeybees, the shady trees. The list is endless. We have called on Him, and He has promised that His Son will not remain unanswered when he calls His Name. Yet is God ever here and ever near, waiting for the time when We will decide to pay attention. It could be today.

⁴ Now do we come to Him with but His Word upon our minds and hearts. Silencing the ego’s empty chatter, We can both hear and feel His Love for All. And wait for Him to take the step to us that He has told us, through His Voice, He would not fail to take when we invited Him. Patiently He waits for Our Wakening. He has not left His Son in all his madness nor betrayed His trust in him. He sees His Son’s perfection, thus insanity has no reality for Him. Has not His faithfulness earned Him the invitation that He seeks to make us happy? How stubborn are We, how determined never to be happy. Let Us yield to Him, not resist His Love. We will offer it, and it will be accepted. This is a given: He waits for Us with glad expectation. So our times with Him will now be spent. We say the words of invitation that His Voice suggests, – opening Our hearts – and then we wait for Him to come to us. Come He surely will.

⁵ Now is the time of prophecy fulfilled. The accepted time. Now are all ancient promises upheld and fully kept. For You are willing to receive them now. No step remains for time to separate from its accomplishment. /g–Glad willingness does bring it to You now. For now we cannot fail. Sit silently and wait upon your Father. He has willed to come to you when you have recognized it is your will He do so. It is but unwillingness that has blocked Your reception of His coming to You. And you could have never come this far unless you saw, however dimly, that it is your will. The more You long for God, the sooner, faster, comes He to You, for the choice is Yours. He is ever-present; it’s You who must allow His coming.

⁶ I am so close to you we cannot fail. For You are not in this worthiest endeavour by Yourself. Father, we give these holy times to You in gratitude to Him Who taught us how to leave the world of sorrow in exchange for its replacement given us by You. Your faithful Son with the Holy Spirit. We look not backward now. For You would have this Holy Spirit be Us as well as He. We look ahead and fix our eyes upon the journey’s end. We worry not about how many steps it takes Us to achieve it. Each one is so very joyful! Accept these little gifts of thanks from us, as through Christ’s vision we behold a world beyond the one we made and take that world to be the full replacement of our own, and We gladly realize it is but a step to Heaven; one We would take now.

⁷ And now we wait in silence, unafraid and certain of Your coming. We feel Your Presence; enveloped by It, all We know is Love. We have sought to find our way by following the Guide You sent to us. His Love mirrors Yours. We did not know the way, but You did not forget us. And we know that You will not forget us now. We ask but that Your ancient promises be kept which are Your Will to keep. Before We asked, You had already accomplished it for Us. We will with You in asking this, that We know it done. The Father and the Son, Whose holy Will created all that is, can fail in nothing. In this certainty, we undertake these last few steps to You and rest in confidence upon Your Love, Which will not fail the Son who calls to You. We remember We are that Son already. Our experience waits on Our acceptance of the Truth.

⁸ And so we start upon the final part of this one holy year which we have spent together in the search for truth and God, Who is its one Creator. We have found the way He chose for us and made the choice to follow it as He would have us go. Thanks be to His Gifts! His hand has held us up. His Thoughts have lit the darkness of our minds. His Love has called to us unceasingly since We hid from Eternity and unreal time began. Now would We end ‘time’ for it was an horrible idea.

⁹ We had a wish that God would fail to have the Son whom He created for Himself. We wanted God to change Himself and be what we would make of Him. We would change Ourselves; therefore, God as well. How insane We were! And we believed that our insane desires were the truth. How ridiculous! Our willfulness had but put Us in an insane stupor! Now we are glad that this is all undone, and we no longer think illusions true. We’re learning better. The memory of God is shimmering across the wide horizons of our minds, which – as Reality – are Infinite. A moment more, and it will rise again. A moment more, and we who are God’s Sons are safely home, where He would have us be. It is but the happiest thing I do: listening to You!

