LESSON THREE HUNDRED FORTY-EIGHT

L e s s o n  348

I have no cause for anger or for fear, for You surround me. — I am Part of You, and, therefore, must be holy too. And in every need that I perceive, Your grace suffices me.  How I Love those words, and what they imply: that things don’t meet Our real need that only grace can supply.

 

¹ Father, let me remember You are here, and I am not alone. That companionship comes not from bodies, but thoughts in harmony with each other.. Surrounding me is everlasting Love, which stretches on beyond Infinity. I have no cause for anything except the perfect peace and joy I share with You. You are My Relationship, not the world. What need have I for anger or for fear? Since Your Universal Good is right here. Surrounding me is perfect safety. For there can be no spot where You are not. Can I be afraid when Your eternal promise goes with me? Surrounding me is perfect sinlessness. What can I fear when You created me in holiness as perfect as Your own? All that there can be is Good everywhere. Belovèd Mother, You’re Omnipresent.

 

² God’s grace suffices us in everything that He would have us do. And only that we choose to be our will as well as His. In other words, We have no need but God.

Anger must come from judgment. Judgment is the weapon I would use against myself to keep all miracles away from me.

Oh! This seems so hard to do; the dream looks very real to Me. Yet does its specious ‘reality’ bring only pain to Me. The only way to Waken is to understand I’m dreaming!

 

¹ Father, I want what goes against my will and do not want what is my will to have. For I have been long befuddled by the ego, believing its claim to be Me. Pure stupidity on the part of Me. Straighten my mind, my Father. It is sick. Why would I dream nightmares when Reality is heavenly? It’s foolish of Me. But You have offered freedom, and I choose to claim Your gift today. Can painful eons really be erased? All things are certain to be healed by God. I am so grateful! And so I give all judgment to the One You gave to me to judge for me. Thanks be to God for the Holy Spirit. He sees what I behold, and yet He knows the truth. He can heal mind. He looks on pain, and yet He understands it is not real, and in His understanding it is healed. So painless, easy. He gives the miracles my dreams would hide from my awareness. And they bring Me to an Awakening. Let Him judge today. I do not know my will, but He is sure it is Your own. And He will speak for me, and call Your miracle to come to me. For the Holy Spirit really is Me.

 

² Listen today. Be very still and hear the gentle Voice for God assuring you that He has judged you as the Son He loves. There is no other judgment to be made. How Good is Our God!

Today the peace of God envelops me, – His Love brings overwhelming happiness –
And I forget all things except His Love.

¹ Father, I wake today with miracles correcting my perception of all things. I feel You in My mind, full with Your words of encouragement, Your outpouring Love.  And so begins the day I share with You as I will share eternity, for time has stepped aside today. I will do nothing on My own for I hear Your directions. I do not seek the things of time, and so I will not look upon them. For I long with all My heart to really know You once again. To leave the dream and move back into Eternity with You.  What I seek today transcends all laws of time and things perceived in time. Time is of the dream, and would walk back into forever. Leave the little box of ego prison. I would forget all things except Your Love. I would abide in You and know no laws except Your law of Love. So much more important to Me than all worldly things could be. And I would find the peace which You created for Your Son, – peace which flows from Love – forgetting all the foolish toys I made as I behold Your glory and my own. This is really what it means to come Home..

 

² And when the evening comes today, we will remember nothing but the peace of God, and the sweet joy that it has brought to Us. For we will learn today what peace is ours when we forget all things except God’s Love. This focus is not selfish for it will heal the world of dreams.

I offer only miracles today, – let My gifts all be freely given good – For I would have them be returned to me.  I do get back what I give; so let My giving be but Good.

¹ Father, a miracle reflects Your gifts to me, Your Son. For every miracle incepts in You. And every one I give returns to me, reminding me the law of love is universal, since We All are One. Even here it takes a form which can be recognized and seen to work. The harmony of God is operating, ever-present.  The miracles I give are given back in just the form I need to help me with the problems I perceive. Do You yet understand just how much You are Loved, how very safe You are with God? Let it register, filling You with joy! Father, in Heaven it is different, for there, there are no needs. For there is no delusion that One is separate from God. For Heaven is a state of Oneness that can be had right here, even while You dream. And it appears to be miraculous; it shows a holiness to Love of which You were unaware. But here on earth, the miracle is closer to Your gifts than any other gift which I can give. It is a much deeper, kinder sense of Love for My Brother. Then let me give this gift alone today, – loving Him this way – which, born of true forgiveness, lights the way that I must travel to remember You, Who is Love Itself.

² Peace to all seeking hearts today. That they may be filled with a quiet joy. The light – of understanding – has come to offer miracles to bless the tired world, showing forth God’s Love; All can plainly see. It will find rest today, for we will offer what we have received. So gladly do We share Our Gifts from God with All Our Others, for We are so grateful to have been freed by Our forgiveness.

Today I learn the law of love; that what I give my brother is my brother is my gift to me.

This law can be well described as perfect reciprocity. What I give My Brother is automatically a gift to Me as well. Why? Because I now have it. Without having it, how could I give it? Perfection lives in its simplicity.

¹ This is Your law, my Father, not my own. It goes far beyond My Dreamer greediness to get – and get more – instead of give. I did not understand what giving means and thought to save what I desired for myself alone. And as I looked upon the treasure that I thought I had, I found an empty place where nothing ever was or is or will be. This always is the result of getting: Dreamers prized and fruitless occupation.. Who can share a dream? And what can an illusion offer me? Yet he whom I forgive will give me gifts beyond the worth of anything on earth. For through Him I have really learned to Love. Let my forgiven brothers fill my store with Heaven’s treasures, which alone are real. Now You’ve made it plural Brother! You’re pushing it! Sister, everything I say and do has Your welfare at heart Belovèd. Yours and everyOne’s. For I Love You All so very dearly. Thus is the law of love fulfilled. And thus Your Son arises and returns to You.  And Who is the Father’s Son but the grand Reality of All of Us as One.

