TRANSCRIBER’S NOTE: The Course text is in bold face.  The Guidance is in normal type   

In His Guidance, He has asked Me to capitalize the pronouns You and We as an acknowledgement of the Divinity of All of Us, an acknowledgement of Equality, an expression of His Love and respect for You.  

When You see the word ‘YOU’  capitalized in the Guidance, know that He is not just speaking to YOU, He is honoring YOU.   

I am God’s Son, complete and healed and whole, shining in the reflection of His Love.   

Two little words changed gives wonderful understanding of what is the Son of God You are and of Your relationship with the Father-Mother.

What words are this these make such a difference? Listen carefully.

I am God’s Son, complete and healed and whole, shining AS the PRESENCE of His Love.

In me is His creation sanctified and guaranteed eternal life. In me is love perfected, fear impossible, and joy established without opposite.  

If the ego’s ‘You’ had to do this on ‘Your own’, a daunting job is it indeed! Yet this is not a request but rather a statement of fact. And for One to resist it or deny it would simply be ego defense of false humility.

I am the holy home of God Himself.  

These statements are the Truth of You, the Son. The Son has no gender, for God has not made two types of Son, one so-called ‘male’ and the other ‘female’. These are ego inventions for the purposes of various subjugations. My accommodations are simply to clarify: One is not ‘better’ than Another.

The Truth is: We are All the Son. There is no ‘male’ nor ‘female’.

All of Us are, indeed, the very Presence of Our God, Belovèd Source of All.  

I am the Heaven where His Love resides.  

Once more, here We see that Heaven’s not a ‘place’ at all, but a state of Consciousness.

I am His holy sinlessness itself, for in my purity abides His own.

How could One ‘sin’ when God is All of Us? And yet We see sin everywhere We look. And this is not about a blind eye to it, but rather sin’s unreality; along with the unreality of the entire dream.

2 Our use for words is almost over now. Yet in the final days of this one year we gave to God together, you and I, we found a single purpose that we shared.

And it has been the joy of giving, a purpose that You will find eternally. It is the Truth of All Reality.

And thus you joined with me. So what I am are you as well. The truth of what we are is not for words to speak of nor describe.

Can words be used to describe the Natures Infinite of Love, or Life?  The understanding does come in the willingness to BE Them.

Yet we can realize our function here, and words can speak of this and teach it, too, if we exemplify the words in us.

To start with literally living Love is the key to Life that is only Living.  You are never born and never dying, and this is the Truth right here and right now.

3 We are the bringers of salvation. We accept our part as saviors of the world, which through our joint forgiveness is redeemed.

What is this word “salvation”?  What’s it mean?  Redemption of a sinner miserable and undeserving?  That’s not You!  That’s not any One of You! 

Salvation is but the expression of Life, Truth and Love, All lived and shared each moment, as Your very Be-ing ‘in the world’.

The world has need of Your Life, Truth and Love.  And it but waits on You to give Your Gifts.

And this, our gift, is therefore given us.

How else can Gifts as These, so wonderful, be experienced but in the Living of each one of Them?

Speak not of Love, but BE It.  Speak not of Life Eternal, just live It!  Don’t prattle about the Truth, Be Its Living Example!

We look on everyone as brothers and perceive all things as kindly and as good. We do not seek a function that is past the gates of Heaven.

Nice words these are indeed, yet, how do You live them?  You do know the answer: Today I will make no decisions by Myself.

Speak not Your words, but the Holy Spirit’s.  For when You let Her (or Him if You wish) hear and see for You, then will the words of Love come forth so very naturally.  Just as they now pour forth as Me to You.  The Holy Spirit that I am communicates through to Holy Spirit You are.  And We All are this One Holy Spirit.

Knowledge will return when we have done our part. We are concerned only with giving welcome to the truth.

Just Be that Living Love and watch Your consciousness unfold and flower as the gardens of Your kindness spring up all over.

4 Ours are the eyes through which Christ’s vision sees a world redeemed from every thought of sin.

Ask Me what is really there, hidden by the dream of sin.  Be still and listen.  I will gladly tell You!

Ours are the ears that hear the Voice of God proclaim the world as sinless. We hear His Mind Divine ever expressing to Us: Here is ever Good!

Ours the minds which join together as we bless the world. – All things of which God is Aware must be Holy.  God Knows Good only.

And from the oneness that we have attained we call to all our brothers, asking them to share our peace and consummate our joy. 

This consummation is the Weddedness Divine of All the Sonship and All the Universe as well.

5 We are the holy messengers of God who speak for Him, and carrying His Word to everyone whom He has sent to us, we learn that it is written on our hearts.  

Having really learned the Truth and thus becoming It as well, We joyously do share this Love with Every One!

And thus our minds are changed about the aim for which we came and which we seek to serve.

We are no longer here for getting, but for giving, and Our happiness has now become Our Be-ing.  For getting is insatiable and never satisfied, while giving Gifts but Joy.

We bring glad tidings to the Son of God, who thought he suffered. Now is he redeemed. And as he sees the gate of Heaven stand open before him, he will enter in and disappear into the Heart of God.

The discontent and suffering which had attended His existence for the eons of the dream have ended, and the Life which is Joy has again begun for Us.  Let Us with Our Joy share this great Heart Of God, this endless Love, until All Our Brothers have Awakened!

GUIDANCE ON LOVE

~*~
JESUS: I want to talk briefly on what happens when You deny Your love to everyone.  Now what I am meaning here is not that You aren’t loving anyone, but that You are not loving Every One. 

 

Why am I saying that?  You know I can hear Your thinking!  You’re wondering how anyone could Love Every One.  You know, all those unlovable people, peopling the earth.  Who could Love any of them, much less all of them?  Does the Course really say that?  Isn’t it about turning a special relationship into a Holy Relationship?

 

Well, let’s look at Love.  Love is what God is.  God doesn’t have Love.  God is Love.  God is Living Love, for Love is not a static thing, but ever-living, ever-growing, resting on and blessing the entire Universe. 

 

Take a moment here, to picture Your Love – Your eternal Gift from God – flowing from You like a easy, even breath, embracing gently all Ideas It meets.  They know not what It is that loosens all their cares, binds up their broken heart, lessens relentless fear.  They just know, inexplicably, that They feel much better.

 

Like the bird with broken wing of which I’ve spoken, that begins to sing again and finds its wing unbroken- like to that bird are those touched by Your gentle breath of Love, that feels so comforting to them as it feeds a hunger they didn’t know they had.

 

Would You not Love like this, so indiscriminately, so recklessly, so joyously!  And as You learn to do this for those unseen and unknown to You, then can You begin to practice with those closer to You. 

 

This is the Love that You really are.  The Love that You are to give Your Brother indiscriminately.  And in the measure that the Holy Spirit tells You that Your Brother needs it.  For The Holy Spirit is gladly Guiding You in this wonderful endeavor.

 

You have thought before that Love was give-and-take, one hand washing the other.  Something that would get You something.  That isn’t Love.  Love is Something that You give, Guided by My words: Freely You have received, freely give.  My words from 2000 years ago

 

And I do mean freely, with no strings attached.  Let loving become as natural and as easy to You as Your breathing.  And as Your Love grows, embracing All, just so, Your Joy grows.  And there is no limit to its breadth and depth and height, for Love brings You Infinity and happiness right where You are.

GUIDANCE ON AWAKENING

~*~

I’d like to talk on real rehabilitation, which is to Awaken.  Let’s start with these words from the Course:

“I must have decided wrongly because I am NOT at peace.

I made the decision myself, but I can also decide otherwise.

I WILL to decide otherwise because I WANT to be at peace.

I do NOT feel guilty because the Holy Spirit will undo all

the consequences of my wrong decision IF I WILL LET HIM.

I WILL to let Him by allowing Him to decide for God for Me.”

Let’s go back to the place where You made the decision.   Now this Course passage is referring to the second sleep, the one within the sleeping of the dream of separation.  However, the words are applicable to both and to the point I’m wanting to make to You:

“How you wake is the sign of how you have used sleep. To whom did You give it? Under which teacher did you place it? Whenever you wake dispiritedly, it was not of the Holy Spirit. Only when You awaken joyously have you utilized sleep according to the Holy Spirit’s purpose.”

So at the time of separation, Your Holy Mind – the one that is one with God – no longer cared to listen to Him, and that willfulness seem to create a whole new teacher, which We have called the ego.  It was a faulty choice, and that is where the correction must be made.

And yet, there is no need to look to the past.  For We may start from the realization that there is no time, so now is always when it happens.

You must learn to take the past and bring it to the Now, for only Now can it be healed.

So let us speak Now, for a moment, of ex-spouses. For Sun~Rose You saw it yesterday in looking for something through old papers, things that were written before You had Your healing seemed to catapult You back into long past aggravation.  A perfect example of what happens when You live in the past. You recreate a thing that never happened to begin with. And even if You do believe it happened, it’s not happening now; so just drop it!

And this is what You did yesterday, and it left You free until I mentioned it this morning. So You may see the supreme importance of dwelling in the Present.

How long will You let the Christ be hidden by these foolish ruminations about the past or future, those imaginary places are where the ego dwells? If You would be free You need to quit them. The Holy Spirit calls You gently saying: “Come be with Me Now My dearest Sisters and My dearest Brothers.  Let Us be the Place of Love for everyone where We may dwell happily forever.”

“Not so!” The ego thunders. “All the wrongs against me must be righted, for God is useless when it comes to wreaking vengeance even though He promised to within the Bible. So I, the ego, will take up the great crusade. And We will change the statement to: “Vengeance is mine! Saith the ego.”

Oh yes, the ego is a tricky fellow. Listen to it, and You won’t feel mellow (guess who Guided Ogden Nash?).

So once again We come to My favorite dictum……

“Would You be this?” How often must I say it?  For daily, moment by moment, do I but offer possibilities of the Holy Instant with the words You know so well:  Brother, choose again.  Sister, choose again, and this time choose God.  You know, God has already chosen You. And who will march in His crusade, if it isn’t You?

When all Your days are given to the ego’s business, how is this to be done?  Why, oh so simply, as You do whatever You are doing, Joined with Me as One.

For the moment that We Join now have You become as One with Holy Spirit, which is Your Right Mind as well as Mine; as You and I but do His bidding and Join with one another. And Us, together, We stand for unity and not for separation.

And in that stance – and in that willing stance – is open possibility for endless dreaming brothers. For minds are Joined, and so Your willingness radiates out to all the Universe.

And those already Joined rejoice at Your new connection – at Your new permanent connection – for sporadic does not get You in the Kingdom with the always frequency that’s needed.

You may think I’m asking way too much of You, and yet I’m not, unless You think that You could have too much of Heaven.

Trust Me sisters, trust Me brothers, Heaven is the one addiction that brings endless blessings. Could You be too happy?  Could You have too much Peace?  Could You but give and receive too much Love?  Not when You once again remember what Love and Peace and Happiness are like as the Consciousness of Heaven.

And realize that You have spent endless dreams searching for Heaven’s Peace and Happiness and Love. For never have the ego versions (of happiness and peace and love) given any lasting satisfaction.

For nothing lasts within the dream but its pretense to mimic Heaven as You pass from dream to dream, that one attempt is constant.

Why would You settle with a useless substitute for Reality, when Heaven stands available to You?  And not a heaven that You need to die to get to.  For the Father’s Gifts to You are but Life, Truth and Love.

The two of You can surely see the vast importance of Joining, for there is nothing else that is so crucial.  It is the one way to Awaken.  For how else could You forgive the endless ‘crimes’ of the ego but in understanding that they are unreal. There is nothing going on while You go Your way alone and solitary, deep in ego dreams.

Existence only functions as a Whole.  Not one thing that You think You’ve done alone has any meaning.  So all the words that hve been spoken, and all the words that have been written, in this endless dreaming, if they were spoke and writ alone they are but gibberish that has not any meaning.

One gentle word or gentle touch, flowing from Our Union, can heal the Universe.

Do You understand how total is the commitment that I am demanding?

Now You need to implement it.  And it is no task for You are not doing it alone.

Just reach out for Me and I will help You.

GUIDANCE ON LESSON 245

YOUR PEACE IS WITH ME, FATHER. I AM SAFE.

~*~

Your Peace is with Me, Father.  I am safe.

For where Your Peace is there must You be as well.  And I am coming to understand that What You are, I am, also, as well.  Like Father, like Son; so the saying goes.  In the dream this may vary, yet not so as Reality. The Father and the Son – God and Us All – are inseparable.

1 Your peace surrounds me, Father. Where I go, Your peace goes there with me. It sheds its light on everyone I meet. I bring it to the desolate and lonely and afraid.

The more I turn to You for every need I have, the more I find Myself to want and need only You.  That is Peace indeed.  Peace is then becoming What I am, and is, therefore, a Gift that I can give to All My Brothers and My Sisters, Who can then return It to Me as the joyous circle dance of giving as receiving.

As each and every One of Us is giving, so does the whole Universe receive and then return the Gift right back to All.  Sometimes the dance is like a polka or a hora, other times a stately waltz. The rhythms ever shift in joyous creativity, yet always in a glorious harmony.