¹⁰ Now is the need for practice almost done. For in this final section we will come to understand that we need only call to God and all temptations disappear. Yes! Really it’s that simple. Only ego complicates in order to confuse. Instead of words, we need but feel His Love. Love ever-present; always available for everyOne. God is trustworthy. Instead of prayer, we need but call His Name. It is that simple. Sing hallelujah! Complicated things may seem deep and esoteric, quite impressive; Reality, however, is extremely simple, and very peaceful. For all Its peace and simplicity, You never will be bored! Let Us continue. Instead of judging, we need but be still and let all things be healed. Only ego wants to do, while Holy Spirit simply shifts to the Reality of all things Good.We will accept the way God’s plan will end, (plan for salvation) as we received the way it started. Now it is complete. This year has brought us to eternity. His plans for Eternity increase in Goodness as each Holy Instant is experienced by You. This is Truth for All of God’s Ideas, and not just for You! His Good, then, must be Infinite indeed!

¹¹ One further use for words we still retain. From time to time, instructions on a theme of special relevance will intersperse our daily lessons and the periods of wordless, deep experience which should come afterwards. Do You realize now that God has only Good for You, not just Now, but forever! These special thoughts should be reviewed each day, each one of them to be continued till the next is given you. They should be slowly read and thought about a little while, preceding one of the holy and blessed instants in the day. We give the first of these instructions now. Remember, this Course is quite specific to Your happiness, as well as Your peace. You are dearly loved!

For I have realized that only peace brings freedom. And that peace must come from God.
For I am still as God created me. There is but One Source of the Universe, of which I am part. And that Source is God, the Source of all Good.

¹ For this review, we take but one idea each day and practice it as often as is possible. – Which naturally will be as often as You choose it to be. – Besides the time you give morning and evening, which should not be less than 15 minutes, and the hourly remembrances you make throughout the day, use the idea as often as you can between them. Each of these ideas alone would be sufficient for salvation, if it were learned truly. Each would be enough to give release to you and to the world from every form of bondage and invite the memory of God to come again. The memory of God is but Your Reality. Therefore, it is not of the past but is present right here and right now.

² With this in mind, we start our practicing in which we carefully review the thoughts the Holy Spirit has bestowed on us in our last 20 lessons. Each contains the whole curriculum if understood, practiced, accepted, and applied to all the seeming happenings throughout the day. You are understanding that these ideas – Gifts of the Holy Spirit – are Your key to freedom from the hell in which You are. Even if You aren’t suffering, Your Brothers and Your Sisters are; most of the current seven billion just in this dream. I know You want to help to set them free.

This Course aims not so much to heal specific instances in the dream, although it does. Its goal is total freedom by healing the entire dream.

One is enough. – The “One” refers to just one of the ideas, yet is has a double meaning. For if just One of You would be 100 percent faithful, that would be sufficient. For One of You – with Me – make the Two who will undo the dream. One is sufficient, more is efficient. – But for that one, there must be no exceptions made. – Once again We have a dual meaning and opportunity. And so we need to use them all and let them blend as one, as each contributes to the whole we learn. And yet, remember: One more is enough.

³ These practice sessions, like our last review, are centered round a central theme with which we start and end each lesson. It is this:

Your statement of freedom. Your passport to Heaven. The Truth is most magnificent.

⁵ The day begins and ends with this. And we repeat it every time the hour strikes or we remember in between we have a function that transcends the world we see. Beyond this and a repetition of the special thought we practice for the day, no form of exercise is urged except a deep relinquishment of everything that clutters up the mind and makes it deaf to reason, sanity, and simple truth. Your faithfulness in this appointed and important task brings great joy to Heaven, as well as My deep appreciation.

⁶ We will attempt to get beyond all words and special forms of practicing for this review. For we attempt this time to reach a quickened pace along a shorter path to the serenity and peace of God. We merely close our eyes and then forget all that we thought we knew and understood. For thus is freedom given us from all we did not know and failed to understand. Now You do know and understand the meaning of My words to Nicodemus: “Ye must be born again”.₁

⁷ There is but one exception to this lack of structuring. Permit no idle thought to go unchallenged. If you notice one, deny its hold and hasten to assure your mind that this is not what it would have. Then gently let the thought which you denied be given up in sure and quick exchange for the idea you practice for the day. And thus do You replace error with Truth.