² How near we are to one another, as we go to God. All of Us is One: the belovèd Son. How near is He to us. For the Son must be always One with Our omnipresent God. How close the ending of the dream of sin and the redemption of the Son of God. Closer than Your breath; nearer than Your heart. Thus is Communion holy with Our God.

I am not asked to make a sacrifice, to find the mercy and the peace of God.

It is not sacrifice that shows Us God, rather it is perfect joy that’s needed! For God and happiness are synonyms. All God’s synonyms are good and happy. Such is His Nature, which is True You too!

¹ The end of suffering cannot be loss. The gift of everything can but be gain. You only give, belovèd Father. You never take away. And You created me to be like You, so sacrifice becomes impossible for me as well as You. I too must give, and so all things are given unto me forever and forever. The more I give, the larger My supply. As I was created, I remain. Your Son can make no sacrifice, for he must be complete, having the function of completing You. Just as the Rays complete the Sun, the Son completes His Father.  I am complete because I am Your Son. I cannot lose, for I can only give. And everything is mine eternally. What can it be but Love  that I both do give and do receive?

² The mercy and the peace of God are free. Freely We have received, freely We give. Salvation has no cost. Salvation is God’s Gift of eternal Life, and holy understanding of the Truth and unselfish Love. It is a gift that must be freely given and received, and it is this that we would learn today. How to freely give, and how to freely receive: two things must be understood.

I let forgiveness rest upon all things, —as I ask God to show Me what is their true Reality, —

For thus forgiveness will be given me, as I understand My Reality.

¹ I thank You, Father, for Your plan to save me from the hell I made. From which there seemed no escape but dying. It is not real. To learn this has made all the difference. And You have given me the means to prove its unreality to me. The key is in my hand, yet I’ve hardly seemed to understand how to truly forgive which was resistance; and I have reached the door beyond which lies the end of dreams. Help Me be willing! Open in Me a little willingness for which You have asked. I stand before the gate of Heaven, wondering if I should enter in and be at home. Dear God help Me to be willing to see Your Reality. Let me not wait again today, not waste another day willfully guided by the ego. Let me forgive all things, (start with My mindset) and let creation be as You would have it be and as it is. Let me remember that I am Your Son, so loved by You and loving every One, and opening the door at last, which leads to Heaven, forget illusions in the blazing light of truth, as memory of You returns to me. Can it really be so very simple? To just be willing?

It is dear Sister. It is dear Brother. The directions are so very simple. Every One of You knows with whom to start.

 

² Brother, forgive me now. For I mis-saw You, thinking You to somehow be enemy. Now I see clearly through My willingness. I come to you to take you home with me. I give You My hand. And as we go, the world goes with us on the way to God. We’re All coming Home!

I can attack but my own sinlessness – by attacking I would then seem to sin, hiding gentleness – And it is only that which keeps me safe.

Keeps Me free from ego comparisons; which are views that hide innocence with sin.

¹ Father, Your Son is holy. Once I know this for sure about Myself, I’ll know it easily for My Brothers, every single one. I am he on whom You smile in love and tenderness so deep and dear and still the universe smiles back on You and shares Your holiness. This is a Universe of Love, despite the human picture. How pure, how safe, how sacred then are we, –  how precious to Thee; how very holy – abiding in Your smile, with all Your Love bestowed upon us, how wonderful to be Your Son, Your One, living one with You in brotherhood and Fatherhood complete, in sinlessness so perfect that the Lord of Sinlessness conceives us as His Son, a universe of Thought completing Him. There is a magnitude to this quite beyond comprehension.

 

² Let us not then attack our sinlessness, – but, instead, rejoice! Be grateful in it! – for it contains the Word of God to us, and in its kind reflection we are saved.  This is not just what We could be, but is what We really are.

I can be free of suffering today.

No more hoping for a better tomorrow.  All good there is is now, and Mine for the willingness I have to receive it.

The good is always here for good God is omnipresent; not so the willingness! Help Me change My attitude dear Father.

¹ Father, I thank You for today and for the freedom I am certain it will bring. The possibilities are Infinite in every instant. This day is holy, for today Your Son will be redeemed. Redeemed by Your Love. His suffering is done. At any moment now He can let go of it. Suffering clings not to Him; He clings to it. For he will hear Your Voice directing him to find Christ’s vision through forgiveness and be free forever from all suffering. Let go Your grudges and You’ll find relief; they but drag You down. Thanks for today, my Father. I was born into this world but to achieve this day – to end so many eons of relentless belief in it; that’s its one purpose: to be freed from it – and what it holds in joy and freedom for Your holy Son and for the world he made, which is released along with him today. The world will bring You joy only as You are released from it!

 

² Be glad today! Be glad! It is Your day of liberation, if You but accept it. There is no room for anything but joy and thanks today. And such amazing gratitude for God. Our Father has redeemed His Son this day! We All are that Son redeemed by God’s Eternal Love for Us. Not one of us but will be saved today. EveryOne is joyfully included. Not one who will remain in fear, and none the Father will not gather to Himself, awake in Heaven in the Heart of Love. Each One of Us so tenderly embraced.

I will receive whatever I request.

Let Me watch carefully for what I ask. Yet, Brother, if this is true, then where is My million dollars?

Lost in an attachment to poverty; You’re just unaware. Remember, in the dream, ego runs Your show, unless You can say “No!” and mean it.

¹ No one desires pain. Well, not consciously. But he can think that pain is pleasure. No one would avoid his happiness. But he can think that joy is painful, threatening, and dangerous. So much is wired up in victimhood; especially with God as the villain. Everyone will receive what he requests. You’re not victim to Your life, but author. But he can be confused indeed about the things he wants, the state he would attain. What can he then request that he would want when he receives it? He has asked for what will frighten him and bring him suffering. This is why You all have chosen dreaming; it’s so full of pain and different from Reality and God. We have been quite deliberately confused. Let us resolve today to ask for what we really want, and only this, that we may spend this day in fearlessness, without confusing pain with joy or fear with love. You have been so afraid of happiness, that You might lose it; so You have avoided it completely! How typical of ego reasoning.