Reality is not static, nor is it frenetic, for the Movement is lovely to both behold and experience.

I give Your peace to those who suffer pain or grieve for loss or think they are bereft of hope and happiness. Send Them to me, my Father. Let me bring Your peace with me. For I would save Your Son as is Your Will that I may come to recognize my Self.

While They may come in sorrow and despair, yet will They go on Their way with songs of Joy that You give Me to sing to Them to heal all Their pain, turn Their “mourning into dancing” once again.

For the Son of God is so like to the Father-Mother that it is simply a matter of degree.  The Father-Mother is the whole shebang; the
Son the individualized expression.  And All is Infinite, no break nor limit anywhere, the seamless garment of the Life that’s God.

2 And so we go in peace. To all the world we give the message that we have received. And thus we come to hear the Voice of God, Who speaks to us as we relate His Word, Whose Love we recognize because we share the Word that He has given unto us.

And what Joy accompanies that Peace that You are given, as It becomes Who and What You are.  Peace and Its Sister Love shine as You, and Your Brother and Your Sister see Themselves glowing as that Light as well.

The dream is over for Who would not accept the happiness of Waking as Eternal Light Itself.  Allow the Freedom of this Real Joy to be remembered as Love to Your Self re-introduces You.

Come dance with Me to the Song of Eternal Love so long forgotten, for now are You remembering. Let Us all recall now how very much We Love Each Other.

GUIDANCE ON THE HOLY SPIRIT

PREP NOTES FOR YOUR REUNION With THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is one of My favorite subjects, as It pertains to Who and What You really are.  This particular Guidance has to do with learning more than just feeling uplifted as You read it.  It is up to You to do the Joining and the Listening required.

I’d like to start out with a little song that the Holy Spirit and I suggested to Sun~Rose for any trying time.  It is sung to the tune of Gracious Spirit Dwell With Me, and it speaks the Truth of the Holy Spirit and All of You.

Holy Spirit dwell as Me.
I Myself am One as Thee.
And Your words that help and heal,
As Myself You do reveal.
This song may also be sung with ‘We’ or ‘She’ or ‘He’ or ‘Thee’, depending on Who is needing not just healing, but Whole-ing.  For the Holy Spirit is the Rest of You, without Whom You are incomplete.  As You all have searched for eons for the ‘perfect (special) relationship’, it has truly always been the Holy Spirit You were seeking.What a joy to relax and find that out so that if You have a special relationship (or many of them), now Each of You can concentrate on the Holy Spirit and actually open the door to a Holy relationship.  Not yet though!First You will learn the joy of re-acquaintance with the Holy Spirit, Your Self, a Self so lovely, so wonderful, so full of Life and Love and happiness, so gentle and so kind, that You will begin to understand what Love really is and that Love is what You are, Your very Substance, rather than the ‘material’ person You have thought Yourself to be.

Let’s go back to the song, for those four lines can change Your old mindset about Yourself if You will allow it.

“Holy Spirit dwell as Me”:  Well, what does this mean?  You aren’t asking here for the Holy Spirit to come into a material You – a human being – and be a part of You, thereby allowing You to continue holding on to Your so-called ‘human’ personality and opinions, et cetera, all the tools of the separation.

This is not asking the Holy Spirit to dwell in You.  It says: “Holy Spirit dwell as Me.”  This is a humble, sincere request for the Holy Spirit to actually Be You, without reserving room for the personality, the entire persona You have created to separate You from God and the Rest of Yourself: the Holy Spirit.

It is a request, an allowing for the Holy Spirit to Be You once again, the Real You, the You of God, rather than the little y you of the ego.

You will notice that I always address You as the capital Y You of God, acknowledging both Our equality and Your Divinity.

You have been hiding from Your Divinity so long that this may seem incomprehensible; yet Divine You are for You are of God.  And the entire separation has been about denying and hiding that fact.  The Holy Spirit is the Real of You, kept safe by God while You have played foolish, painful games for eons.

You have hidden from the peace and joy of Reality, fruitlessly looking for these things in empty, painful dreams.  The Holy Spirit has ever stood waiting for Your calls for help.

“Holy Spirit dwell as Me.”  ‘Holy Spirit I think I’m ready for You to take over, to Be Me.  I’ve done such a terrible job, and I’m so tired.

And I don’t want to ‘die’ and be ‘born’ again only to experience more pain.  So do You mind actually Be-ing Me, instead of something I make up, and so ineptly at that.’

That realization and then request is the first step.  For if You feel that You have some ‘life’ left in You yet, for being an ego, You will not give up control enough to remember to even consult the Holy Spirit regularly, much less moment by moment.

If You will trust Me here, as Your Elder Brother, I will promise You that never will You find happiness from the ego mindset, for it is pure selfishness.  And selfishness is misery for All of Us are One.  And until the mind is changed from ‘Me’ to ‘We’ selfishness continues.

Let Us go to the next line of the little song: “I Myself am One as Thee.”  Notice again that it does not say “One with Thee” alloiwing You to retain the so-called ego identity.  You are becoming willing, allowing Yourself to let the Holy Spirit Be You.  I cannot say this too often: the Holy Spirit is not a tool for You to use when You are in trouble, when You need help, when everything’s a mess.  Avoid the mess!

Let the Holy Spirit Be You all the time.

How do You do this?  Well, I would like to blithely say: just make the choice and do it.  And as Sun~Rose can tell You, the ego is more determined to keep control than You may have realized.  She has been using the Gymboss little sequential timer that goes off with a buzz, automatically, almost 200 times before needing resetting.  It is helping Her to remember to check in with Me and the Holy Spirit.  While this may sound unnecessary to You, the point is: Do what works!  And be committed.

And trust whatever You are hearing in these small minute-by-minute instructions from the Holy Spirit, for here is where You are making a real connection in uniting in the minutiae of Your daily experience.

Then, when a larger need arises, You will already be in practice and – most importantly – used to trusting what You’re hearing.

Let’s finish looking at the song: “And Your words that help and heal, As Myself You do reveal.”

As You are turning to the Holy Spirit asking what to say and do throughout Your day, You get the help and healing that You need.  And it is most important to realize that the Voice that You are hearing is You – the Real You – the You of God.  This is the whole aim of the Course: to bring You back into Your Right Mind.  And the Holy Spirit is Your Right Mind.

And the Love and Unity You feel brings such Peace and Happiness.

GUIDANCE ON ANXIETY AND PANIC

Please speak to us of Anxiety and Panic Attacks.

This is a wonderful topic.  I am delighted to speak to the healing of these two painful problems.

Let Us start by clearly stating that all forms of fear belong wholly to the dream.  They have no place at all as Reality.

When You All chose so long ago to stay within the dream, fear sprung up immediately because You had turned Your backs on Love.  They cannot coexist.  Thus fear became the hallmark of the dream.

Dimly remembering that Love has no fear at all, special relationships became Your goal, in the hopes of alleviating fear.  Obviously that didn’t work, and fear continued to grow, springing from loveless ground.

Once psychiatry was invented, fear garnered many names and diagnoses, yet fear they are and fear they do remain.

Yet two constants all names and types of fear do have.  They exist solely in the dream.  At Home where All is Love, there is no concept for fear at all except in the memory of the rage and fear of the separated Ones.

So whether fear is named as schizophrenia or autism, bi-polar or anxiety, claustrophobia or panic attacks, it hardly matters the name, for all are the direct result of trying to exist within the dream, alone, apart from God and from Yourself, the Holy Spirit.

Very simply, anxiety is fear that cannot be contained and so becomes a constant companion.  The cure is simple indeed, needing determined persistence.  Turn immediately to the Holy Spirit (or Your Guide), asking the Holy Spirit to take over and to tell you what is really True.  Done consistently – realizing that the Holy Spirit is Your Right Mind – anxiety will find no-where to go.   Consistence is the key word.

Two things cannot really dwell in one place for one alone is Real.  And the healing is two-fold, for as You let the Holy Spirit Be You not only has anxiety flown, but You are now coming back into Your Right Mind.

Maybe You would like Me to tell You how to manage fear successfully within the dream, eschewing the radical step of Awakening.  I will do that, yet rarely will it last; the self-centeredness of the dream makes it hard to live as Love.

Panic attacks are stuffed-down anxiety that manages to pop up with a vengeance.  Is not the cure the same?   A mind that lives as Love, focused well on God, finds aught to fear.  If You can stay as that Love, You find Yourself so full with Happiness.

Dear beloved Brothers and dear beloved Sisters, all My words of Love for You have but one focus: Your glad return to Home.  Why stay frightened, all alone, and in pain when Love and Peace and Joy await You?  Loneliness is gone forever in the sweet embrace of a Family that has longed for Your glad return.

And how about Life that’s problem-free; Infinitely interesting living Life as We instead of ‘Me’.  Such dear companions, and each relationship is Holy.

And perhaps You have forgotten just how much fun it is, teleporting through the Universe, and with no fear of falling!  How light and beautiful it feels to Spirit Be.

GUIDANCE ON EASTER and the RESURRECTION

LESSON 69

It has been said that every Sunday is a little Easter.  And I am going to bring Easter much more present than that statement.  The Truth is that every instant is a potential Holy Instant – or full-blown Easter.

Your Resurrection or Awakening is present with You – as You – at this very moment, quietly, expectantly, waiting for Your willingness.  That’s very simple, isn’t it?  Sounds too simple.  I must be Someone special since You don’t know of another example of Resurrection, although You may have heard there are Others, living off in the Himalayan mountains, but They’re special too.

Well what have I said to You when discussing the Miracle Principles?  Every One of You is special, priceless and precious to God.  And I will again quote Saint Augustine: God loves Each One of Us as if there were only One of Us.  That makes You – All of You – the “only begotten Son”, just as I am.

And so, how is it that Your Resurrection/Awakening is right now present, not just with You, but as You? … … It’s the Holy Spirit!  It’s Your True Mind.  Today We are working with Lesson 69, although I could excerpt from any of the Lessons, We will use where We are today.

You have, for the most part, heretofore, thought of Resurrection as something happening to the body.  Well it is not.  It is a transformation of the mind, from little m mind to capital M Mind; from the ego state of thought to the Holy Spirit’s Knowing.

Think of your mind – and the mind We are looking to reach is the Mind You know – or have heard of and which is now being described – as a vast round area, – as the Holy Spirit, hidden from view, – surrounded by – where You are abiding now, which is almost always the limited ego sense of mind, that here in this lesson, is being visually described as – a layer of heavy dark clouds. You can see only the clouds because you seem to be standing outside the whole area, and quite apart from it.  So seems the Holy Spirit to You, as not a part of You but something separate, mystical and magical, and far more than You could ever be.

And so – From where you stand, you can see no reason to believe there is a brilliant light hidden by the clouds. The clouds seem to be the only reality. Just as ego thinking seems to be Your only mind.  They seem to be all there is to see. And so You do not realize how much there is to You and how very marvelous You are.  Therefore you do not attempt to go through them and past them, which is the only way in which you would be really convinced of their lack of substance.  – for cloudy doubtful thoughts are so often what and how You think You are. So You need encouragement, and this is what I give You now. We will make this attempt today.  This effort will not be half-hearted but joyous and enthusiastic!

This is how I approached My Resurrection: with great joy and enthusiasm.  The certainty of God as all Reality – and therefore, My Consciousness – shone as blazing Light, keeping Me from slipping into the human dream of anger, fear, and crucifixion, all clamoring for My attention.  I lived – and still do – the glorious words to God from Isaiah 26:3: “Thou wilt keep Him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on Thee.”

And He is keeping You in perfect peace too, as You stay Your mind on Him.

This is Your Resurrection and Your Awakening.  Your Easter Joy.

Where, You may be thinking of Yourself, is My crucifixion?  There is no crucifixion for You.  Only the ego sense feels crucified because it has been crucifying You for eons.  Is it not time to accept Your freedom?

As the moon retires in the light of the sun, let Us together retire crucifixion in Light of Resurrection.  The true retirement of crucifixion is the Awakening which brings the disappearance of the ego.  And the ego sense is all that will disappear in the Resurrection of Awakening.  Where You thought a painful and a troubled world abided so clearly will it be seen that the Kingdom of Heaven has been here all along.

Feel My Love for All of You, as I rejoice in Your Resurrection.  For what is Resurrection but Your dwelling once again as Your rightful place: the Holy Spirit and You as a joyous One, the Belovèd Son of God You are, and have always been, despite the endless, troubled dreams that hid Yourself from You.  Our Father waits with joyous expectation for Your glad return.

All that’s asked is that little willingness for miracles abound, and Your glad Homecoming encourages all the sleeping Sons of God to waken and make the journey with You, the journey without distance, as Heaven waits for You right here and now.

You have long confused Heaven with the dream of dying.  This could not be farther from the Truth.  Heaven is the true experience of Life Awake instead of life asleep.  For the two experiences are both at hand, right where You are.  You have chosen dreaming for so long, there hadn’t seemed to be another choice.  And so I’m here to offer You a far, far better sense of Life than dreaming endless, fitful dreams that You perceive as lifetimes.