⁸ When you are tempted, hasten to proclaim your freedom from temptation as you say:

⁹ This thought I do not want. I choose instead….

¹⁰ And then repeat the idea for the day, and let it take the place of what you thought. Beyond such special applications of each day’s idea, we will add but a few formal expressions or specific thoughts to aid your practicing. Instead we give these times of quiet to the Teacher Who instructs in quiet, speaks of peace, and gives our thoughts whatever meaning they may have.

How crucial it is to everyOne to have holy freedom; freedom from the dream. Freedom from all dreams. God’s Creation – along with God – never slumbers nor does sleep.₁

[190] I choose the joy of God instead of pain. This should be obvious, yet contemplate Your world, which has made the opposite choice.

¹ Pain is my own idea. Why would I have invented such a thing. I must have slipped into insanity in My desire to be different from God, then dreamt that I had succeeded. That’s heavy duty! It is not a thought of God, but one I thought apart
from Him and from His Will. In My insane rebellion against Good. Thank God Sanity is now returning! His Will is joy
and only joy for His beloved Son. What a great relief from eons of pain. And that – wonderful relief – I choose instead of what I made. For God – in His great Love – kept safe that choice for each One of Us.

So far the concentration has been on being free of materiality. Today We will focus more on What We are;

For I am still as God created me, which is just as He. Drink that in deeply.

[189] I feel the Love of God within me now. Not just within but God as all of Me; His Reality. There can be no Me separate from He.

¹ The Love of God is what created me. We All come from He, and quite directly. He is Our One Source, and not Our parents. He’s their Source as well.
The Love of God is everything I am. Again, no Me but He!
The Love of God proclaimed me as His Son. Still is proclaiming, and will forever! For Love is Be-ing Me eternally, which is amazing!
The Love of God within me sets me free. Free from the erroneous belief that I am an ego. Naught but the Holy Son of God are We, intrinsic to He, and forever One.

[188] The peace of God is shining in me now. Not just in Me, but truly as Me too!

¹ I will be still and let the earth be still – quietly rein in My restless mind – along with me. Harmony with both My Self and All of God’s Revelation: Each of My Others, whether Brother, Sister, flower, fish, elephant or wolverine, great Pyrenees and Leonburger. And in that stillness, we
will find the peace of God. Every One of Us. It is within
my heart, – where all Good must be – which witnesses to God Himself, and to every single blessèd One of His belovèd Sons.

No limits can there ever be for Me as the Son of God.
For I am still as God created me, with no boundaries.

[187] I bless the world because I bless myself. For the world and I – in My Infinity – are ever One. And this too is Truth for All My Brothers.

¹ God’s blessing shines upon me from within my heart where He abides. For God is not a separate Presence outside of Me or Thee; rather S/He is forever Be-ing We. I need but turn to Him, – S/He is right at hand – and every sorrow melts away as I accept His boundless Love for me, and as Me to Be.

Free of all the ego’s mental limits (i.e. persistent lack of willingness): no mental disability to interfere with the ability to be and see as God would have Me be and see, and not as I would have Me be and see!

For I am still as God created me. (Able to be and see most holily.)

[186] Salvation of the world depends on me. Upon My willingness to allow Myself – allow God’s Vision to become My own – to be and see the world as holy. (It is a mouthful, yet the ego does resist it!)

¹ I am entrusted with the gifts of God
because I am His Son. And I would give
His gifts where He intended them to be. To All My greatly belovèd Others!₁

That, indeed, is freedom. For God creating Me and everyOne didn’t happen on the run and then be done. Our creating unfolds throughout Eternity. For it has been going on forevermore, and will continue through Eternity.

[185] I want the peace of God. What else could make Life worth living?

¹ The peace of God is everything I want. What else could compare with the peace God gives? It’s beyond riches, for it’s the basis for all happiness; prayer’s foundation, catalyst for health.

What is the peace of God but surrender to serenity. That sounds good to Me.

The peace of God is my one goal; I have no other. (Is there another? I know there isn’t.) It is My holy rock of Gibraltar; the aim of all my living here, the end I seek, my purpose and my function and my life while I abide where I am not at home. In other words, it’s everything to Me

I am not a body. I am free. Free from the beliefs of so-called ‘humanity’. I am God’s Son, His holy One.