² Father, this is Your day. I trust it to You and not the ego.  It is a day in which I would do nothing by myself but hear Your Voice in everything I do; I’ll constantly consult You in all things, requesting only what You offer me, accepting only thoughts You share with me. I gladly take Your wishes to be all of My desires.

LESSON THREE HUNDRED THIRTY-EIGHT

I am affected only by my thoughts.

What can this mean? What about My Brothers’ actions? Have they no effect on Me? Is that what You’re saying?

Yes, indeed, it is. They can have no effect on You unless You will them to. You can learn to disbelieve them, for nothing in the dream is true.

When You allow Me to Guide You, You release thinking; You have stepped without the dream.

¹ It needs but this to let salvation come to all the world, for but One Mind runs the Universe. For in this single thought is everyone released at last from fear, by a very simple change in thinking. Now he has learned that no one frightens him and nothing can endanger him. For all things are consciousness, not ‘matter’. And it is He who writes the script each day and every instant. He has no enemies, and he is safe from all external things. His thoughts can frighten him, but since these thoughts belong to him alone, he has the power to change them and exchange each fear thought for a happy thought of love. If You must watch or read the news, then this is Your assignment. He crucified himself. Yet God has planned that His beloved Son will be redeemed.  God’s Plan is a living resurrection.

 

² Your plan is sure, my Father—only Yours. All other plans will fail. Only You can cover every last detail in perfection. And I will have thoughts that will frighten me until I learn that You have given me the only thought which leads me to salvation. I must think only of Your Love for Me, and My Love for You, and by extension, all My Others too. Mine alone will fail and lead me nowhere. We cannot take Our thought apart from You, or We will stumble, most assuredly. But the thought You gave me promises to lead me home, – each step sure and steady, upheld safely by Your Love for Me and My Love for You – because it holds Your promise to Your Son. I will never leave You nor forsake You, My belovèd Son.

My sinlessness protects me from all harm.

For all I see is a world forgiven. How could it harm Me? All things are gentle, overflowing Love. … Nothing like the dream.

¹ My sinlessness ensures me perfect peace, eternal safety, everlasting love, freedom forever from all thought of loss, complete deliverance from suffering. This is the experience of Heaven, a state of mind where only Good is found. It is not a location, but an Awareness Conscious that only Good is Real; there’s no opposite. Reiterating this important fact: there is not – nor could there ever be – something to oppose it. Only Good is Real. And only happiness can be my state, for only happiness is given me. God’s Gifts always Good! What must I do to know all this is mine? It’s hard to believe that such Gifts are Mine by My acceptance. I must accept Atonement for myself and nothing more. God has already done all things that need be done. Truly God is synonym to Giving. And I must learn I need do nothing of myself, for I need but accept my Self, – God’s first Gift to Me! – my sinlessness, created for me, now already mine, to feel God’s Love protecting me from harm, to understand my Father loves His Son, to know I am the Son my Father loves. His Love is so amazing, freely and forever giving!

² You who created me in sinlessness – You Who are so gloriously Holy – are not mistaken about what I am.  Holy just like You.  I was mistaken when I thought I sinned, – what an awful nightmare, and now, thank God for this, it’s over – but I accept Atonement for myself. Father, – I am finally One again with You and All my Others – my dream is ended now, along with the awful experience of separation. How good Oneness feels. Amen.

Forgiveness lets me know that minds are joined.

Not just strung together loosely, but braided, intertwined in Love and harmony; many making One.

¹ Forgiveness is the means appointed for perception’s ending. Who can be in harmony – no, not Me! No, not possibly! – with anger spilling out against My Sisters and My Brothers. Even if They’ve done so much wrong to Me, I must forgive them, if I’d be set free. How can I forgive? By knowing this is nothing but a dream (albeit nightmare, and quite convincing!) And I must take the Holy Spirit’s word that I am dreaming. Knowledge is restored after perception first is changed –there is another way to look at this – and then gives way entirely to what remains forever past its highest reach. For sights and sounds at best can serve but to recall the memory that lies beyond them all. Love’s Reality. Forgiveness sweeps away distortions and opens the hidden altar to the truth. Forgiveness chooses Love, eschewing hate. Its lilies shine into the mind and call it to return and look within, to find what it has vainly sought without. For here and only here is peace of mind restored, for this the dwelling-place of God Himself. For God is Consciousness, not a body; Mind that knows all Real We, too, are Consciousness instead of body. So perfect health comes from perfect thinking. My mind must be in harmony with God.

² In quiet may forgiveness wipe away my dreams of separation and of sin. Help Me let them go Belovèd Father. Free them from within. Then let me, Father, look within – into a mind washed fresh and clean by Love, Itself so happy! – and find Your promise of my sinlessness is kept; – You see Me perfect; perfect I must be! – Your Word remains unchanged within my mind; Your Love is still abiding in my heart. Things are just the same as they’ve always been, in Reality, their Substance: Spirit.

Finally freed from grudges, I can see them, as They really are. How beautiful are My dearest Others.

I choose to see my brother’s sinlessness.

The alternative is to condemn Him. and Jesus says: “Do unto Others as You would be done to.” This sure does seem the fairest thing to do; for I do not want to be condemned too.

While it makes sense to Me, it’s just hard to do without Your help, belovèd Brother.

Dear Sisters and dear Brothers, I am here to help You. I will not go away; for I am here in the dream to stay ‘til We All are Awakened. Trust now what I say, and lean into My words throughout Your day: You are not alone.

 

¹ Forgiveness is a choice. Let Me choose it now. I never see my brother as he is, for that is far beyond perception. I see Him but through the lens with which I choose to see for Me. What I see in him is merely what I wish to see because it stands for what I want to be the truth. I have already chosen what I want to see: it is the ego’s choice for Me, and, therefore, not really My choice at all. It is to this alone that I respond, however much I seem to be impelled by outside happenings. I choose to see what I would look upon, and this I see and only this. Now I understand: My old thoughts are responsible for dreams. Therefore, it is quite imperative that I change My thinking. I will choose again, as You ask Us too. This time with Your help, dear Elder Brother. My brother’s sinlessness shows me that I would look upon my own. Since He is holy, I am holy too, for We are Brothers. And I will see it, having chosen to behold my brother in its holy light. In blessing Him this way, I bless Myself as well, for We are One with each Other.