How real is Your sleeping dream?  The waking one is no more true.  Your Resurrection, just like Mine, is from the unreal to the Real.  Nowhere to actually go, it’s just a simple change of Mind from Me to We.  From separation and loneliness to inclusion and a Love and safety long forgotten.  And yet this Love has not forgotten You.  You will not lose Your loved Ones for They will come along with You, inspired by Your Joy.

How does this journey begin?  The same way that it ends: You Joining with the Holy Spirit, and He is What You really are.  All fear is gone forever, melted by the Love of God, exemplified as He and now as You.  You had forgotten Who You are: joyous Son and Daughter of the King.

Welcome Home.

Guidance on Lesson 80
Let me recognize my problems have been solved.

Thinking is the problem.  We have this thought and We think it’s from ‘out there’ (i.e. not in Our mind, or as Our mind, as consciousness) and therefore, We accept it as being real, when it is only a figment of Our imagination, including everything that’s happened in Japan.  And so the thinking makes it real: i.e. there is nothing good or bad but THINKING MAKES IT. So?  What shall We choose?  Our thinking, or the Reality of God which has only Good for All of Us?

As the realm of ‘good or bad’ the dream, THINKING is Creator rather than Real God.  And so THINKING becomes Our God, and We listen to it implicitly, trusting all Our thoughts with the trust that should, instead, be given to the Holy Spirit Who waits patiently to free Us from the prison of Our own making.

How is this prison built but by thought on top of thought, added to more thought, until Reality is totally obscured.  This is separation, and it’s all there is to it.  There is no drama along with it, nor to the undoing.  You do not to have to take each thought that built the dream as if it were a wall of bricks, taken down, one by one.  No, simply be willing to disregard Your thinking, starting now.  Keep Your mind open to Me and the prison house You’ve built will be dismantled as You remain steadfast against the thinking, which shows up as fears, desires, and opinions, none of which are worth Your time or Your attention.

Getting out of the house – from Your dream – is accomplished by the end of thinking.

Fear not that You will be a zombie!  Far from it.  Your mind, once emptied of its trash, will then be like an unblocked pipe through which the Truth – Reality – may flow freely, joyous, and eternally.

 THE FORGOTTEN SONG

Listen, and try to think if you remember what we will speak of now.  Listen.  Let Us go together, beyond trying.  Let Us, together, slow down the ego mind in its frantic efforts to secure its safety – and remember, its safety is not Yours.  Yours is your Love, the experience spoken of here, that is so beautiful and so very far beyond the ego’s ken of selfishness as saviour.

Allow the stillness to flow through Your mind; and Your mind it is, despite the eons of ego domination, Your dominion remains, waiting to be exercised. … … …

If You have yet to realize this, let Us take some moments – truly some Holy Instants – to think of it now together.  What am I asking You to remember but an eternal state of Freedom that has always been Yours, and always will be.  And yet this Freedom is not found in doing as You please, exercising Your ‘rights’ and trampling Others.  Nothing could be further from the Truth than that.  Yet that is how the ego operates: its only goal is me, me, me.  Those are the lyrics and the metre of its song.

That selfishness is not the song We’re listening for.

So, again, I ask You: Clear Your mind of the incessant ego wants and fears, its ceaseless demanding of its dominance.  Just lay them gently to the side.  It will be easy enough to pick them up again, if You so desire.  And always it is My intention to free You from Your self-imposed imprisonment.

And now, together, You and I, We will: Listen, not so much for words at first, but rather for a feeling, a sense that all is Peace, a Peace that passes all the understanding of the dream in which You are busily immersed.  And as You listen for that Peace — perhaps you catch a hint of an ancient state not quite forgotten; not so much forgotten, but ignored and, therefore,  so unused that You had completely forgotten Its existence.  It is dim, perhaps, and yet not altogether unfamiliar, – since Its Harmony is the nature of Your Be-ing, and yet It is – like a song whose name is long forgotten, and the circumstances in which you heard completely unremembered.  And why is this?

You had to hide It from Yourself or the dream could never have been invented.  And now, and always, is the moment to think of It again.  So together We are remembering It and speaking of Its Beauty and Its Happiness with Joy.

Not the whole song has stayed with you, – or You would be long ago Awake – there is but just a little wisp of melody, – like the fragrance of a rose inhaled long ago.  It is attached not to a person or a place or anything particular. But It is enough to make You pause and smile as you remember, from just this little part, just this precious suggestion of its notes, how lovely was the song – Its Beauty so breathtaking that the Joy is breaking through Your long shut heart – and although You cannot quite see it yet, the Place of Mind, of Love, where it exists, that You can now faintly feel, brings to consciousness how wonderful the setting where you heard it, and how you loved those who were there and listened with you.  It is the Love You’re feeling now, calling to You to recognize Its Presence here and now.

As I’ve said before to You: Somewhere You remember Who and What You Are, although the ego has imprisoned this joyous memory behind so many lifetimes of purposeless self will, meaningless getting, with giving short-shifted. 

And so, this little remainder, which has shown itself in a longing to Love and be Loved like that again, has been all You had left of Something so dear You would weep if You let Yourself realize just What a Treasure You have hidden from Yourself.

And thanks to a shred of Your Sanity, (the Whole of which is kept safe and intact by the Love of the Holy Spirit, Your True Self), and although it seems that The notes are nothing by themselves for You know not how to bring the Song to mind, they are important to You. Yet you have kept them with you, not for themselves, but as a soft reminder of what would make you weep if you remembered how dear it was to you.  And weep You do, silently and tearlessly, for the happiness and Love that You so carelessly cast away.  The weeping does not come in tears, but shows itself as sickness, sin and death, the concomitants of the seeming endless dreams in which You insistently cling to as if they were Reality Itself.  You know they’re not.  Somewhere within You know that You are really Life and Love and Good.

And that is what You are that is so dear to You, and so it never can be lost.  It is Your Oneness known as God, Our Source, which – far above all else – is known as Love.  It is the experience of Be-ing Love Itself, a You so beautiful and cherished and essential to All Creation that It is beyond description and only can be known when felt as Consciousness.  Once You allow Yourself to feel It in the dream, Awakening becomes necessity.

You could remember, yet you are afraid, believing you would lose the world you learned since then. The world You taught Yourself, for never did Our Father-Mother Source of Love bring forth a world so loveless, dark and painful for so many.  God’s Universe is bright with Love expressed as His Ideas of Light of which You are the most important One, along with every other One. 

We All are precious to the Love that makes Us.  And each One of Us is precious to All of Us.  Do You remember what it’s like to be loved like that?  Somewhere You do.  And so You struggle to somehow feel that Love within the dream world You have made.  And yet you know that nothing in the world you learned is half so dear as this. 

And so You age, You sicken, and You die – You the Eternal, perfect Son of God – consumed by buried disappointment that nothing turned out the way You thought it would when it seemed like such a clever idea to turn Your back on God to go it on Your own.  And now the path that leads back Home is long grown over, and the ego gives its assurance that never would the Father take You back after such a big transgression. 

And none of it is True, not one word, for the Father’s Name and Nature both are Love.  And what is True of Him is also True of You.

So come and stay close by Me, take My hand; and as We walk Together through Your day:  Listen, – and what is Listening to Me but the silencing of incessant thinking, the quieting of the ego’s chattering voice so You can better hear the beauty of the music and the words of Love.  Again, let Us together Listen and see if you remember an ancient song you knew so long ago, and held more dear than any melody you taught yourself to cherish since.

Beyond the body, beyond the sun and stars, past everything you see and yet somehow familiar, is an arc of golden light that stretches as you look into a great and shining circle.  All of this Happiness stands waiting joyously for Your return.  And ‘re-turn’ it literally is.  You’d turned Your back on Love and Life, oh so long ago.  And now Your willingness to turn again and face Heaven instead of hell brings Us All great joy.

And all the circle fills with light before your eyes. What is this Light with which the circle fills but the Fullness of Reality.  Infinite Ideas of God, All of Us exquisite Light, gentle Love, vibrant Life.  Ideas come streaming from everywhere to witness and support Your glad re-turn. 

Can You see how very simple it is?  The shifting of direction from ‘Me’ to ‘We’ – all the loving Ideas that You had shut out when choosing for the ego dream.  We’ve longed for All of You Who dream to remember All the Rest of You again. 

And now the importance of forgiveness comes front and center, for when Your Brother or Your Sister is forgiven for what They didn’t do, so do You see forgiveness radiate to You. 

The edges of the circle disappear, and what is in it is no longer contained at all. The light expands and covers everything, extending to infinity forever shining, and with no break or limit anywhere.  You understand that never did You sin, only Good is True. 

Within it everything is joined in perfect continuity. Nor is it possible to imagine that anything could be outside, for there is nowhere that this light is not. …  Not only are You loved beyond all present understanding, but also You are intrinsic to that Love, which needs You to be complete.

 

And now the blind can see, – opened are Your eyes – for that same song they (You) sing in honor of their Creator gives praise to them as well. Opened You are as the words and the feelings of Love spill forth, breathing, remembering Joy once again.  Vision has cleared and the Beauty of You opens your eyes even wider.  The blindness which they (You) made will not withstand the memory of this song. And they (You) will look upon the vision of the Son of God, remembering who he is – and Who You are – that You and they sing of.  And You are that Love.  You had forgotten what it felt like, to Be Love; that it isn’t something lost that must be somehow found, You knew not where and searched for It in the most unlikely places. And now You know that It is What You Are.

What is a miracle but this remembering? And who is there in whom this memory lies not? And with the memory comes the realization, illumining Your mind: I am that Love that I was looking for everywhere but here. 

The light in one – the Love You Are – awakens it in all. You see It everywhere.  And when you see it in each other, you ARE remembering for everyone.  Reach out and take Your Brother’s hand, and as You do, the Father reaches out, embracing You.

Guidance on Love & Relationship

Reja wondered if You would speak of Love [and Relationship] for the Newsletter.

I am always speaking to Love, although My words may seem to address many, many other topics.  Love is the Father’s Name because It is His Nature.  Therefore, It is the Nature of all Reality, and of All of the Family of God, whether Awake or dreaming.  We Who are Awake are the Presence of Love with ease.  And You can feel It from Me.

Love is what enabled Me to stand and heal, hour after hour, the Multitudes Who came to Me.  And I speak not only of My healing work.  It is because each One of You is the very Presence of Love, that the ills and so-called sins can be healed.  Where You see Yourselves as little, sickly and sinful ‘mortals’, I see You in all your radiant Beauty!  And radiantly beautiful You are, if You could but see Yourselves.  Paraphrasing Robert Burns: Oh the power that giftie gie You, to see Yourselves as I see You.

It is not just that You are the Presence of Light.  It is the Love that each One of You uniquely expresses with such Grace and Beauty.

Why do You not see it and experience Yourselves and Each Other that way?  Ah, such a good question.  Because the expression of Love has become quite secondary to the demands of the ego mindset.  It has been replaced by the desire for control, which takes many forms: the lust for money, things, sex, power, et cetera; the accumulation of what You think will give You the most control over Others and your world.  It isn’t pretty.

And it comes down to My favorite theme song, which is the thrust of all the Lessons, although You may not have realized it.  Those Awake exist to Give.  Those asleep exist to get.  And so, when You read My words: “Nothing I see means anything.” – the reason it means nothing is because You see it only for what it can or cannot do for You.  And, as in today’s Lesson: “Above all, I am determined to see differently!” You are really asking to see your real relationship with the object of your vision.  And You are becoming willing to have a different relationship with Who or What You are viewing, for truly All is Holy.

And in that willingness, You are opening your hearts and minds to see as I see, which means to begin to Love as I Love.  If You but knew what You were missing, You would spend your days asking for this Vision, for it is glorious.  The happiness of this Love that is the Father-Mother’s is priceless and beyond compare.  Its sweetness and Its joy is what You are looking for in every encounter You have with Every One and everything. 

It is the joy that comes from knowing that You are dearly and eternally Loved and that all is always well.

For Those of You Who are working with the Lessons, this year, let them be for learning Love.  Every one of them holds the promise of this Gift, which is what I came to give You.  And I will be with You until You learn It, for We are as Teacher and as Pupil.  And as You learn It, You learn that We are truly One, and equal, and that My direction has already given – and will forever – giveYou Peace.

Now there has been a request for Me to bring this to the practical, the nitty-gritty of your daily experience.  You know that your relationship with Me is Holy, safe, and secure forever.  What about those other relationships, the ones with Partners, Children, Parents, Bosses, Co-Workers, taxi Drivers, retail Workers, your fellow Dreamers?  Let’s go to today’s Lesson.  It is perfect.

God is in everything I see.  God is in everything I see.  And not just every Thing, but every One.  This is the key to both happy and Holy relationships: that All is/are entitled to your Love and your respect because God is Its/Their Source.  You have been, for so long, the center of the universe of your small, and quite confused mind, that it is hard to give this respect anywhere else, and yet it is absolutely crucial unless You wish to dwell in the realm of trying special relationships indefinitely.  Perhaps You have, by now, had enough of them? 