For I am still as God created me. The Son of God never has been ‘human’; He’s just been dreaming.

[184] The Name of God is my inheritance. We All can say equally: God’s Nature is the same as Mine. My Inheritance is but forever!

¹ God’s Name reminds me that I am His Son, – such a blessèd One! –
not slave to time, – eternal as God, so like My Father because We are One – unbound by laws which rule
the world of sick illusions, free in God,
forever and forever one with Him. Again: I’m just as He, and just as free.

What am I if I’m not a body? How did God create Me?
For I am still as God created me.

Good questions Sister! You are Spirit just as God, Your Source is.

[183] I call upon God’s Name and on my own. For as I always say, Your Name means Your Real Nature. God’s Name and Nature both are Good, just as Yours are!

¹ The Name of God is my deliverance
from every thought of evil and of sin,
because it is my own as well as His.

This makes perfect sense, for in the Light of Your most Holy Nature, ‘evil’ and ‘sin’ are non-existent!

REVIEW VI

¹ For this review, we take but one idea each day and practice it as often as is possible. – Which naturally will be as often as You choose it to be. – Besides the time you give morning and evening, which should not be less than 15 minutes, and the hourly remembrances you make throughout the day, use the idea as often as you can between them. Each of these ideas alone would be sufficient for salvation, if it were learned truly. Each would be enough to give release to you and to the world from every form of bondage and invite the memory of God to come again. The memory of God is but Your Reality. Therefore, it is not of the past but is present right here and right now.

² With this in mind, we start our practicing in which we carefully review the thoughts the Holy Spirit has bestowed on us in our last 20 lessons. Each contains the whole curriculum if understood, practiced, accepted, and applied to all the seeming happenings throughout the day. You are understanding that these ideas – Gifts of the Holy Spirit – are Your key to freedom from the hell in which You are. Even if You aren’t suffering, Your Brothers and Your Sisters are; most of the current seven billion just in this dream. I know You want to help to set them free.

This Course aims not so much to heal specific instances in the dream, although it does. Its goal is total freedom by healing the entire dream.

One is enough. – The “One” refers to just one of the ideas, yet is has a double meaning. For if just One of You would be 100 percent faithful, that would be sufficient. For One of You – with Me – make the Two who will undo the dream. One is sufficient, more is efficient. – But for that one, there must be no exceptions made. – Once again We have a dual meaning and opportunity. Free of seeming changes by the ego, I’m still Son of God!.
For I am still as God created – is still creating – me.

I am a stranger here in this frenetic dream. Let Me still My mind and find Myself at Home again.

¹ Why would I choose to stay an instant more – in the insanity of the ego – where I do not belong, when God Himself
has given me His Voice to call me home? I hear You loud and clear My dear, belovèd Holy Spirit. And I am coming!

There is no peace except the peace of God.

For God is Love, and only Love brings peace. And peace is joyous! Ego knows not Love and is disruption, quite opposed to peace. Shift to Love and peace is ever-present.

¹ Seek you no further. No point in looking for what is not there. You will not find peace except the peace of God. It’s the only Peace; there is no other. So You won’t find it if You look elsewhere. Accept this fact, and save yourself the agony of yet more bitter disappointments, bleak despair, and sense of icy hopelessness and doubt. Seek you no further. There is nothing else for you to find except the peace of God, unless you seek for misery and pain, which is quite insane.

² This is the final point to which each one must come at last, to lay aside all hope of finding happiness where there is none, of being saved by what can only hurt, of making peace of chaos, joy of pain and Heaven out of hell. Save Yourself the grief! Just go straight to God. Attempt no more to win through losing nor to die to live. You cannot but be asking for defeat. For it is in Living that You find Eternal Love and Life.