Belovèd Brothers, We All are holy. Thanks be unto God.

 

² What could restore Your memory to me except to see my brother’s sinlessness? When I will to see with the loving eyes of God, then I see My Brother holy. His holiness reminds me that he was created one with me and like myself. And with joy I remember that there is no separation. In him I find my Self, – I know We are One – and in Your Son I find the memory of You as well. And I am at peace.

Today I claim the gifts forgiveness gives.

A bounty better than the gifts We give and get at Christmas. For in forgiveness is Christ reborn in each Holy Instant. Reborn so happily as You and Me.  We shall forever Love One Another.

¹ I will not wait another day to find the treasures which my Father offers me. They must be right here. For My treasures can’t be distant from Me. To see them, I must – right here now – cease to believe illusions. Illusions must be vain and dreams are gone, even while they are woven out of thoughts that rest on false perception. Just like the whole dream. Let me not accept such meager gifts again today. Straying from Reality it always must be poverty. God’s Voice is offering the peace of God to all who hear and choose to follow Him. Peace is on beyond the greatest riches. This is my choice today. And so I go to find the treasures God has given me, which I have ignored. For I’m ready now to pay atttetion.

² I seek but the eternal, that which is lasting. For Your Son can be content with nothing less than this. What need has the Son with a so-called “life” which includes dying. Absolutely none! What then can be his solace but what You are offering to his bewildered mind and frightened heart, to give him certainty and bring him peace? He can clearly feel the Love behind Your unspoken feelings of forgiveness, as chains drop from his heart, and it swings open. Free is He to Love. The desert of His heart gladly has become the greeenest vale. No death happens here in this Place of Life, blessed by forgiveness. Love can never die. It is eternal.Today I would behold my brother sinless. This Your Will for me, for thus will I behold my sinlessness. For His innocence includes Me as well. Remember! Minds are Joined.

Forgiveness ends the dream of conflict here.

Without grudges there can be no argument, no lack of harmony among Us.  As harmony is synonym to peace, where peace is there must be only Heaven.

¹ Conflict must be resolved. Don’t make an effort to avoid it;  nor dance or run with it, just see it clearly and quite fearlessly. It cannot be evaded, set aside, denied, disguised, seen somewhere else, called by another name, nor hidden by deceit of any kind if it would be escaped. There must be healing. Always that’s the goal. It must be seen exactly as it is, where it is thought to be, in the reality which has been given it, and with the purpose that the mind accorded it. The mind sees conflict for its own reasons. It serves some purpose. This purpose, thus, must be revealed to You, by attention to the Holy Spirit. It is good to know – when in the hell of dreams – that there is Light at the tunnel’s end, For only then are its defenses lifted and the truth can shine upon it as it disappears. When the Light is come, – come really fully – there is end to darkness and to tunnels. For Light assuredly is Substance for all Reality.

 

² Father, forgiveness is the light You chose – with Your great wisdom – to shine away all conflict and all doubt and light the way for our return to You. Always You are here; We have just been blind. For, truly, this journey has no distance. Simply change Your mind: exchanging ego for the Mind of Christ. It’s very simple, once willingness is present in Your mind. If You will to, You can allow it now. No light but this can end our evil dreams. Imagine freedom from this ego hell! No light but this can save the world. There’s no other way. Let this truth sink in. … … For this alone will never fail in anything, being Your gift to Your beloved Son. Of whom I am One, with All My Others.

Fear binds the world. Forgiveness sees it free.

Will You now help Me free the world from fear? All You need to do today is summarily dismiss all the grievances, You hold, the ones against Your sinning Brothers.  Evil do They seem; their ‘sins’ multiplied in unrepentance.

Yet can You heal them. How They do long for Your forgiveness to refresh them in the desert of their sins. They are parched for Love. “Father, forgive them, for They know not what They do.”₁ This is true.

Forgiveness costs You nothing but self-righteousness. And Your reward is peace of mind.

¹ The ego makes illusions. That’s its speciality; lies are all it knows. Truth undoes its evil dreams by shining them away. Its Light glorious, It pours from Heaven, illuminating all God’s Good long hidden by the ego. Truth never makes attack. It merely is. And by its presence is the mind recalled from fantasies, awaking to the Real, which has stood waiting, oh so patiently, for the Son of God to soon awaken. Forgiveness bids this presence enter in and take its rightful place within the mind. The place of healing. Without forgiveness is the mind in chains, believing in its own futility. Repeating endlessly its insane cycling of birth and death and birth and death, on and on, and on and on, continually, ad nauseum. You get the picture. Yet with forgiveness does the light shine through the dream of darkness, offering it hope and giving it the means to realize the freedom that is its inheritance. Oh the joy of being freed from going round and round, and round again, in circles.

² We would not bind the world again today, but give it freedom from Our strange beliefs. Fear holds it prisoner. If We but knew how, We would release it. And yet Your Love has given us the means to set it free. Gladly We use it! Father, we would release it now, and wait no longer. For as we offer freedom, it is given us. We get what We give, so let Us give good. And we would not remain as prisoners while You hold out our freedom unto us. For now do We gratefully accept it! Thank You belovèd Father-Mother God.

There is no conflict, for my will is Yours.

“In God We Trust” describes it all for Me. For nothing else could have such constancy.

¹ How foolish, Father, to believe Your Son could cause himself to suffer! How insane this dream! Could he make a plan for his damnation and be left without a certain way to his release? We can Awaken from this nightmare now! You love me, Father. I can feel Your Love, even as I dream! We’re not forsaken! You could never leave me – nor any Other – desolate, to die within a world of pain and cruelty. You are ever here, as My saving Grace. How could I think that Love has left Itself? Ever-caring is the holy nature of Your Love for Me and All My Others. There is no will except the Will of Love. I will accept Love; It is Life Itself for Me, forever.  Fear is a dream and has no will that can conflict with Yours. I need Awaken! Conflict is sleep, and peace awakening. I need Awaken. Death is illusion; life, Eternal Truth. There is no opposition to Your Will. There is no conflict, for my will is Yours. I choose Life today

² Forgiveness shows us that God’s Will is one and that we share it. For His Will is Love, and Love’s Vision sees but Innocence wherever It may look. Let us look upon the holy sights forgiveness shows today – as We see Others through eyes of Love, incapable of any condemnation – that we may find the peace of God, through lack of judgment.  For minus judgment, all there is is Love. Amen.