Now the ego will tell You that this is the only framework there is for relationships.  And You have believed it for what seems like eternity.  I am opening the door for You to an experience of Love – right here and now – that is vastly different.  And for It You only need to change your thought.

Try then today to begin to learn how to look on all things with love, appreciation, and open-mindedness.  There is that Partner, Child, Parent, Boss, Who is being so difficult.  How do You Love Them?  How do You appreciate such thoughtless, bad behavior?  The secret is no secret: You open your mind to Me and to the Holy Spirit.  And You ask for help.  Brother, Holy Spirit, show Me how You see this One.  Teach Me of Your Love.  How can You be so patient, tender, kind?  How can I be so patient, tender, kind as You? 

Allow Me to be your mind, your vision.  This makes no less of You, for I simply open wide the door to the Holy Spirit which is really You.  Together We shift the focus from the One Who is so difficult and ask within how We may best Love this One.  What can We say to heal Their discontent?  How can We see beyond this to the Christ They are?  And the Christ They are indeed, although: You do not see them now.   The eyes of the world are blind, and so: Would you know what is in them? Nothing is as it appears to you.  If You can but accept this, and ask humbly for Our help, the healing of your mind will happily begin. 

The desire among Course Students is to have a Holy relationship instead of a special one.  As I said this morning, the only way to have a Holy relationship is to change your reason for being here; in other words, to be born anew.  When I said those words to Nicodemus 2000 years ago- indeed, when I say “2000 years ago”, it is like You saying “yesterday”- When I told Nicodemus that He needed to be “born anew of water and of Spirit”, I was reminding Him of the words in Isaiah: “Wash You; make You clean.”  And, of course, I was referring to a renewing of the mind.  As Paul says in Philippians, to have the Mind that I am.

Every One caught in the dream is dreaming to please Themselves.  That is being for getting, not giving.  And that is a special relationship.  Where is the Holiness in selfishness?  And I am not condemning You; I am instead suggesting a shift of being. 

You can easily see that One is in a relationship to get something, whether obvious or not.  Without delving far into human psychology, an example of this is One Who feels Themselves to be a victim or an aggressor, and has a relationship that validates this feeling.  The satisfaction comes in the validation of the belief; however, the relationship certainly suffers.

And yet – at any moment – there could be that amazing change of mind back to Love, the game can cease, and Something entirely new and beautiful will spring up.

Its – whether that of You, your Partner, a table, an apple – holy purpose stands beyond your little range.  Beyond your narrow view, yet right at hand.  And It’s ever available to You.  The glorious Holiness of the Son of God.

When vision has shown you the holiness that lights up the world, you will understand today’s idea perfectly.  And this Vision will light up All You see, and the Beauty of Those Who have troubled You so – as well as your Beauty to Them – will fill You with a Love so rich, that You will only want to give and give and give.  And you will not understand how you could ever have found it difficult.  Your Brother’s and your Sister’s Holiness will be so clear and fill You with such joy. 

And only this very small thing is asked of You, and that is to consult with Me.  Together We will rebuild every relationship from the great giving Heart of Love.

Blessed Resolution

Today I Will Make No Decisions By Myself’

TRANSCRIBER’S NOTE:

Last night, when Our dear Brother asked Reja to layout and send the page of Guidance, I wondered why.

As it arrives, it is clear.  The glorious sun lighting Our way above and regardless of the clouds of the dream, are the gift of giving. We give Jesus Our gift of the Holy Instant as We give Our sincere – even if still not quite perfect – willingness of:

Today I will make no decisions by Myself. 

Although We may ‘forget’ at first, as We willingly work to give Him this Gift, He returns It to Us. Each Perfect Moment of Holy Instants following another, as We steadily find a Peace and Joy with Him. This is, indeed, not just “the Peace of God that passes all understanding” (Philippians 4:7), but Happiness too.  This is a living Joy that permeates Our lives blessing All!

What We give to Him is returned to Us “seventy times seven”!

In His Bible words from Matthew 18, We see the blessing of sharing with Him Our decisions to be made:

“And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them … Whosoever therefore shall humble yourself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”

As We ask for His help, which is reward enough, We’re freely given Heaven!

A Blessed New Year’s Resolution

You are asking if I might say something specific for the New Year, and so I will.

The New Year is always fragrant with promise of a new beginning, renewal; this is the year in which everything can change.  And this is true.  This is the year in which You and Your world may be transformed.  Yet You need not wait a moment more to see Yourself and world anew.  And even if it doesn’t happen, hasn’t happened yet, there is no magic about the beginning of a year that isn’t always present for Your transformation.  It’s just that little shift, the little willingness I ask of You each and every moment of the year.  When You give Me that no miracle will be left undone.  This is all I ask for: the little willingness that then unfolds so naturally into making no decisions by Yourself. 

The ego mindset finds so very many reasons to eschew My participation: “It’s not that important.”  “I don’t need Guidance for this.”  “What if I don’t like what He says?” And yet, is what You choose on Your own that important?  The very fact of the aloneness of the decision negates all value that it seems to have.  And when We choose together every decision is right.

So if there is a New Year’s resolution to be made, then it is this: Today I will make no decisions by Myself.

Guidance ~ Today I will make no decisions by Myself.

Today, I will make all decisions by My True Self, the Holy Spirit.  We could stop there for this is the only goal, the reuniting of the mind with God, the only Self there is, the You as all your perfection and beauty; You as God, Our Father knows You, as He knows Me. (as so does He know Me.)

When You accept this lesson: Today I will make no decisions by Myself, then do You accept the You that is belovèd to God as I am.  And so He speaks to You to say: “This is My belovèd Son in whom I am well-pleased.”  For this is how He knows You dearest one.  The ego is not – and never has been – His view of You.

And so, when You return – and that is literal, for You have turned away from Him – and now will You re-turn again to find the waiting arms of Love embracing You and freedom from the slavery in which the ego sense has held You bound so long.

And all of this comes through these simple words: Today I will make no decisions by Myself.  I will allow My Source to show Me what I truly am, for I have been away so long and I am tired of this journey going nowhere.  Why would I have traded all holy things and every joy of God for this sad and sorry state? 

I thought it would be fun to separate, and instead it’s been nothing but loneliness for Home, which I have tried to hide through relationships that are not based in Love that includes My Father first and foremost.

Instead I’ve made a god of other separated Sons and things We’ve made in Our own sorry likeness, hiding Them from Us as well, for We are in this together.

When You separated, You thought that You could be God upon your own and make decisions on each and every one and thing. And it wasn’t true, isn’t true, and never will be so.  For how could that be, since every One and every Thing is eternally and beautifully connected as essential parts of one stupendous, glorious Whole.

It is as if the flutist decided He would be conductor, and so He drops His flute and starts to wave His hands about in an attempt to control the orchestra.  And another seeing Him cavort decides to try it too. Then others are distracted, and soon there is a sea of hands waving aimlessly!

Yet Those Who have kept focused only on the Conductor continue on with His most exquisite music.  Their fullness and Their happiness is completely unimpaired by the strange behavior of Their Brothers and Their Sisters.  For the Conductor’s movement is Their only priority.

And so it is within the dream, when going it on your own, You have forgotten the essential part You play as the glorious Wholeness of God.  You sing and dance to your own song, glad when your dreaming partners shower some applause on You, thus dignifying Your sorry state.

Would it not be so much more satisfying to stop your silly dreams of being the conductor and pick up your long neglected flute, turn your eyes from the dream and focus back on Him.  You will soon begin to play as if You’d never stopped. 

And your Brothers and your Sisters, Who dreamt that They too were conductor, will see your happiness and peace regained for You and soon will follow suit.  And the Orchestra is Whole again, acknowledging Its Conductor as not just the Director but the Source of all the music here and now, forever.

Peace and Happiness are the norm again.

My belovèd Child, You feel My Love for You when You follow the Shepherd’s Voice guiding You safely Home. 

This Love is ever with You, and now You feel Its comfort once again.  You are safe and so loved.

Coming Home for Christmas

Jesus Speaks on the ‘Process of Awakening’

TRANSCRIBER: A long-time Course student had said to me (the transcriber) that Awakening was a process of retracing all Your steps away from Home, and His Voice said “No!”

And I will let Him speak from here:

You know how the ego loves ‘becoming’ instead of Be-ing.  This idea of a ‘process’ may exist if a sleeping Brother or a Sister is not burning to Awaken, as it allows the individual to take His or Her leisurely time (there’s that word ‘time’ again!) — Their own sweet time, as the saying goes, about Awakening.  When the Course was first given, the fraction of interest in Awakening was very small.  It has not grown so large since then. 

  Time was invented to give credibility to the idea of separation, to the belief that something actually happened, something measured by the novel ideas of ‘before’ and ‘after’.  What place do these ideas have in Now, as Now?  Absolutely none.  Do not accord them any for they deserve it not.

 

Time is the most insidious of the Dreamers’ definitions.  It shapes everything for You Who insist upon relentless dreams.  ‘Before’ and ‘after’ rob You of the Here and Now. 

 

What You have called Your ‘Kingdom of Heaven experiences’ have very simply been Your willingness to listen to My Voice – against Your dreaming will – which brings Here and Now front and center.  The Joy of listening is that You stay there, instead of it becoming a fond memory.  You just got that: that once it is a memory, Your mind has slid back into time.

 

Once again, here is the importance of constant listening.  Being Present (Here and Now) with Me is indeed a Present (Gift).

 

There are no accidents in Your languages.  The Truth could never disappear.  You can only hide It from Yourself, and now We are uncovering It to bless You All.  And what a Joy It is for Those of Us Who are Awakened.

 

Now let Us proceed to Your initial question: Is there a process to Awakening? Only if You wish to make one to make Your wait still a little longer, as if eons have not been enough.

 

Is there some point to dreaming, that I would have You dream an instant longer?  God has not ordained one; it does not exist.

 

Time is a foolish thing, though You may dwell there if You wish.  I do not recommend it as a pleasant place to be, much preferring to have You Here and Now with Me

 

And yes, the Father is a ‘jealous God’ not wishing You to lose a moment longer of Your Joy, His Joy, by dwelling in the dream of neither Here nor Now.  And yet, because You are His Son, He cannot pluck You out of time, and why is this?  Because You’re not a body, a thing to move around, only You can shift Your consciousness, that act that moves You instantly from Here and Now to time and back when You so choose. 

 

And so I have answered your question as to whether some ‘process’ is necessary.  Do You need a process to change your mind?  Do You need a process to arrive at just a “little willingness”?  No, You don’t. 

 

All You need is a heart full of Love for God, for Me; as I said 2000 years ago, and My forefathers another 2000-plus years before that, You need to “Love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, and soul, and might, and mind.”  And adding My addition: “And your neighbor as yourself.”  That’s your way Home, all accomplished as Consciousness.

 

And it’s the beautiful Christmas Gift the Father-Mother, the Holy Spirit, and I, cherish.

 

We miss You so and wish You Home, Wakened Christ again.  This is the deep appeal of Christmas, coming Home again.  It’s been a long, cold loveless journey You’ve embarked upon; it can be over in an instant.  You’re standing at the door.  Surrendering autonomy, the key.

 

So why not choose it now for Heaven longs for Your glad return.  You turned Your back on God and Home and All the Rest of Us, and We would have You Home again, and in, and as, Your rightful place.

  

Although the ego tries to tell You this means loss of freedom, it does not.  Think for a moment what real Freedom You could feel, not just by knowing but also feeling You are loved by All Creation.  Feel the embrace, and feel the Love.  You dwell as perfect safety.  Fear is gone forever, in its place the happiness of priceless acceptation.  This certainty that all is well now, and will forever be.  This is True Freedom.  Come.  Step in the door. … …

 

I Love each and every One of You, right now and for always.

Chapter 16

THE FORGIVENESS OF ILLUSIONS
VII. The Bridge to the the Real World


You are curious as to why I chose this passage.  It is to help break through the habit of seeing yourself as simply human, not knowing how to access your Divinity and to stay there.  You have been feeling this with some frustration lately, the habitual slip back into the ordinary mindset.  Stop feeling that You won’t be able to hear!  I have no problem speaking. (said with a laughing smile).

Let’s look at the passage:

 For God created love as He would have it be, and gave it as it IS. Love has no meaning except as its Creator defined it by His Will. It is impossible to define it otherwise and UNDERSTAND it.  And how else can it be defined but understanding the nature of All of Us as One grand Whole, Love be-ing What We ARE.

Love is FREEDOM. “Freely ye have received, freely give.”  This is My theme song, now and, as well, 2000 years ago.  It is the rule of Love.  It is the only way to Love truly, and it frees Us from special relationships.  For when your Love is rightly put to use, what else can You do with it but shower it on All.  Your special loves are not discarded but fully included in this Love.

Freely You have received Our Father’s magnificent Love, how else can It be shared but freely letting the Love of God flow equally, from You, as You, to All, just as He equally loves Us All?  And as Love becomes Who You are, suddenly Everyone is special to You.