³ Yet you can ask as easily for love, for happiness, and for eternal life in peace that has no ending. What could be better? And they all are available just for the asking! Amazing! Ask for this, and you can only win. To ask for what you have already must succeed. To ask that what is false be true can only fail. Forgive yourself for vain imaginings, and seek no longer what you cannot find. Yet this is the way the ego does direct You constantly. It has o wisdom; none whatsoever! For what could be more foolish than to seek and seek and seek again for hell, when you have but to look with open eyes to find that Heaven lies before you, through a door that opens easily to welcome you? For Heaven has been waiting expectantly for Your return. Don’t disappoint Us, and don’t cheat Yourself of great happiness. Why would You do so by listening to the foolish ego, when God Herself is calling You to Home?

⁴ Come home. Delay no longer. Heaven awaits You now, without dying! You have not found your happiness in foreign places – i.e. in the worlds – and in alien forms – of matter bodies – which have no meaning to you, though you sought to make them meaningful. (You invented them, then deliberately forgot You did so that You could pretend that they were real. You convinced Yourself. And yet You could not make them really real. You still can’t do it.) This world is not where you belong. You are a stranger here. But it is given you to find the means whereby the world no longer seems to be a prison house for you or anyone. We have called this the happy dream; the step before Your return to God, to Heaven.

⁵ Freedom is given you where you beheld but chains and iron doors. Your mind is being freed from ego dreams. Then You step into the happy dream, then return to Heaven. For you must change your mind about the purpose of the world if you would find escape. It is not a place to stay in dreams, but to begin to waken through the door of Love that We have called forgiveness. For what addicts You here are Your many grudges. You will be bound till all the world is seen by you as blessed and everyone made free of your mistakes and honored as he is. You made him not; no more yourself. For this perception is not real, but simply narrowed vision. And as you free the one, the other is accepted as he is. Which means that You can go Home together.

⁶ What does forgiveness do? In truth it has no function and does nothing, for it is unknown in Heaven, where it would be simply incomprehensible to God’s Son. It is only hell where it is needed and where it must serve a mighty function. For hell is the awful home of grudges. Just endless grudges! Is not the escape of God’s beloved Son from evil dreams that he imagines, yet believes are true, a worthy purpose? Would You not be freed? Who could hope for more while there appears to be a choice to make between success and failure, love and fear? Such a strange idea, of opposites, What could oppose God’s great magnificence! It is everything!

Nonetheless, the dream is quite convincing. You believe in it, and want Your satisfaction, also known as retribution. Enters forgiveness with a different plan: free the prisoners who have provoked Your ire. Let them go; i.e. forgive them.

“This is insane!” screams the ego. “They must suffer for their sins against Me! They cannot get off scot free!” The ego simply cannot – will not – comprehend forgiveness.

⁷ There is no peace except the peace of God because He has one Son, who cannot make a world in opposition to God’s Will and to his own, which is the same as His. What could he hope to find in such a world? It cannot have reality because it never was created. It must be a dream! Yet how does He awaken from the dream? He knows not how, so looks for pleasure in it, where it cannot possibly be found. Is it here that he would seek for peace? Or must he see that, as he looks on it, the world can but deceive? Yet can he learn to look on it another way and find the peace of God. It is this way that We are learning here.

⁸ Peace is the bridge that everyone will cross to leave this world behind. But peace begins within the world perceived as different and leading from this fresh perception to the gate of Heaven and the way beyond. We must learn to see things differently right where We are dreaming. Peace is the answer to conflicting goals, to senseless journeys, frantic, vain pursuits, and meaningless endeavors. What will bring peace but Your forgiveness of what never was and what never could be. Now the way is easy, sloping gently toward the bridge where freedom lies within the peace of God.

⁹ Let us not lose our way again today. We go to Heaven, and the path is straight. Only if we attempt to wander can there be delay and needless wasted time on thorny byways. Let’s make sure to forget all Our grudges. God alone is sure, and He will guide our footsteps. He will not desert His Son in need, nor let him stray forever from his home. The Father calls; the Son will hear, and surely answer. And that is all there is to what appears to be a world apart from God where bodies have reality. Our stories are now seen to be only silly dreams, not real.

¹⁰ Now is there silence. Seek no further. You have come to where the road is carpeted with leaves of false desires, fallen from the trees of hopelessness you sought before. Now are they underfoot. Forget the past for it was but a dream, more like a nightmare. And you look up and on toward Heaven, with the body’s eyes but serving for an instant longer now. Peace is already recognized at last, and you can feel its soft embrace surround your heart and mind with comfort and with love. And You remember there is only Love.