I will not hurt myself again today.

What do You mean? It isn’t Me, it’s He, My hateful Brother! Surely You can see, Jesus, how very wrong He’s been to Me!  He needs to forgive Me, for His insane imaginations!

What’s that You’re saying? That He’s My mirror and what I see of He directly reflects right back to Me. So I need to change, both behavior as well as vision. …

Oh, I think I see: It is only My own vision able to bring harm to Me.

¹ Let us this day accept forgiveness as our only function. Forgive Myself is what I need to do, and – when that is done – then do I find that I have now forgiven all My Others. Why should we attack our minds and give them images of pain, when forgiveness does but eliminate all painful pictures? We can just forgive; it is so simple! Why should we teach them they are powerless when God holds out His power and His Love and bids them take what is already theirs? Our minds filled with Love, which is natural. The mind that is made willing to accept God’s gifts – beginning with what else but forgiveness! – has been restored to Spirit and extends its freedom and its joy, as is the Will of God united with its own. There is but One Will, which We share with God. The Self which God created cannot sin and therefore cannot suffer. For there also is but One Self, which We gladly share with God! What does this do but end separation! This is the healing. Let us choose today that He be our identity – as Reality, He is already – and thus escape forever from all things the dream of fear appears to offer us. What is the end of fear, but Heaven; not a place, but a state.

² Father, Your Son cannot be hurt. For You are ever-present Be-ing Him. And if we think we suffer, we but fail to know our one Identity we share with You. You are Our Revealer, not the ego. We would return to It today, to be made free forever from all our mistakes and to be saved from what we thought we were.  Those thoughts We had brought endless nightmares, and now We’re being healed! Sing hallelujah!

I have already chosen what You will.

It is the perfect remedy for the ego nightmare that has been encouraged and allowed by Me.

¹ Father, I thought I wandered from Your Will, defied it, broke its laws, and interposed a second will more powerful than Yours. In My arrogance I actually believed that I could do such insanity! And so I got lost in awful nightmares in which I’ve seemed trapped. Now I have turned to You with all My heart.  I’m seeking freedom, although lost in dreams. Yet what I am in truth is but Your Will, extended and extending. I hear You say I have not changed the Truth of Me, nor could I ever harm Myself in Reality. This am I. And this will never change. You are One Power, always for My Good. As You are One, so am I one with You. And this I chose in my creation, where my will became forever one with Yours. It can never be undone; as this Truth, so stands My safety. It is a permanent, part of each One of God’s Ideas (of which I am One). That choice was made for all eternity. It cannot change and be in opposition to itself. Eons of seeming endless ego dreams have no reality but My belief, My demand for dreams. I will change My mind! Now is not too soon! Father, my will is Yours. And I am safe, untroubled and serene in endless joy because it is Your Will that it be so. I can make this choice and never vacillate from it, for You’re the only Power.

 

² Today we will accept our union with each other and our Source. So many of Us have believed that We were separate and lost and trapped in dreams. And We didn’t know that We could waken! Well We surely can! No need to delay! We have no will apart from His, and all of us are one because His Will is shared by all of us. Bye-bye loneliness, now and forever. Through it we recognize that we are one. Angst and anguish gone, never to return; replaced with Our permanent belonging. Through it we find our way at last to God, God, Our happiness, is Ours forever.

I chooses the second place to gain the first.

True freedom comes only when We defer to God, Guidance, and the Holy Spirit.

There’s no hardship there; it’s very simple.

¹ What seems to be the second place is first, for all things we perceive are upside down until we listen to the Voice of God. Listening to God brings th’only power. It seems that we will gain autonomy but by our striving to be separate and that our independence from the rest of God’s creation is the way in which salvation is obtained. Yet has it been shown for eons that separation is but a loss of power. Still cling We to myths of ‘independence!’ Yet all we find is sickness, suffering and loss, and death. So much of nothing for independence! This is not what our Father wills for us, – for He joyously gives Us the Kingdom – nor is there any second to His Will: God the Head of All. To join with His is but to find our own. The great correction for separation. And since our will is His, it is to Him that we must go to recognize our will. How beautifully this realization ends the separation.

 

² There is no will but Yours. And I so gladly yield to Its benefits. And I am glad that nothing I imagine contradicts what You would have me do. That imagination would be ego. It is Your Will that I be wholly safe, eternally at peace. And happily I share that Will which You, my Father, gave as part of me. In sharing Will with You, We move as One, an exquisite dance, and one quite joyous.

LESSON THREE HUNDRED TWENTY-SEVEN

I need but call and You will answer me.

Could there be words sweeter to the ears, or more reassuring? None that I have heard. We have a God of Love, ever-caring, always attentive; waiting for Our call, should We need some help.

Could the sun forget or lose a ray? No! Never! For sun and rays are always One.  Just so is the Son always One with God; no separation. For Immanuel means truly God as Us; it stands for such Oneness with Our Source, perhaps beyond Your understanding now. Yet is It available to You when You desire It. For what else but Oneness could truly end the separation?

All You need then is the willingness to stop the dreams and move Your mind back to the Consciousness of God. It is that simple. It’s called waking up!

You wake from Your sleeping dreams every day.  Now will to wake, as well, from waking ones. All You need – to start – is that little willingness for which I have asked You!  Would You give it now, to God?

 

¹ I am not asked to take salvation on the basis of an unsupported faith. I need not be afraid of what long ago became so very unfamiliar, through My choice alone. For God has promised He will hear my call and answer me Himself. Truth is His Nature. Let me but learn from my experience that this is true, and faith in Him must surely come to me. It’s here already as I allow My Self to feel His dear Love embracing Me. This is the faith that will endure and take me farther and still farther on the road that leads to Him. I can trust His Love, forever present. For thus I will be sure that He has not abandoned me and loves me still, awaiting but my call to give me all the help I need to come to Him. The sun has yet to lose a ray; nor could God lose ever any One of His dearly belovèd Sons, of Whom I am One.