‘Oh no!’ You say. ‘How can I love like that?  It’s hard enough to love my friends and family, one at a time.  Loving everyone would be impossible!  I’m not big like God.’  And with those words and that decision, You have become a stranger to your Self, in the strange land You call the world, which You have created.  And so You keep yourself separate and apart, so unlike He Who loves eternally, repeating endlessly that You are both unlike and apart from Him, so loving universally is just too hard.

The reason that it’s hard is because You’re not loving all!  Splitting up your love, You’ve singled some out as ‘special’, as ‘deserving’ (for the moment) of your special love, which isn’t really love at all, but symptomatic of your insistence on not being as your Father.

And so You languish in a prison cell of your own making, and You notice not the absence of any locks and doors, for You have imprisoned yourself in a tiny sense of mind and cannot see any further than your beliefs that True Love is lost to You along with Home.

Your Love is never lost because It is what You are.  It is the Light from which the Love You are pours forth.  And It is much easier to access than You think.  Where is It found but as that major part of You known as the Holy Spirit, whose plan consists of a two-word prayer to free You, your Love, and Joy.  We simply ask the Holy Spirit to: “Take over.  Please be Me.”

And this is no stranger that You invite to be your Mind, your Life, your Love, but the Real You.  And You are going to Love the One You really are, more and more each day.

This is an adventure, worthy of the Son of God You are.

Chapter 12

THE PROBLEM OF GUILT
VII. The Attainment of the Real World

Sit quietly – not just a stillness of the mouth, but of the mind.  The quietness of mind You would have if You were walking by a precipice in total dark, and needed Me to Guide each step.  That – that – is the quietness I want, the attentiveness, as if your life depended on it, and, indeed, it does.  For what You are experiencing now is far from Life Itself – a deadened, flat perception of Something Infinite.

Like feeling your way along the precipice, not with your feet, but with the Wholeness of our Joining, knowing I can See and Feel, and now can You – and so we look upon the world you see, and tell yourself,
“The real world is not like this. It has no buildings, and there are no streets where people walk alone and separate. As I have said before, Oneness is the universal law.  Nothing is ever left out, a concept that does not exist as Heaven.  Every One and every Thing is precious to Us All.

Because there is no separation, there are no buildings as You know them, nor streets nor gardens as You know them, yet Heaven is not empty!  The Ideas behind the buildings – the Gatherings of Love – these exist.  And streets?  There are Ways – a Holiness of Movement – Infinite Ways.  And Gardens: the Experience of Flowers, Plant Life in Infinite Dances and Songs of Harmony, Experiences that even as Heaven are exquisite, joyous.

There are no stores where people buy an endless list of things they do not need. Because there is no need, there are no stores.  There are designs … of Ideas, again as Dance and Song (Movement and Music) and Mathematics; Beauty coming together in Infinite Experience – a Kaleidoscope of joyous Life.

As Reality, You always have exactly what You need.  This is better said: You always have exactly what is right, and it is given as God’s Gift to You.  This is what the Holy Instant is: sequential and exquisite moments of the Oneness that You share as God is Be-ing You and You and You.  There are not words to give the expression of this Life of seamless Holy Instants, as they flow from Joy and Peace that You have barely tasted yet.  And taste it soon You will, as You allow My Love to Be You, and your experience as Light begins.

The new Jerusalem of which the Bible speaks is the Place of Only Love.  It is not lit with artificial light, and night comes not upon it. There is no day that brightens and grows dim. There is no loss. Nothing is there but shines, and shines forever.” It isn’t lit because All is Light!  You are Light Itself.  And how beautiful You are.

The world YOU see must be DENIED, – not that there is no place for You to be; far from it!  Instead of the world with all its limits, the Universe is yours, with all of Its Infinity of God’s Ideas for You to see, and smell, and hear, and taste and feel.  It is a Universe of rejoicing for everything in It is Love and loving You.  And this is why You must deny what seems to play out before your eyes – for sight of it is costing you a different kind of vision. 

And would You not be happy to see with Me as I do?  To share My Peace and Joy with every view of Reality, another name for Heaven?  We long for You to join the Brotherhood again, for It is lonesome without You.  To do this is not hard.  Again I only ask a little willingness to ask for My True Vision instead of the world You think You see.

YOU CANNOT SEE BOTH WORLDS, for each of them involves a different kind of seeing and depends on what you cherish.  And what do You hold dear?  Is it the world You made with all its pain and loss, or will You let it be that little memory that You feel when We are joined, of what it’s like to feel My Love for You and how secure It is.

The sight of one is possible BECAUSE you have denied the other. When You chose the strange and limited view that We’ve called the world, the Heaven that You’d always known slipped quietly out of sight, hidden by the travesty of life You’ve come to know since then.

And yet its claim to any Reality or Truth is false, for only one is Real. Both are not true, – and only Heaven is the Real – yet either one will seem as real to you as the amount to which you hold it dear.

For eons now the world has been your choice, and it seems to have You tightly in its grip, spinning endlessly between birth and death, and birth and death again, lifetime after lifetime.  What a foolish use of Life Eternal.

And yet their power is NOT the same because their real attraction to you is unequal. What does that mean?  The world You see, what is it but your own invention overlaid upon the joy that Heaven is.  It has no power over You but that with which You do endow it.  It is a useless thing, being non-existent.  And yet You live as if it were reality itself.
You do not really want the world you see, for it has disappointed you since time began.  And how did time ‘begin?  Time is not real, but rather a default state of the ignorance of Mind being All and your projections nothing. This is the fact despite their screaming for reality.

The homes you built have never sheltered you. And do You think there is need for shelter in Reality?  Then think again and try – yes try! – to imagine what could ever harm the Spirit of God that’s known as You?  For That is what You truly are.

The roads you made have led you nowhere, for there is nowhere to go for now here is always where You are, as infinite variety. – and no city that you built has withstood the crumbling assault of time. For You have forgotten that your creations are always only Spirit.  Nothing you made but has the mark of death upon it. Yet all Real Things teach only Life Eternal.

Hold it not dear, for it is old and tired, – and dear it certainly isn’t – and ready to return to dust even as you made it.  A great distinction between this world and Heaven is that: in the world things are constructed while as Heaven they just are; having … no, Be-ing Complete from God.

This aching world has not the power to touch the living world at all.  It waits in joyous, patient expectation for your glad return.  Your robe, and ring and sandals are resting by the open door.  You could not give it that, – and yet the time is drawing nearer every instant – and so although you – did, and do no longer – turn in sadness from it, – because You know you cannot find in IT the road that leads away from it into another world, the one You made, or so You think. And yet it is nothing new, but just a limited distortion of a Place so perfect and so beautiful that fills Eternity, and You have only buried – not forgotten – the Knowledge of It.
And so, although the memory is deeply hidden: Yet the real world has the power to touch you even here BECAUSE YOU LOVE IT. Yes!!  You felt the power and the Truth behind those words.  You have NOT FORGOTTEN WHAT True Love is,  And what you call with love WILL come to You because It is already here.  What You thought You left is always with You.  It is You who is ignoring It and not the other way around!  And isn’t this good news.

Love always answers, because It abides as You, and therefore, Its very Be-ing, is being unable to deny a call for help, or not to hear the cries of pain that rise to it from every part of this strange world you made but do not want, It stands ever ready to give You all the aid You need. The only effort – and it is really effortless once You realize the pain it is – you need make to give this world away in glad exchange for what you did not make is willingness to learn THE ONE YOU MADE IS FALSE. For never could You change Reality.  It is as Permanent as God, unchanging Good; for God It is, Be-ing All Creation.
You HAVE been wrong about the world because you have misjudged YOURSELF. The moment that You chose to see a different way, so different became Your world, for your world is only What You see or what You think You see.  And that is literally: what You think, … You see?

And once You’d thought to see a different way, well: From such a twisted reference point what COULD you see but God’s Creation twisted beyond recognition?

All vision starts WITH THE PERCEIVER, who judges what is true and what is false. And what is judgment but an exercise of thinking on your own, the very antipode of Knowing, your original Consciousness.   Having shrunken your vision and ‘invented’ a place so unlike Heaven that it should have been laughable to You, rather than embraceable.  And embrace it You have till your memory of Home and Joy is completely gone, there remaining only the sense that You should be happy, if only You remembered how.

And what he judges false HE DOES NOT SEE. All that remains to You is the strange exercise of ‘thinking’, which is what your Knowing shrunk to.  And with it You endlessly attempt to justify yourself in every situation.

You who would judge reality CANNOT see it, – as It is hidden by your misperceptions – for whenever judgment enters reality has slipped away.  And why?  Because Reality is Love, and Love sees All through the Vision of Perfection.  Yes, You felt a faint reminder of what it means to be loved like that, and You are remembering your first experience of that Love as You, and how You saw the great gulf between the love that serves the world and the Love of Heaven, the only Reality.

The relentless judgment of the ego, with its darkened sense, hides Reality from view, and not remembering what You’ve lost, You search frantically for some one or some thing – or many ones and many things to fill an emptiness without measure, when all it takes to feel fulfilled and safe is to reach out for My hand and open up your mind to Me and let Love in.

The out of mind is out of sight – and so You do not see the glorious Self You are – because what is denied is there, but is not RECOGNIZED. Christ is still there – right where You are – although you know Him not. His Being does not depend upon your recognition. And so He waits in loving silence for You to ask for help.  He lives within you – as You – in the quiet present – which is always Now and Here. And it is quiet because You have moved all your attention to the past and to the future, totally neglecting Now.  And Now is where You really are while You dwell endlessly in the past and dream within the dream about the future.

And so that lovely, “quiet present” – also known as Now – abides, and waits for you to – to shut the door forever on the future and leave the past behind – as it never was – and enter into the Present – ever-present – world He holds out to you in love – as His eternal Gift of You. Will You not take it Now and let His Love become You?  And your return to Home is sure and steady, filled with both His Joy and Yours.

INTRODUCTION TO MIRACLES

23. Miracles rearrange perception, and place the levels of perception in true perspective. This heals at ALL levels, because sickness comes from confusing the levels.

 It is most confusing to think that sickness, sin, death, lack, pain discord, and so on, are real.  We might say that it is absolute confusion to think that unreality is Real.  It is so confusing because it is senseless, even to some ruled by the ego, to think that God, Who is Love itself, could give anything less than Love Itself.
Yet God has never felt betrayed for Perfect Love sees only Its Own Presence.

Your commitment is not yet total, and that is why you still have more to learn than to teach.What is total commitment?  At first My answer may seem odd, but hear Me out.  There has – in this world – been one benefit alone to all the wars been fought, countless wounded lost to death, and that is this: that every confirmed atheist – or church-going non-believer – when confronted with the fear that causes one to wet themselves – the unbeliever reaches out to he knows not What.
Yet at that moment certain is he that Something unseen is there and quite capable of help.  And miracles have happened for this unbelieving one as surely as for those who already walk with God.
 
When your equilibrium stabilizes, you will be able to teach as much as you learn, which will give you the proper balance.

 

Since this is learned within the doing, while You learn, I must be your point of stability.  Take My hand, and do not let it go.  As We stay Joined, You will be able to walk above the most tumultuous waters – first on land and then at sea.
Meanwhile, remember that no effort is wasted, for unless you remember this, you cannot avail yourselves of MY efforts, which ARE limitless.

Ah, yes.  This fact seems so wonderful to a world where everything is wasted effort unless its motive is a Gift of Love.  While many of You have labored long and unselfishly to bless another – and the fruits are very long in coming – take heart and join your works with Mine, which as I said are limitless and ever-fruitful as Reality.  This is the stuff out of which come unexpected healings and transformations – sudden shifts of perception where they were certainly not expected.

When your work seems more than You can bear – no end in sight – yoke yourself with Me and remember that I said: “-My yoke is easy and My burden Light.”5  I meant that quite literally.  It is Light that I carry to You – as You – and Light It Is that You will bear along with Me.

Only eternity is real. Why not use the illusion of time constructively?  I asked You to get up and listen at this early hour because M needs someone holding watch for her, stating the Presence of Life, right where she is, right now.  This is a constructive use of time, and your willingness to arise through the pain you are suffering is, indeed, a Creation of Love.  And here is perhaps a good place to speak of these Creations of Love, which are all that is real or permanent about what You call the human experience.
Creations are usually thought of as being things.  They are not, although they are very tangible and very visible to those who have the feelings to care and the eyes to see.  Creations are … yes, You’re laughing.
(Note: I’d found a pause in what I was hearing because I thought it was going to be hard to comprehend what He was going to say; You know, some deep Truth, far beyond the human ken.  There’s a cd I made last evening before church with the song Living Love on it, that I was barely hearing until I paused the Flow of His Ideas by thinking I couldn’t hear.  As He said: “Creations are …” … the words “Living Love” were sung, completing the introduction of the idea!)
Creations are Living Love.  Let that sit for a minute. …  …  Okay.  This is not hard to comprehend.  Would the Essence of Life be a difficult thing?  No.  It is simple and natural.
Every kindness – every thoughtfulness expressed – is Living Love: the True Substance of All Things, All Ideas of God – whether seen as people, things, actions, feelings, ideas, supply – All is Living Love.  Your willingness to rise is not just the nice gesture of a friend, but the absolute stuff of Life Itself.  It is a Gift of Life Extension- no that is not the right word.  Life is Eternal; it … is forever Extended by God.  However, the use gives the idea that Life could be truncated.  No.  We will use … Life Energy.  And this is what Quantum Touch is about.
Just as when the water in the pump basket drops low, it needs an infusion from the hose to allow it to run properly again, usually blowing the air out of the system, just so is the Gift of Living Love.
This is not so hard to understand, is it?  And yes, Christian Science treatments might be called maximal infusions or Gifts because of their clear – as well as devoted – intention to heal.
These infusions are as capable of restoring Supply to Its Natural Function – as they are of restoration of the body- of the Experience of Body.
I’ve said many times in a different venue that You all are embodied forever.  Your Body, then, must be Ever-Perfect, and so it is only a question of restoring your experience of It – of Its Ever-Perfection.