¹¹ Today we seek no idols. Peace can not be found in them. The peace of God is ours, and only this will we accept and want. Peace be to us today. Not just those words, but the joyous feeling. For we have found a simple, happy way to leave the world of ambiguity and to replace our shifting goals and solitary dreams with single purpose and companionship. For peace is union if it be of God, the One Source of peace. We seek no further. We are close to home and draw still nearer every time we say:

¹² There is no peace except the peace of God,
And I am glad and thankful it is so. And it becomes My glad experience.

LESSON ONE HUNDRED-NINETY-NINE

I am not a body. I am free.

This is true for You as well as for Me. Consciousness We are, and We can always change Our minds to make needed correction.

So if We feel trapped or stressed in any way, a change of mind alleviates it, if We are willing.

Willingness always is the key to change. (Even a little bit if that is all that You can muster. For a little bit of willingness can work a miracle. In fact, a little bit of willingness is a miracle!)

¹ Freedom must be impossible as long as you perceive a body as yourself. For bodies state that You are but a human. Therefore, You are not the Son of God. The body is a limit. Who would seek for freedom in a body looks for it where it can not be found. The body is, indeed, heavy baggage. The mind can be made free when it no longer sees itself as in a body, firmly tied to it and sheltered by its presence. Mind is not – cannot be – in anything! All things are in Mind! If this were the truth, the mind were vulnerable indeed! A little thing, it’s at the mercy of a body that ostensibly can die.

That is quite a giant misperception, yet it is the foundation of the dream.

² The mind that serves the Holy Spirit is unlimited forever, – Be-ing Infinite – in all ways, beyond the laws of time and space, unbound by any preconceptions, and with strength and power to do whatever it is asked. This mind is always free, never at the mercy of the ego (which is merciless). Attack thoughts cannot enter such a mind because it has been given to the Source of Love. It’s kind and gentle. And fear can never enter in a mind that has attached itself to Love. For Love is safety. It rests in God, and who can be afraid who lives in Innocence and only loves? Can You imagine?

³ It is essential for your progress in this course that you accept today’s idea and hold it very dear. For to be Consciousness instead of body is quite priceless, and very precious. Be not concerned that to the ego it is quite insane. In actuality the ego does personify deepest insanity! The ego holds the body dear because it dwells in it and lives united with the home that it has made. Forthe seeming body is the ego’s only claim to fame. It is a part of the illusion that has sheltered it from being found illusory itself. You know, bodies seem so very, very solid; yet Reality is Spirit!

⁴ Here does it hide, and here it can be seen as what it is. Body lies, for it insists it is You. Declare your innocence, and you are free. Free to be aware that You are Spirit. The body disappears because you have no need of it except the need the Holy Spirit sees. For this, the body will appear as useful form for what the mind must do. Show Love’s forgiveness to sleeping Brothers. It thus becomes a vehicle which helps forgiveness be extended to the all-inclusive goal that it must reach according to God’s plan. All must forgive and be here for giving.

That’s very simple. You see Awakening is not a complicated process.

⁵ Cherish today’s idea, – that You’re consciousness – and practice it today and every day. How free You can be, unhampered by a dense sense of body. Make it a part of every practice period you take. Even if You don’t quite understand it. There is no thought that will not gain thereby in power to help the world, and none which will not gain in added gifts to you as well. I speak here of a Life of freedom, unhampered by Your dense sense of Your body. We sound the call of freedom round the world with this idea. (Novel as it seems.) And would you be exempt from the acceptance of the gifts you give? That’s quite impossible, for to give it You must have it first. You’re gifted by Your willingness to give.

⁶ The Holy Spirit is the home of minds that seek for freedom. The Holy Spirit is true Consciousness. In Him they find what they have sought. Everlasting Love, happiness and peace. The body’s purpose now is unambiguous. And it becomes perfect in the ability to serve an undivided goal. In conflict-free and unequivocal response to mind with but the thought of freedom as its goal, the body serves, and serves its purpose well. Be-ing a visible and tangible example of Love to every Other. Without the power to enslave, it is a worthy servant of the freedom which the mind within the Holy Spirit seeks. Bringing the good news: i.e. the Gospel!