 

² Father, I thank You that Your promises will never fail in my experience if I but test them out. Your forgiveness and Your faithfulness are solid ground on which I stand when beset by foolish fears coming from the ego. Let me attempt therefore to try them and to judge them not, but be delighted. Your Word is one with You. I’m One, too, with You! You give the means whereby conviction comes, and surety of Your abiding Love is gained at last. And I am awake and Home again, as if I’d never left. In Truth, I didn’t. And that Truth – from dreaming now – can free Me.

I am forever an effect of God.

He is constant Life – streaming endlessly – and His Be-ing is forever Be-ing Me, continually, with absolutely no interruption. He is but My cause; there is no other. My cause is not conception and gestation, which are but parts of ego dreaming. My God is My Cause; I have no other, nor do I need one.

It’s important here to be emphatic, if One would awaken from the dream mythology to right Now Eternal Life.

¹ Father, I was created in Your Mind, – revealed as an Idea; substance: thought! – a holy Thought that never left its home. And this is why I am not a body. I am forever Your Effect, and You forever and forever are my Cause. And this has been always; long before the dreams were incepted. As You created me, – are eternally creating Me – I have remained. Where You established me, I still abide, – alive in mind, never ever in non-existent ‘matter’ –and all Your attributes abide in me –as Me for they are My very Substance – because it is Your Will to have a Son so like his Cause that Cause and Its Effect are indistinguishable, like Rays and the Sun, for they are but One. Let me know that I am an Effect of God, and so I have the power to create like You. Here We’ll say reveal for Reality does not begin; nor does It ever end.  Mind and Its Ideas are Eternal. And as it is in Heaven, so on earth. For there can be no separation, only misperception. God still is God no matter how We think. Your plan I follow here, and at the end I know that You will gather Your Effects – the Real We all do result from You – into the tranquil Heaven of Your Love, where earth will disappear and separate thoughts unite in glory as the Son of God. Your belovèd Son of God: each One of Us makes up the Son.

² Let us today behold earth disappear, – the solid sense of it –at first transformed, to a place of Love, and then, forgiven, fade entirely into such lovely Spirit, God’s holy Will.

All things I think I see reflect ideas.

Some of kindness, and some of cruelty. The difference is discerned by the results.

¹ This is salvation’s keynote: What I see reflects a process in my mind which starts with my idea of what I want. Pay attention here. There are no victims.  Yes, there seem to be. Remember, though, that this world is an illusion, a phantasmagoria indeed; one You have chosen to believe. You have made Your choice. Notice that it happens first within Your mind. Perhaps just from some random thoughts You had, or they might have been quite deliberate. From there, the mind makes up an image of the thing the mind desires, judges valuable, and therefore seeks to find. The mind is author, projecter and publisher, and, ultimately all of the characters as well. These images are then projected outward, looked upon, esteemed as real, and guarded as one’s own. From insane wishes comes an insane world. Don’t like the world You’re seeing? Then simply change Your own thinking! From judgment comes a world condemned. It waits for You to simply change Your mind. And from forgiving thoughts a gentle world comes forth, with mercy for the holy Son of God, to offer him a kindly home where he can rest a while before he journeys on and help his brothers walk ahead with him and find the way to Heaven and to God. Is this appealing? Then let it be Your motive for Your interactions with each One of Your Brothers. They await Your help.

² Our Father, Your Ideas reflect the truth, – They are Its living Presence, expressed throughout Infinity – and mine apart from Yours but make up dreams, in comparison tiny, limited, inconsequential, and not even real. Let me behold what only Yours reflect, for Yours and Yours alone establish truth, and are amazing.

I merely follow, for I would not lead.

How could I lead, when I don’t know the way? So I put My trust in Holy Spirit. He knows the Way Home, and gently leads Me! Gladly I follow, for I do trust Her quite implicitly (For Me, Holy Spirit is a She; for You, it may be He).  S/He is Our Father’s magnificent and precious Gift to Us; Our Real Mind kept so carefully for Us until We are ready to reclaim It.

¹ Father, You are the One Who gave the plan for my salvation to me. Your Gift fills Me with gratitude for You. You have set the way I am to go, the role to take, and every step in my appointed path is marked out for Me, as I ask Your Son to show Me Your way. I cannot lose the way. I can but choose to wander off a while and then return. So in Your great Love for Me, You have sent Your Son to be My loving Companion. He shows Me how to hear Your Voice today, and how to always listen, even when I stray. Your loving Voice will always call me back and guide my feet aright. ForYou truly are My Father-Mother. My brothers all can follow in the way I lead them. Yet I merely follow in the way to You as You direct me and would have me go. Let all Creation be now revealed in harmony with You.

 

² So let us follow One Who knows the way. We need not tarry, and we cannot stray except an instant from His loving hand. We walk together, for we follow Him. Your belovèd Son has come into the dream to lead Us out from Our own nightmares, and We are grateful. And it is He Who makes the ending sure and guarantees a safe returning home. He knows the way, for He has trod the path before and triumphed over death with His victory of Life. How happily does He show Me His way. And how very gratefully I follow!

I gladly make the “sacrifice” of fear.

Who would not give up false evidence appearing real to them?  How can I say that?  There seem to be so many things to fear? Because I’m dreaming. I know that theoretically, and fear still seems real to Me. I need to waken! Why is it so hard?

Dreaming has become a strong addiction. And these lessons are like meetings of Dreamers Anonymous!

¹ Here is the only “sacrifice” You ask of Your beloved Son—You ask him to give up all suffering, all sense of loss and sadness, all anxiety and doubt – in other words, His relentless dreaming –  and freely let Your Love come streaming in to his awareness, healing him of pain and giving him Your own eternal joy. How I Love those words! “Your Love come streaming in to … awareness! Such is the “sacrifice” You ask of me, and one I gladly make, the only “cost” of restoration of Your memory to me for the salvation of the world. Your Love isn’t ‘cost’; It’s tremendous Gift!