22. Miracles are associated with fear only because of the fallacious belief that darkness can HIDE.

Why would anyone be afraid of a miracle?  And what does that mean, the “belief that darkness can hide”?   Well, if You thought You were an ego – and egos are dissipated by the Light – the very Presence of Love – of God – then the Light would be a frightening thing, promising extinction.

It is well to remember – when contemplating the ego – that it has only one ‘function’ – and that one only serves itself.  The function of the ego is to survive – to keep its self going – not You. 

In fact, the ego will willingly – and often does kill You off, rather than have You awaken to realize its uselessness.  Be alert to this.  As I said two thousand years ago: “If (You) keep My saying, (You) will never see death.” (John, Gospel of; chapter 8, verse 51.) 

Therefore, the ego loves darkness, the thicker the better – where Light is far away.  This accounts for the popularity – and increase – of depression in the human condition, as more Truth penetrates consciousness.  Depression serves the ego well, and it is only of the ego.  Do you understand that?  There is no Divine basis for depression at all. 

Man believes that what he cannot see does not exist, and his physical eyes cannot see in the dark.Indeed, You do believe that what You are blind to does not exist.  Why is that?  Because You have allowed the ego to be ‘You’ – what You call You.  You have hidden Who You Are out there in the Light – as the Light – while You huddle in the deep cave of ego-dom, blind as a bat because your eyes have become unaccustomed to Light.

This is a very primitive solution, and has led to a denial of the Spiritual eye. *To say that this is a primitive solution is charitable.  It is a very childish, immature way of being, to shut one’s eyes to good, while at the same time complaining about the darkness.  The solution, of course, is to take one’s petty little ego mind off one’s self and to think about how one can extend some needed Love to others. 

The escape from darkness involves two stages:

The recognition that darkness CANNOT hide. This step usually entails fear. 

In other words, that You can realize what You are doing – and do differently.  The extreme self-concentrated thinking that You have been engaging can suddenly become repugnant to You.  (Remember, You are the very Presence of Love – of God – despite the game You are playing.  This remembrance would bring with it a longing for Home.)  The response the ego brings up to this memory is usually fear – the fear of God’s ‘retribution’.  This is absolutely nonsensical and only possible because You  have forgotten What the Presence of Love really is.  Nonetheless, to the ego – who loves punishment – the inflicting of it – this fear and concept seem very real and even sensible.  It involves a total amnesia of God, Love. 

Nothing could be farther from the Truth.  And nothing stands in the way of your finding yourself Home but unwillingness.  Now You see why I have asked only for a little willingness. 

The recognition that there is nothing you WANT to hide, even if you COULD.

You see how safe you feel with Me.  Now, multiply My total acceptance of You Infinitely.  With so much Love supporting You, does it still seem a task too hard to Love the ‘unlovable’ (or so they seem)? 

God has not made You so, and thus He has not made them so.  You have just gotten this and the possibility is suddenly viable, isn’t it?  I feel your ‘yes’ with Joy.  What cannot We do together as You offer Me your willingness? 

It is a measure of the Safety that You feel, that willingness is freely given.  Many things in the world still frighten You, and yet the Embrace of God has become your Sanctuary, and this is good. 

This step brings ESCAPE from fear.

Well, of course!  In a benign world – a benign Universe flowing from a benign Good, what is there to fear.  Reality, then, is permanent and Good, while only the split-minded beholder believes s/he can ‘see’ what isn’t.  And why is the world perceived in such a bizarre way, so far from anything that’s Real?

This is an important question because, in the answer, lies the key to your non-existent cell door.

(* The term “Spiritual eye” is later replaced by the Holy Spirit and the physical eye becomes the ego. The emphasis on the two ways of seeing, however, remains throughout.)

Having forgotten that You made a choice to see the world askew, I am now – with Joy – reminding You.

The reason is quite simple.  In the strange delight the dreamers found that with a squint they could see the world anew – came sudden fear at their temerity.  To defy Omnipotence seemed a crime that would be punished by annihilation – a possibility related to Truth only by its impossibility.

Fun was gone and in its silly place appeared survival.  Counting only its own survival worthy, this strange ego thought – becoming more alien by the moment – found its formerly dear brothers and sisters now quite worthy of sacrifice.

This heartlessness was backed up – indeed based on the absolute need to be ‘right’ – a new concept replacing the Goodness of All Be-ing.  Now survival is firmly based on being the ‘rightest’.

Look around your world – look at all relationships.  Even parent-child, the supposed tenderest of all relationship – child and parent are vying for the prize of rightness, the parent only assigning it to child if it is clear the parent made it so.

And so the Love that stands silently where each One is is hidden securely behind these games of hate.  The pain of this is so great that the dreamer – albeit sleeping all the time – soon is tired.  And so ‘death’ was invented and agreed upon, along with its partners ‘sin’ and ‘sickness’ to prepare the hapless one for his or her ‘final reward’.  This exit from the dream comes with a rider: it allows each one to choose again. 

Having become addicted to this compelling behavior demanding rightness – almost like God – the choice is made far too often for the dream once more.

What I have come to tell You for the past 2000 years is that the Choice for God can be made at any time.  The Choice entails no loss of Good at all, but a Gain – right Here and Now – of a Happiness beyond words.  There is no loss of your loved ones – or of You for them.   Instead, You now will begin to really Love again instead of sacrificing them to your insatiable altar of survival.  Your Peace assured, their True well-being becomes your dearest wish.

20. Miracles reawaken the awareness that the Spirit, not the body, is the altar of truth.

It is the awareness that … Spirit – not body is the Altar of not only Truth, but of Life, Love, Principle, Identity.  Never – never – are any of You ‘mortals’.

Your Divine Principle, or Source, is always God, Spirit.  You are not from the proverbial sperm and egg.  These are just childish games and rules invented by the dreamers.  It is necessary to wake up from them.  This is why I walked on water and through walls.

I was not playing parlor games with My disciples, but rather wanting to jolt them out of their complacency with so-called matter.

It was not done overnight – nor frequently in the past 2000 years; and yet, at any moment You can waken, realize the strange rules, with which You have bound yourself and others, are merely strange, not rules at all.
There is no mortal.  The ghosts and goblins that you see called ‘human’ are no more real than Halloween costumes of the same.
The individuals – thinking they are really clever and inventive – have come up with their persona – (which, as you know, is ‘mask’ in Latin) and have become obsessively identified with it, forgetting that it is just a pointless figment of their imagination.
Indeed, such a thought would send most dreamers into a defensive rage.  (Yes, it is good to note and understand that all rage is a defensive stance, while also being an addiction.)
Who are these individuals?  Again: anyone who prefers the unreality of dreams to the Joy and Peace and – yes, Fun! – of Life as One with God.  So count yourself among them, while You wish to idly dream on, making all your own decisions.  And yet, the moment that You turn to Join – before You’ve yet to speak – a hand has clasped your outstretched one, and … all your loneliness is gone.  Spirit now is free to work, as You defer to It.
The recognition of the Help frees mind to hear.  This is the recognition that leads to the healing power of the miracle.
What did I say to you those years ago that cut right through your fear?  That Spirit is your loved one’s Reality; and when acknowledged – that Truth reigns supreme.  And so it was, as your fear melted, it melted hers (for minds are joined) – and the healing of her body freely commenced.
The healing of the mind takes only such a shift.  Her mind is Mind – as free as Spirit – hatred, rage and fear can stick not to the Light.

21. Miracles are natural expressions of total forgiveness. I think We will continue to speak on this because there is a need, not just in your experience but multiplied a billion-fold.  Your world is raging, a defensive move against the fear.  And all that will dissolve that rage is summed up in the single word ‘forgiveness’.  There is much more to this than the letting go of grievances, as freeing as that is.  It is a shift of focus – of raison d’être – a change of mind for why You’re here.
Almost everyone has come to gratify addiction. A simple glance at your own behavior, as well as that of others, is enough.  There are many of them: anger, fear, drugs, sex, power, dominance, victim, control, war games, money, complaint.  This is the state We have discussed before of being here for getting.

To be here for giving constitutes the state of ‘for-giveness’.  It is the only way to put the ego to the side.
Although it was unspoken then, it surely is clear that I came to give – not get. The gifts were freely taken by greedy children, most of them, without a thought to what lay unseen behind the Gift of Healing.
Those who play at being ‘mortal’ are so hungry for things, for relief from all their pain and lack.  And yet the Gift, when taken and not understood, is like admiring and wearing the beautiful wrapping paper, while the Garment of the Gift of Life lays, discarded on the floor.
When You are miracle-ready, this means You are ready to accept God’s Giving.  What does this really mean?  Who wouldn’t want God’s Gifts?  ‘Oh God help me! …  After I’ve tried these vitamins, doctors, drugs, high colonics, surgeries, therapies, radiation, chemotherapy.

Heal me please when none of these really work.  And, while You’re at it, please don’t ask me to love my nasty boss, controlling father-in-law or the neighbors who play rock music at 1:00 a.m., or my child who just pierced her navel.’
Accepting miracles, God’s Gifts, means the beginning of accepting the All-Giving of God.  Which means – at least in a small degree – to begin to remember Home.

More of You need to begin to allow the miracles You experience to change your lives, instead of just accepting them for making the human experience (so-called) more comfortable – temporarily more comfortable.  A healing of a headache is a statement that You need to have no more of them.  God’s Gifts are permanent.

Through miracles, man accepts God’s forgiveness by extending it to others. So, how shall You extend the purpose of giving – of being here for giving – to others?  It is a two-step waltz.  The first step is the Acknowledgement of the Divine Presence of God as your neighbor and yourself.  And the second equal in importance is the Gift of active Love, which You will be Guided to extend.

‘Oh, You’re the blessèd child of God, be well.’ – leaves the Gift still half undone.  Ask Me, ask God, and You will be Guided what to say and what to give so that the wounded one may really feel the Love and find their healing come – not through your ministrations, but because of them – your willingness to give.

And from your Gift, extended in the Name of God (unspoken may it be), something New takes place for Giver and Giftee.
A small remembrance of How It Is has now appeared for both of You – a ray of Heaven in the midst of hell, which somehow glows with possibilities brand-new.  And both of You are one-step nearer Home.

19. Miracles make minds one in God.
In Truth no miracle could ever be performed were not this Oneness always True.  Were separation possible, communication would forever cease; for though it seems to move through time and space, words falling from your lips and entering the ears, this is but another illusion as all communication is by Mind, just as You can clearly hear Me now and feel My smile.

And do You not feel a safety, a restful undefendedness when We confer? For We are equals, though You remember not.  My Voice is *Realer* to You than anyone You’ve ever heard, and always ready, waiting for your willingness.

It is not so with bodies, is it?  I’ll tell You why.  Each one of Us has Infinite facets of Identity, body – or embodiment – being only one.  Because the limited view of body – from the third dimensional perspective – was so amusing at first, the ego fixated on that as its identity; and so that has become who and what You think You are.

As thought drifted farther and farther from remembrance of Home, embodiment’s distortion grew.  Humor was lost and the body became – to You all – serious stuff indeed, rather than a simple and a beautiful tool – a facet of You for Identification – the exercise of the Visibility and Tangibility of Spirit.

Many myths were invented to explain its odd behavior, and they became the norm.  And yet, Who You Are remains unchanged, held safe by God.  This Fact – Our Oneness and, therefore, your eternal safety – is the foundation of every miracle.

They depend on cooperation,

Whose cooperation?  Yours.  You’ve not got to coerce anyone to be healed, to see it ‘your way’ or the ‘right way’.  Just You.  If You will Join with Me, You are cooperating.  Cooperating merely means being willing to be in your natural state of Oneness with All.

I know this seems monumental to the ego mentality, which absolutely loves to decide everything alone.  Oh, it may ask for advice from other egos, perhaps more learnèd, but ultimately the decision is your own.  You may seem to be only one in millions, even billions, and yet –because the Sonship is the sum of all the Souls God created. – your decision to cooperate – since minds are joined as surely as Mind is One and All – your Joining brings the experience to every consciousness that has decided to go it on its own.  And they are perhaps a little comforted.  And those who do not yet feel anything have had their connection opened.

Miracles therefore rest on the laws of eternity, not of time.  And what makes the shift from time unto Eternity but Joining, for they are always happening one and the same.