⁷ Be free today, and carry freedom as your gift to those who still believe they are enslaved within a body, when, actually, body can but exist in mind alone. Mind is All there is. Be you free, so that the Holy Spirit can make use of your escape from bondage to set free the many who perceive themselves as bound and helpless and afraid. Let love replace their fears through you. Allow Yourself to be their example! Accept salvation now, and give your mind to Him Who calls to you to make this gift to Him. For He would give you perfect freedom, perfect joy, and hope that finds its full accomplishment in God. And You will share this freedom, joy, and hope with all Your Brothers.

There is no better gift for these Brothers.

⁸ You are God’s Son. In immortality you live forever. Would you not return your mind to this? Someone now must understand and live this joyously, so that everyOne can see. Then practice well the thought the Holy Spirit gives you for today. Your brothers stand released with you in it; the world is blessed along with you; God’s Son will weep no more, and Heaven offers thanks for the increase of joy your practice brings even to it. And God Himself extends His Love and happiness each time you say:

⁹ I am not a body. I am free.
I hear the Voice that God has given me, – belovèd Guidance –
And it is only this my mind obeys. (With the greatest joy!)

Only my condemnation injures me.

In other words: only My thinking is the culprit. No matter what You think of Me, You can’t harm Me. But what I’m thinking of You can cause Me some major problems. That’s pretty scary. I’d best watch my thoughts!

¹ Injury is impossible. And yet illusion makes illusion. If you can condemn, you can be injured. Because it’s all going on in Your mind – i.e. Your experience – then what You believe can harm You. For you have believed that you can injure, and the right you have established for yourself can be now used against You – since You believe it! – till you lay it down as valueless, unwanted, and unreal. Then does illusion cease to have effects, and all it seemed to have will be undone. Then are you free, for freedom is your gift, and you can now receive the gift you gave. Imagine the results if You believe that You only can give Love! Wow! Then that’s all that can affect You. That’s powerful!

² Condemn and you are made a prisoner. Forgive and you are freed. So let another rave all They will. Do not respond, and You are free. (Yes, like Your experience with Bobbie! That’s why You were not bothered by her words.₁ Now You understand!) Such is the law that rules perception. In other words, this law applies to dreams, not Reality, which knows not of any condemnation. It is not a law that knowledge understands, for freedom is a part of knowledge. To condemn is thus impossible in truth. For Love is Truth and would not dream of condemning anyOne. What seems to be its influence and its effects have not occurred at all. But have been a dream; albeit You believed it, although it wasn’t ever true. Yet must we deal with them a while as if they had. (And that is: only if You believe them!) Illusion makes illusion. Except one. Forgiveness is illusion that is answer to the rest. For it negates them all, saying that You forgive for it never really happened.

³ Forgiveness sweeps all other dreams away, (not under the rug!) and though it is itself a dream, it breeds no others. For it does stop all that it does forgive. All illusions save this one must multiply a thousand fold. But this is where illusions end. With Your forgiveness. Forgiveness is the end of dreams because it is a dream of waking. It negates the dream, forgiving what never really happened. It is not itself the truth. Yet does it point to where the truth must be and gives direction with the certainty of God Himself. It leads You to a glad Awakening. It is a dream in which the Son of God awakens to his Self and to his Father, knowing They are one. And You will remember what this means and how it feels. Yes, like the time You somehow knew the loving Voice You heard speak was Yours. (The transcriber heard a loving Voice directing Her that She knew was somehow Hers. The experience was quite brief, but clear.)

⁴ Forgiveness is the only road that leads out of disaster, past all suffering, and finally away from death. How could there be another way, when this one is the plan of God Himself? And it’s so opposed to ego beliefs! And why would you oppose it, quarrel with it, seek to find a thousand ways in which it must be wrong, a thousand other possibilities? Because it does decimate the ego.

