LESSON THREE HUNDRED FIFTY-FIVE

There is no end to all the peace and joy and all the miracles that I will give when I accept God’s word. Why not today? 

In other words, dear Father-Mother, why do I continue to delay, to put it off again for still another day?

Procrastination is a very foolish game to play, especially when it is done every day.

¹ Why should I wait, my Father, for the joy You promised me? Can doing “my own thing” today really be that appealing? Is the ego truly that convincing? “No!” must be the answer; thus I must be totally insane! For You will keep Your Word You gave Your Son in exile. You Love Me so much! Why do I ignore You and keep listening to the ego? I am sure my treasure waits for me, and I need but reach out my hand to find it. Even now my fingers touch it. It is very close. I know how sweet Life is when joined with You, belovèd Father! I need not wait an instant more to be at peace forever. I have had more than enough of discord! It is You I choose and my identity – My Reality! – along with You. Your Son would be Himself and know You as his Father and Creator and his Love. And I would choose You! Why don’t I do it?

Help Me give up being ‘son’ to ego!