Time is what You think is going on, while Eternity is What Is always True.  (Here We see the impossibility of deterioration, which is the key to healing all.  Could You – or anyone or thing – ever have deteriorated from your Ultimate Perfection? This cannot be as Our Source sustains Us All.)

Your Perfection and Wholeness is Eternal, ever-available.  It is untouched, unchanged by the human dream.  I cannot say this strongly enough.  It is imperative for You to waken from your mesmeric delusion of Life.

How may You know whether You are experiencing Real Life or not?  By your measure of Peace and Joy and Energy.  This is absolutely a treatment of healing for Melanie and You must hold sacred her Wholeness.

As You continue to listen to the next Miracle Principle, You will see the basis from which I speak.

18. A miracle is a service.
Let’s remember what Mary Baker Eddy says the Talmud says on this.  The best way to meet a need is to teach someone – from your Guidance – how to transform that need into a constant supply.  He or she does not understand God if they believe that constant experiences of needs being met is the completeness of Fullness, Wholeness.  It is only an opportunity to stay in the dream without being uncomfortable.
While I Love You too much to ignore your pleas, the Real Gift I’m giving You is the One of Completeness.  Remember, You have All that You need for Infinity/Eternity right in this very moment – as You will for Infinite Holy Moments – the Infinite Holy Moments that make up Eternity.
This is indeed the meaning of the redundant word- the seemingly redundant word incorrectly translated in “Give us this day our daily bread.”  As it presently stands the meaning felt is that one must beg to have daily the little that sustains, while the True Meaning here could not be further from that.  The Lord’s Prayer – as you call it – is not a prayer of asking, but rather a prayer of the assured mind.  Assured of what?  That consciousness is One with God – Mind of All.
There is no begging in this Holy Prayer, which states God’s Presence and Power right here and now – in what can be called the human dream.  Our Father which art Consciousness Itself – Holiness Itself.

This is tantamount to My saying “-God is, and then We cease to speak.”  It is an acknowledgement of the Here and Now Presence of God, which is the Kingdom – the Kingdom of Heaven – ever yours.  Remember I said: “Fear not little flock.  It is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.” (Luke 12:32)  That Gift is already made; has eternally been yours.  You have just forgotten It, and I am reminding You of this Divine Fact.

So, not only is the Kingdom come; it is yours … and yours … and yours … and yours …  The Kingdom is everyone’s – and Its Fullness is not only not diminished by being shared, it is expanded … Infinitely.
What a Gift … freely Given of the Father-Mother God to All.  You are not left out.  I would say: “from the least of You to the greatest” only there are no least.  You are All the Greatest!

It is the maximal service one individual can render another. Miracles come from acknowledging another as the Christ.  This is, indeed, the greatest Gift You can give.  Any other view of your brother – your sister – simply perpetuates the pain they are in.  And mark what I am saying here: the entire human dream is an experience of pain; either pain remembered, pain experienced now, or pain dreaded in the future.  What is the origin of this pain?  It is the fear brought on by the insistence on separation of your thought from Love, from God – the fear of annihilation that You all call death, the petty god You have raised up to replace Love.   The institution You have set in place denying eternal Life.
You have made up other strange ideas to mitigate the terror this brought on: there is the removal of heaven to the sky with a prerequisite of death.  There is the hell You’ve buried deep within what You call the earth – a place You cheerfully condemn the others to, while reserving the ‘airborne’ for yourself.
Then there is karma, which ensures repeated dreams in which You can sin now and pay later, hoping later never comes.  The dullest of them all is still ‘death’ – the one on which they all depend which makes You nothing but a bag of bones consigned to come to ‘life’ but briefly before being sent eternally to dust.  Do these sound like just desserts for the very Presence of God Himself/Herself?
There need be no hell beneath, for You have created it right here – a hell of mind – of mindlessness.
And so You see the Gift that the acknowledgement of Christ is right where your brother stands.  He is suddenly freed from these strange bonds that strangle every soul who opts to dream as humans do.  Right here and now his freedom comes and shines with a Light that blesses You.  This is the Gift of Love so Pure that everyone is blessed.
It is a way of loving your neighbor as yourself. The doer recognizes his own and his neighbor’s inestimable worth simultaneously. Do You not wish to be seen as the beautiful one you know that you must be?  So does your brother.
And to have your “holiness as plain to see” as is your body?  So does your sister.
Your hopes and dreams are parallel to theirs, so why not give to them this precious Gift.  It costs You nothing, and the return on it is absolutely priceless.  The Gift comes back to You, multiplied by Infinity, for Love is a coin increasing exponentially each time You spend it.

Just that small acknowledgement that embraces You and all as well: ‘My sister is the Christ.  Right where she is is God.’ – And this in the face of whatever might be spewing from her mouth.  They would be words of Love if she could just remember Who She Is.  Your brother is the same.  All of Us are Priceless, minted straight from God, eternally.

The unseen Perfection You acknowledge for another uncovers yours to You.

15. Each day should be devoted to miracles. 

Oh, yes!  Indeed.  Creation Itself is miraculous, teeming with Good.  Would not the learning of this Good, the vision of miracles, be a more interesting use of your time than the pursuit of more and the hours spent zoning out?  Rather than: how much money did I make today? – how about: how many times did I notice God supplying my All today?  Lest those of You in finance feel unfairly judged, let Me say here that I have nothing against money.  It would be cumbersome – for the ego, that is – to buy houses hotels in Monopoly with good deeds and miracles.

Let Us be sure to remember, though, that the symbol is never a true substitute for the Real.  You exist eternally by the Movement of God – the Presence-ing of God – and your Existence is ever complete.

The purpose of time is to enable man to learn to use it constructively. Time is thus a teaching device, and a means to an end.  It will cease when it is no longer useful in facilitating learning.

When You all turned your backs on God, You suddenly found no stability to your experience – like an astronaut free-floating in space, unable to control movement.  Eternity and Heaven include no rules of gravity, and yet there is a Divine Order in which We all fit with joy.

Everyone is absolutely essential; and that Order – which in no way imposes Itself upon You, but rather You are an integral part of It – that Order is your Basis – the … there is not a word for It that is suitable.  Even Source does not give the idea of just how … harmonious … Reality is and how Inclusive – All-Inclusive – and therefore, just how important YOU are.

Lacking memory of this framework of Heaven, You have instead time and space, poor, poor substitutes for Now and Here.  Actually, there are no substitutes for Reality; time and space simply give You a strange framework in which to play your games.

The only proper use of the word ‘time’ is that it’s time to give this strange view of the world up and take on My yoke – My Way of seeing things.  It is a beautiful View.  I wish You could all see your own magnificence.

16. Miracles are teaching devices for demonstrating that it is more blessèd to give than to receive.

Yes, here We are with the wonderful rules of Reality – where everyone is equally blessèd.  Why more blessèd?  Because You are all so full of yourselves that more becomes a burden.  Even the more of Good finds no place to get in with a mind full of itself.

The willingness to give – even of a limited sense of self – leaves space for the Divine to enter.  Then You really have something Good to give.

They simultaneously increase the strength of the giver and supply strength to the receiver.

This is absolutely perfect for what I am wanting to say to Jennifer vis à vis the place she needs to rest in – abide as – in order to support her son’s willingness for healing.

You remember the Divine Law that in giving, You are receiving.  Your Love is your Strength.  The problem in mental illness – or, for that matter, mental aberration of any kind – is that, as I have alluded to You in what I’ve had to say about autism – self-ism, literally – the religion is the one of oneself.  It is by no means limited to those so diagnosed, but actually covers the entire ego perspective.

The healing for self-absorption is Love.  Therefore, the ‘stronger’ gets to express their Love – which naturally increases with every Expression – as they give, while the recipient, having gaps- that is not quite the word … It is like cell receptors in the brain.  If they are blocked by emotional substances, they are not free to receive nutrition – in this case, the Nutrition of Love. … However, like the Light penetrating the darkness, the Love penetrates and loosens the clogs blocking the reception of Love.  Persistence in listening for and to the Voice for Love is the key.

Am I talking about human love – based on survival?  No.  I am talking about the Love that is ever busy acknowledging That Which Is Real about each and every One and each and every Thing.  There’s not much … resistance put up to that.  Everyone feels the glow of that acknowledgement, whether they can put it into words or not.  By this Acknowledgement You have a Temple – a Sanctuary of Love – that You carry with You – as You – wherever You are.

As You sit with your sleeping son, acknowledging what is Divine about him, the hospital room transforms – trans-substantiates into a Holy Sanctuary – a Temple of God.  Every one there is brought into – enters into – the Divine Presence.  What was hell is seen to be Heaven – have been Heaven all along.

Is this too much to ask?  That You might – right here in life – that You might come to play with Me as We gently waken our drowsy family.  Heaven Here. Miracles are the transcendence of the body.

What is My Meaning here?  Am I wanting You to leave your body – float off as disembodied mind?  No.  The separation of what You call ‘mind’ and what You call ‘body’ is impossible, as body is both noun and verb: mind expressed as well as mind-expressed.  There would be no body without mind, and it is impossible for mind not to express body, being its only source; therefore, body without mind is also impossible.   

Transcending the body merely means loosing oneself from the thought that what You are is a body.  What you are is Mind-Expressed, and that is a beautiful thing.  From there, miracles are seen to be Divinely Natural.

To the human or ego sense of things, body is something dense, woundable, perishable, called matter.  It is no such thing.  Your True Body is the Embodiment of Mind; your present experience of your body is the embodiment of the pretend mind with a little ‘m’ – the ego.

(Note: November 29, 2006; transcriber’s question: This is so like what You gave me to say to Jose today.  Do You want it added here?  Yes.  Listen, and I will give it to You fresh:  When You are listening to the Voice for fear: the ego, then the bottom line about the body is the id.  When you are listening to the Voice of Love – be it Me or God or the Holy Spirit – the basic fact about body is Revelation, seen as a miracle.)

They are sudden shifts into invisibility, away from a sense of lower-order reality. That is why they heal.

Again, the shift into the invisible is the Movement of mind to Mind – the shift from the unreal to the Real.  As the Real shines, a shift happens which You call healing.  It is really more properly a Movement toward Reality – a Movement that seems involuntary but is really the action of the Holy Spirit – rather than the ego – over-riding the ego to allow Divine Normalcy to work.  Allow the Divine Perfection to perfect You.

Now I want to clarify something here:  While a healing of any kind is a return to the Divine Normal – a healed ‘human body’ is not the Normal.  The ‘human’ body or situation is not what is actually present.  It is the faulty, limited – or ego – view of the Kingdom of Heaven, a Kingdom that is always Normal – always Perfect.  This is why I said to my disciples: “Be Ye perfect even as your Father, which is in Heaven” – which is the Heavenly Experience – “is Perfect.”

What is the Father?  The Father is the Allness – Infinite, entire Creation – as absolute Perfection.  To simplify it:  Each Idea of God is Perfect, in and of Itself.  The Father is the Perfection of All as absolute Harmony, each Idea perfectly interacting- No, there is a better word. … Each Idea perfectly dancing, All moving as the most exquisite choreography.  Realize that this is an Infinite Experience, and You will have a sense of the enormity of the Peace and Harmony and Beauty that Reality is.

And to the ego, it is hard to get on with only one other.

Now do you see the importance – the usefulness – the ability of the Father-Mother Mind to Guide You correctly?  That’s enough for tonight.  I want you to let the hugeness of God sink in.

Let Us come back to: “Be Ye therefore perfect”.  What is this Perfection but pure fact – the unmarred, unstained cleanness and clarity of the fact – the absolute Truth – of your Be-ing.  As your Father, as your Father-Mother God Source is perfect, so too, are You.

Is it any wonder then, that the stubborn ego mind attributes pain, disasters, illness, death to God’s inscrutable ways, while yet parroting the words that God is Love?  And yet, in its inconsistency, the ego is very consistent because it loves to inflict pain and suffering on those it says it loves, in order to control them.  Indeed, as it has been accepted: What is the god of a mortal, but a god of death – or taking it to its conclusion, death itself.

After all, what is it that everyone so firmly believes in, without a doubt?  Only death holds this supreme confidence.  So then, what has your god become but death?

And yet all this only takes place in your strange fancies for God – Our Source Itself – continues Shining, Be-ing You and All Reality while You toss and turn and moan in foolish dreams as Love Itself – Joy Itself – waits patiently for your awakening.

9. Miracles are a kind of exchange. Like all expressions of love, which are ALWAYS miraculous in the true sense, the exchange reverses the physical laws. They bring MORE love both to the giver AND the receiver.  And how can the physical laws be reversed?  They seem so … solid.  Again, can You cut the air – can You slice a sunbeam – with a knife?  Or do the breeze and Light just laugh and continue as they always were?  So like the breeze and Light are You.

10. The use of miracles as spectacles to INDUCE belief is wrong; or, better, is a misunderstanding of their purpose. They are really used FOR and BY believers.   A miracle is a gift to get your attention.  It is a call to Remembrance.  In a sea of despair, a miracle is a life raft of hope.  It is a glimpse that Something Good exists and is right now available to You.