 

² And as we pay the debt we owe to truth—a debt which merely is the letting-go of self-deceptions and of images we worshipped falsely—truth returns to us in wholeness and in joy. You see, this job is not that hard: let Us exchange pain for joy! We are deceived no longer. All We need do now is to change Our minds! Give the willingness. Love has now returned to our awareness. This is quiet Mind. And we are at peace again, for fear has gone and only love remains. Where fear was synonym to pain, Love is synonym to peace. And how good peace feels.

I can give up but what was never real.

As it appears that what I thought reality to be was but endless dreaming.

¹ I sacrifice illusions, nothing more. Although they’ve seemed so real to Me, and so compelling, they’re but idle fantasies. I can let them go. And as illusions go, I find the gifts illusions tried to hide, – God’s Reality – awaiting me in shining welcome and in readiness to give God’s ancient messages to me. Each one a Love song gently given Me. How could I have forgotten how He loves Me? Traded real Love for the awful ego. Pure insanity. His memory abides in every gift that I receive of Him. His Love is the best. What made Me ever choose the ego? I must have been insane. And now I’m waking. And every dream serves only to conceal the Self which is God’s only Son, the likeness of Himself, the Holy One who still abides in Him forever, as He still abides in me. Holy Self – belovèd Son – now is the One I choose to be. Dear God, please help Me.

 

² Father, to You all sacrifice remains forever inconceivable. You just want Me Home. And so I cannot sacrifice except in dreams. So what I will do is to Awaken! As You created me, I will always be; I can give up nothing You gave me. What You did not give has no reality. Love is Your great forever Gift to Me. What loss can I anticipate except the loss of fear and the return of Love into my mind? I need not fear, for You are always kind.

Father, my freedom is in you alone.

Isn’t that the Truth! All other things I might desire bring Me only bondage. Freedom is Your Gift to the Sons of God. We need accept it.

 

¹ I did not understand what made me free nor what my freedom is nor where to look to find it. I thought it came in self-indulgence. I found that that was wrong! It comes from giving. Father, I have searched in vain until I heard Your Voice directing me. What a great relief. No need to make my ‘own’ ddecisions! Glory hallelujah! Now I would guide myself no more. Oh! So relaxing. No need any more to be in control. For I have neither made nor understood the way to find my freedom. But I trust in You. It feels really good! Even if I’m Be-ing repetitious! You Who endowed me with my freedom as Your holy Son will not be lost to me. We’re One forever. Your Voice directs me. And now I listen! And the way to You is opening and clear to me at last. Father, my freedom is in You alone. Now have I learned that golden, lovely Truth. Father, it is my will that I return, not just to You but to My Right Mind too.

² Today we answer for the world, which will be freed along with us. Consciousness is One. How glad are we to find our freedom through the certain way our Father has established. Thanks be to God for all His loving Gifts. How much He loves Us. And how sure is all the world’s salvation when we learn our freedom can be found in God alone. For it is in Mind, and, thus, forever.

My Father gives all power unto me.

Huh! What does this mean? I’m not You, Jesus! … You’re saying that What You are, I am, for there is but One Son; and just like You, I am Part of this One.

And every Part – despite appearances – is – must be – Holy. It’s a new way for Me to think of Me.

¹ The Son of God is limitless. Here comes another stretch for Me! “Limitless” means I’m not stuck in a body, eventually to die, but I am Life, eternally expressed; right here and right now, as I allow It. There are no limits on his strength, his peace, his joy, or any attributes his Father gave in his creation. “Unlimited”. I need Your help to understand what this really means! For I am on beyond confused! What he wills with his Creator and Redeemer must be done. This is very different than dreaming, doing as I please. That must be why I’m so attached to it! Truly addicted. I wish there were a “Dreams Anonymous” to help Me break this habit. … You’re saying that there is, sweet Jesus; and You are It! And this “He” of Whom You’re speaking just happens to be Me, Whoever Me is listening presently. His holy will can never be denied – in other words, that’s My will that’s Holyl  Indeed it is, Sisters, Brothers; these Lessons are extremely personal, and have but one Purpose: that is to Waken You – because his Father shines upon his mind and lays before it all the strength and love in earth and Heaven. The Lessons are to open up the dark curtains of Your mind, letting in Love’s Light! Yes, it is to All of You I speak, for the Father sent Me to Awaken You. I am he to whom all this is given. I am he in whom the power of my Father’s Will abides. For I am His Son, with All My Others. All of Us are One!

² Your Will can do all things in me – let Me allow It! – and then extend to all the world as well through me. There is no limit on Your Will. And so all power has been given to Your Son. Who must remember always that S/He is One with every One!

I came for the salvation of the world.

I am here for a purpose, although I knew it not before this very instant! I’m here to save the world. For two thousand years, no-One else has volunteered. (Not that I remember jumping up and saying “I’ll do it!” Only that You say I am Brother.)

¹ Here is a thought from which all arrogance has been removed, and only truth is left. A simple statement, based on willingness. For arrogance opposes truth. Arrogance is born of ego, while true humility comes straight from God, from Love.  Arrogance is the opposite of Love, doing what it wants. But where there is no arrogance, the truth will come immediately and fill up the space the ego left unoccupied by lies. Let’s make room for Truth within Our minds, which will become once again unlimited. Only the ego can be limited, and therefore it must seek for aims which are curtailed and limiting. The ego thinks that what one gains totality must lose. And yet it is the Will of God I learn that what one gains is given unto all. Unselective Love of all My Others – i.e. impartial – is the only way to total freedom. Let Me choose Love now; no more delaying by holding on to outdated grudges! What makes a grudge outdated: unwillingness to let it go!

² Father, Your Will is total. And the goal that stems from it shares its totality. What aim but the salvation of the world could You have given me (and All My Others)? And what but this could be the Will my Self has shared with You? Do I really think there is another goal but to remember You! There surely isn’t! Nor is there another way but Love which leads to forgiveness!

In me salvation’s means and end are one.