⁵ Is it not wiser to be glad you hold the answer to your problems in your hand? You’re not a victim! Is it not more intelligent to thank the One Who gives salvation, and accept His gift with gratitude? Instead of grumbling that You can’t forgive. They don’t deserve it! And is it not a kindness to yourself to hear His Voice and learn the simple lessons He would teach, instead of trying to dismiss His Words and substitute your own in place of His? Why not embrace them? For they will heal You.

⁶ His Words will work. His Words will save. His words are gorgeous! His Words contain all hope, all blessing and all joy that ever can be found upon this earth. His Words are born in God, and come to you with Heaven’s love upon them. Won’t You accept it! Those who hear His Words have heard the song of Heaven, – God’s Love Song given graciously to them – for these are the words which all will merge as one at last. And as this one will fade away, the Word of God will come to take its place, for it will be remembered then and loved. Does not an ancient memory make You long as You read this?

⁷ This world has many seeming separate haunts where mercy has no meaning and attack appears as justified. (Showing that this world is quite unreal if You understood this.) Yet all are one-a place where death is offered to God’s Son and to his Father. (Quite preposterous!) You may think They have accepted, but if you will look again upon the place where you beheld Their blood, you will perceive a miracle instead. It stands there awaiting Your acceptance.

⁸ How foolish to believe that They could die! How foolish to believe you can attack! How mad to think that you could be condemned and that the holy Son of God can die! How idiotic and insane the dream! The stillness of your Self remains unmoved, untouched by thoughts like these, and unaware of any condemnation which could need forgiveness. Needless to say, Self always is at peace and always present. Dreams of any kind are strange and alien to the truth. Yet what but Truth could have a Thought which builds a bridge to truth which brings illusions to the other side? Reality must always be triumphant over error! For It is Real, while error cannot be. That fact is the truth that leads You to Truth.

⁹ Today we practice letting freedom come to make its home with you. What a great promise! The truth bestows these words upon your mind that you may find the key to light and let the darkness end:

¹⁰ Only my condemnation injures me.
Only my own forgiveness sets me free. So I will not condemn; I will forgive!

¹¹ Do not forget today that there can be no form of suffering that fails to hide an unforgiving thought. This is really true! Nor can there be a form of pain forgiveness cannot heal. Then that’s obvious. So forgiveness then must be the only healer of disease. How interesting.

¹² Accept the one illusion which proclaims there is no condemnation in God’s Son, – illusion because it has seen error, and yet negates it – and Heaven is remembered instantly; the world forgotten, all its weird beliefs forgotten with it, as the face of Christ appears unveiled at last in this one dream. Through this experience You learn to see Your Brother holy. This is the gift the Holy Spirit holds for you from God your Father. Let today be celebrated both on earth and in your holy home as well. Be kind to both, as you forgive the trespasses you thought them guilty of, and see your innocence shining upon you from the face of Christ. First forgive Yourself, then All Your Others.

¹³ Now is there silence all around the world. Now is there stillness where before there was a frantic rush of thoughts that made no sense. It feels like Christmas Eve, as Christ is reborn today as You. Now is there tranquil light across the face of earth, made quiet in a dreamless sleep. And now the Word of God alone remains upon it. Only that can be perceived an instant longer. Then are symbols done and everything you ever thought you made completely vanished from the mind which God forever knows to be His only Son, and His only One.

¹⁴ There is no condemnation in him. He is perfect in his holiness. See how exquisite! He needs no thoughts of mercy. Who could give him gifts when everything is his? This is True for You. And who could dream of offering forgiveness to the Son of Sinlessness Itself, so like to Him Whose Son he is, that to behold the Son is to perceive no more and only know the Father? This, Your Purity! In this vision of the Son, so brief that not an instant stands between this single sight and timelessness itself, you see the vision of yourself and then you disappear forever into God. (Rather than the dream; for in God You find Your Self again; this time now, forever.)

¹⁵ Today we come still nearer to the end of everything that yet would stand between this vision and our sight of Reality. And we are glad that we have come this far and recognize that He Who brought us here will not forsake us now. Nor has He ever! For He would give to us the gift that God has given us through Him today. Now is the time of your deliverance. The time has come. The time has come today. You will accept it with the greatest joy!