11. Prayer is the medium of miracles. Prayer is the natural communication of the created with the Creator. Through prayer love is received, and through miracles love is expressed.  Prayer is the gold of human experience.  The longing of the heart for something better, something dimly known that must exist.  Through the miracle the reality of this Thing called Love shows forth.  It comes not just to heal the body or the situation, but to show the possibilities that stand behind Its Gift.  It asks but that You take Its offering.

INTRODUCTION TO MIRACLES

 

12. Miracles are thoughts. Thoughts can represent lower-order or higher-order reality. This is the basic distinction between intellectualizing and thinking. One makes the physical and the other creates the spiritual, and we believe in what we make or create.  This is necessary of some clarification because it seems to give some realness to the physical, as if there were two things: Spirit and its somehow-opposite called matter.  Here is a key point, and it is born out in Lesson 97 and the lessons preceding it.  There is only Spirit.

What I have called ‘intellectualizing’ simply misperceives, as if You were seeing a vine draped over a garden wall at a distance and You mistook it for a snake.  The vine stands for Reality here, the distance is your supposed separation from God, and the snake is the world, which is how Reality appears from the insistent stance for supposed separation.

Again, I say ‘supposed’ because You have never become separated.  At this instant You are embraced as the Father-Mother Love and can choose this Love at any moment.

The ‘physical’ is but a dream sense.  Spirit always remains the Reality no matter how often You choose to be ‘born’, ‘age’, ‘sicken’, and ‘die’.

It’s just a silly painful game, and – like the Light, the Love – You – right now, even as You seem to yourself to be a ‘mortal’ subject to danger, suffering, and death – right now – are no such thing.  Right now are You Spirit – the Presence of Love.  This is your healing and the healing of the world.

13. Miracles are both beginnings and endings. They thus alter the temporal order. They are always affirmations of rebirth, which seem to go back, but really go forward. They undo the past in the present, and thus release the future.  This is such a delightful experience.  As you gently shift your mind in the present, your old past is gone, and with it, freedom from self-justification.  This may sound awful.  If my mother, my father, my ex-spouse, my boss, my teacher didn’t do it to me, are you saying that it’s my fault, all this mess?

There is no fault when there is no guilt.  There is no guilt where there is no sin, and a dream of sin does not make it real.  Accept this for yourself and You win freedom for the world.

This is the hardest thing for the mind to accept because We’ve worn the coat of victimization for so long.  My mother, my father, my husband, my wife, my children, my government, the economy, my race, my religion, my caste … and ultimately all blame is settled on God who is said to have created this mess.

This is a heavy garment; like a suit of armor, it seems to protect while weighing Us down.  And yet, I say ‘Us’ because while You are so garbed I wear it with You to lighten the crushing load.  This is the ‘yoke’ I spoke of: “Take My yoke upon You … for My burden is easy, and My yoke is Light.”Text Box: ????

Come – will You?  Come and help lighten the load for yourself and our brothers and sisters.  Our beautiful brothers and sisters who lie sleeping next to You as You stir.

This is no sacrifice – in the ordinary sense of the word.  This is no sacrifice I ask of You, but a sacred act (which is the literal, original meaning of sacrifice), which can only bring You Happiness.

Is this too much to ask?  That You might – right here in life – that You might come to play with Me as We gently waken our drowsy family.  Heaven Here – not up in the sky – awaits Us All.

I ask You only that You be not so quick to condemn the unlovable, but rather extend a gentle patience, perhaps tinged with loving amusement at them – and at yourself – that anyone could ever think them thus.

Think of the burden it is for the Presence of Love to pretend that she – or he – is unlovable, even hateful.  No wonder You all spend so much time in front of the tv and sleeping.  To think the unthinkable is agony.

Let Us free All of Us from this pain – exchanging it for Joy.

14. Miracles bear witness to truth. They are convincing because they arise from conviction. Without conviction they deteriorate into magic, which is mindless, and therefore destructive; or rather, the uncreative use of mind.

Don’t worry about having skipped the other day.  What you needed to hear and share began at .  We’ll speak of now, which meets today’s need.

Truth is Reality.  Truth is All Good.  So miracles stand witness to the All Good (phone interruption) of ever-present Reality.

This attests to the need to be ever Conscious only of Now, because what You need is Now – not found in dwelling in the past or the future – neither of which has place as Reality.

Let Me repeat that: All that You could ever need is present Now.  It is only visible – for lack of better words – Now.   It is not only visible, but feel-able, audible, fragrant and sweet to the taste.  (Your senses are never separate.  The experience is multi-sensory.  Any time one sense appears solo is it always supported by a chorus of the others.  A simple bird song of Heaven is more complex and exquisite than a symphony orchestra.)

All that I am describing is the expression of the fullness and richness of Heaven.  The word ‘need’, itself, is an impossibility.  You come complete, full and running over as We all give to each Other as part of our natural, normal Divine interaction.

I will give You a glimpse of what this feels like – and it is an expansion of the question I gave You so many years ago: What would it feel like if every meeting You have – with anything – a brother, a sister – a rose – a grain of sand – a flea – what if they all were maximal expressions of Love?  Yes, I know I have taken it further, including every thing.  This is the ‘running over’ (referring to the twenty-third Psalm) when one is so full of Love – so filled with Love – that It cannot help but pour forth and bathe everyone and everything.

So, like children having a water fight on a hot day, dousing each other, laughing joyously, so Our Now is: full with Love, with Joy, ever shared.  ‘Alone’ – in the human sense of it – simply does not exist.

Life is Miraculous … Forever.

3. Miracles occur naturally as expressions of love. The real miracle is the love that inspires them. In this sense, everything that comes from love is a miracle.

  From this You may begin to understand that Reality is Love, and anything less than Love is unreal.  Reality is also Life.  And anything less than Life is unreal.

4. All miracles mean life, and God is the Giver of life. His Voice will direct you very specifically. You will be told all you need to know.  You need only listen, else the Voice for Love will fall on deaf ears.  This is why I said: “You have eyes and You do not see, and ears and You do not hear.”6   It is also what Jeremiah the prophet meant when he said that You “have forsaken the fountain of living waters” – of Life – “and hewn out cisterns” – limited concepts: the ego, and limited containers: a ‘brain’ – a ‘body’ – for life – “broken cisterns that hold no water.”7

Life cannot be contained by body, nor can It be limited or curtailed or controlled by the body.  Life is ever-available for It is What You Are.  It is a synonym for Love.

5. Miracles are habits and should be involuntary. They should not be under conscious control. Consciously selected miracles can be misguided.  In other words, listen first and trust.  Confide your need to God, and then let go into those arms, confident You will not fall; your security assured. 

If You would but know – with every fiber of your being – how You are Loved, your cares would vanish as You relax into that cherishing, embracing Support.

6. Miracles are natural. When they do NOT occur something has gone wrong.  This is no major project to correct.  It is but a simple mistake: You thought You succeeded in separating yourself from God.  You didn’t.  You suffer only from a belief, and beliefs can be willingly changed. 

7. Miracles are everyone’s right, but purification is necessary first.  What is this purification?  Is it a long and arduous task, a struggle of the forces of good against the forces of evil?  Must You “gird up your loins” to do battle against the “powers of darkness” – the evils within yourself and others.  Shall You give your firstborn for the “sin of your soul” as Micah asks?  No.  As he continues, all that is asked is “to do justly and love mercy (lovingkindness) and to walk humbly with your God.”8  And what is your God but Love? 

This is, of course, summed up in: “Do unto others as You would have them do unto You.”  Very simple, isn’t it?  Your devotion to God finds natural expression in your Love for others. 

8. Miracles are healing because they supply a lack in that they are performed by those who temporarily have more for those who temporarily have less.  Uh, oh.  I thought We were all equal, so what’s this about?  Miracles heal because they are gifts from those who are remembering more than those who are forgetting.  It is important to say here that forgetting something doesn’t mean it’s gone. 

It simply means that You have forgotten that you have it.  It is instantly available with your remembering.  Such is your true nature, your precious Divinity.  And of such remembering comes healing.

Peace – like Its Sister, Love – is not something that You can obtain and keep, doling it out only to your brothers and sisters who are ‘worthy’ of It in your eyes – your limited view.  Peace is the very foundation of your Be-ing, although It is carefully hidden behind all the concerns of what You are calling ‘life’. 

Peace is your Substance – in the literal sense of the word ‘understanding’ – that which stands under.  Your true Peace flows from what You Know of God, of Reality.  It is absolutely synonymous with Love.  From your Peace only Love can flow; and Love is the … Expresser … no, there is a better word.  Listen for it.  … Love is the Fountain, the Source, the Context in Which Peace exists.

Can you imagine hating someone and being at peace, even in the ordinary way of life?  The attempt to amalgamate Peace and hatred is ludicrous, for one must be chosen.  You cannot go to the left and the right at the same time.  You are bound to “ride the horse in the direction it’s going.”3

The choice is made, moment by moment, and the good news is that You can always choose again.  How hard this seems in the throes of anger and hatred, and yet your help is at hand.  You are not alone in this opportunity.  Your help is “closer … than breathing”.4

INTRODUCTION TO MIRACLES

 

(May 3, 2006)

As I have said before “You always choose between your weakness and the strength of Christ as You.”  And it indeed is the Christ as You, for We are equals.  Never have I called Myself Holier than Thou.  I am here reminding You moment by moment of your Holiness.  And it is – as the saying goes – a beautiful Thing.

Allow this to dawn upon You, Sun~Rose, for I am not just coming to You so You can communicate with Our Brothers and Sisters.  I am speaking directly to You, too.  It is time for You to stop playing at being ‘human’ while knowing full well that Something Else is going on.  This is what You’re here to do.  This is True for everyone, and lest You miss My meaning, I am speaking of your Divinity – the Divine Nature that is True about You.

All of You have always wanted to be ‘special’ – all of You.  That is part of the ‘kick’ of pretending.  Well I am telling You that You – All of You – are special – along with every other part of Creation.  As St. Augustine said:  “God loves each one of Us as if there were only one of Us.”5  This is something You can feel right now, as You are willing.

1. There is no order of difficulty among miracles. One is not “harder” or “bigger” than another. They are all the same. All expressions of love are maximal. It is as easy to heal a cancer as it is a hangnail, for any attack on Your Perfection is impossible.

You can cut the air with a knife as many times as You wish, and yet You will never make it bleed.  Wounding You – the desecration of your Be-ing – is impossible – and therefore this desecration may be refuted at any time.

2. Miracles as such do not matter. The only thing that matters is their Source, Which is far beyond human evaluation. Why do I say they do not matter?  Because they are unnecessary to Reality.  Yet they are necessary to You as You experience yourself now.  They are the happy intrusion of Reality into your dreams.

Jesus’ Course In Miracles

This is, of course, only My Course in the sense of My giving it to You, My beautiful sleeping Brothers and Sisters.

It might better be titled Jesus’ Gift to the world of dreams and dreamers.  My intention, given with this Gift, is that You all will waken to realize the Love that is Ours.

How do I describe this Love to You who think in terms of partiality?  It is … All: All there is including All.  Not one of You could ever be left out of this Love, out of the ‘loop’ as You say.  Everyone is not only included, but absolutely necessary – essential to Love, which would not be Love without You.

And I Love You unconditionally and unreservedly.

And I want You to understand that I am speaking to each and every one of You, whether You are reading this or not, no matter how good or bad You think You are, kind or mean, poor or rich, generous or stingy, intelligent or dull – whatever category, race or religion with which You have chosen to identify.

YOU are essential to God, to Me and to All. 

Unlike the song about Henry Higgins the sun will not rise without You. The birds will not sing without You. The tides are still, motionless without You. Spring will not come without You. You are absolutely essential to and Loved by Your Creator.

INTRODUCTION TO MIRACLES

This is really a reminder that Your Life is a miracle; and so, in re-introducing You to miracles, I am re-introducing You to your Self.

This is a course in miracles. – A living class – a teaching about All of Us by Someone who remembers to Those who have forgotten.  It is a required course. Only the time you take it is voluntary. Free will does not mean that you can establish the curriculum. It means only that you may elect what you want to take at a given time.

The question here is: how high is your threshold of pain? – For life experienced as separation from Love is agony.  You eat, You drink, You drug, You make love and money to fill the space – relieve the emptiness, and it never lasts.

The course does not aim at teaching the meaning of love, for that is beyond what can be taught.  It – Love – is your very Be-ing2 and can only be Known as You begin to re-member – re-join.  You have gone on your own for so long that You have forgotten what it is like to be supported by the Whole. 

It does aim, however, at removing the blocks to the awareness of love’s Presence, Which is your natural inheritance. The opposite of love is fear, but what is all-encompassing can have no opposite.  And Love is all-encompassing.  Every One is included.  You have forgotten what it is like to live without fear.  You might say that the absence of fear is Peace, just as the awareness of Love’s Presence is Peace.

This course can therefore be summed up very simply in this way:

Nothing real – and You are Real – can be threatened.

Nothing unreal exists.

Herein lies the Peace of God. – as You.