For in Me they do come to fruition, as this is His plan for My salvation. I need be willing to exit the dream. My part in it is but to give My wholehearted willingness and do what that takes.

¹ In me, God’s holy Son, – that is What I am – are reconciled – brought in harmony; harmony in Me – all parts of Heaven’s plan to save the world. What could conflict when all the parts have but one purpose and one aim? How could there be a single part that stands aside or one of more or less importance than the rest? All Sons are equal. One’s willingness must become everyOne’s, for it is the Truth. I am the means by which God’s Son is saved because salvation’s purpose is to find the sinlessness which God has placed in me. To understand the sinlessness of One is to understand it for everyOne. Do You see the problems in Your world? Here is the solution. I was created as the thing I seek. I am already what I wish I were. I am the goal the world is searching for. I am God’s Son, His one Eternal Love. I am He just as anyOne can be, for God Loves Us All. I am salvation’s means and end as well. This is what I must and have accepted.

² Let me today, my Father take the role You offer me in Your request that I accept atonement for myself. Let Me be willing to not only accept – but also to gladly embrace – Atonement for Myself. For thus is what is thereby reconciled in me become as surely reconciled to You. Harmony in Me must thus come from My Harmony with Thee.

I follow in the way appointed me.

Like a missing puzzle piece, the picture is just incomplete without every One. And each One of Us is One of “every”!

¹ I have a special place to fill—a role for me alone. This Truth for every One of Us surely bears repetition, until It unfolds in Its fruition! Salvation waits until I take this part as what I choose to do. It brings Me freedom. Until I make this choice, I am the slave of time and human destiny. A fate that leads but to human ‘dying’. Why would You choose that? Make this different choice: But when I willingly and gladly go the way my Father’s plan appointed me to go, – to such a Heavenly experience, right here and right now – then will I recognize salvation is already here, already given all my brothers and already mine as well. Freely it has been given, freely will I now receive it.

 

² Father, Your way is what I choose today. There is no other. Where it would lead me, do I choose to go; what it would have me do, I choose to do. For I so trust You. Your way is certain and the end secure. You Love Us so much! The memory of You awaits me there, – so faint now in My mind, yet full of longing – and all my sorrows end in Your embrace, which You have promised to Your Son, who thought mistakenly that he had wandered from the sure protection of Your loving arms. This long, long nightmare is almost over! It waits but on My willingness to now be re-Awakened.

All gifts I give my brothers are my own.

I understand now what St.Francis meant: that in giving, We receive. For to give We must already have to have something to give. Thus must We learn Love to give It.

¹ As every gift my brothers give is mine, – yet remains for them – so every gift I give belongs to me. These gifts must be Love. Each one allows a past mistake to go and leave no shadow on the holy mind my Father loves. What but forgiveness has this power? Nothing else; forgiveness does correct the past giving everyOne a spotless present. His grace is given me in every gift a brother has received throughout all time and past all time as well. What does this teach but understanding Oneness with All Others.  Have I a problem with My Brother? Let Me correct My mind. Let it be spotless. My treasure house is full, and angels watch its open doors that not one gift is lost and only more are added. Let me come to where my treasures are – safe in my Right Mind – and enter in where I am truly welcome and at home among the gifts that God has given me.  Consciousness unburdened by the ego, coming uninterrupted, straight from God: His Reality.

² Father, I would accept Your gifts today.  For they have Value because they are Yours. The Bible tells Us that all good Gifts come from You;₁ this is true. I do not recognize them.  I need instruction. Yet I trust that You Who gave them will provide the means by which I can behold them, see their worth, and cherish only them as what I want.  For this, We have been given ears to hear within and eyes to read without, Our every question answered, just as Our Elder Brother said: Seek and You will find. Knock and it will be opened.

All gifts my brothers give belong to me.

Yes, You’ve grasped My point here very quickly. All gifts belong to each One of Us, for there is but one universal Knowing and but One Sonship. What We know, We must then know together.  Why is this? For We All are Part of God, and, therefore, holy.

¹ Each day a thousand treasures come to me with every passing moment. Things of which I have been unaware for eons, for I had forgotten Oneness. I am blessed with gifts throughout the day, in value far beyond all things of which I can conceive. Each Brother, and each Sister, is an amazing Gift to Me. A brother smiles upon another, and my heart is gladdened. No goodness anywhere can ever be unnoticed by Me. Someone speaks a word of gratitude or mercy, and my mind perceives this gift and takes it as its own. This is a consequence of “Love Your Neighbour as Yourself” because S/He is Yourself. And everyone who finds the way to God becomes my savior, pointing out the way to me and giving me his certainty that what he learned is surely mine as well. The Christ is everyOne I see, and the Christ is also Me.

² I thank You, Father, for the many gifts that come to me today and every day from every Son of God. Thank You for Oneness. My brothers are unlimited in all their gifts to me. And I in mine to them. Now may I offer them my thankfulness that gratitude to them may lead me on to my Creator and His memory. As Reality continues to unfold Itself to Me.

I seek a future different from the past.

Lord, please help it be! Do this thing for Me.

Belovèd Sister, with the greatest pleasure will I assist You in Awakening from this foolish dream! And not just You, but All Our Others too; for We are in this dream All together. Most are asleep, while a few of Us have wakened.

¹ From new perception of the world there comes a future very different from the past. And a past made new. First, though, We need but correct the Present. This will – obviously – correct the past. A new present means a different past. We seek one better, and it is granted; for God is but Love. The future now is recognized as but extension of the present. We leave the past behind when We are now. Past mistakes can cast no shadows on it, so that fear has lost its idols and its images, and being formless, it has no effects. We will not look back! Death will not claim the future now, for life is now its goal, and all the needed means are happily provided. Grateful now are We. Who can grieve or suffer when the present has been freed, – no longer joined to an unhappy past, but rather to such a peaceful present – extending its security and peace into a quiet future filled with hope? Great gratitude is rising up and spilling over.  And it’s blessing everyOne. The world now is made fresh and new by the miracle of Love. For a great and undreamed of Good has now come to stay; as goes the song: “not just for today, but always.”₁ My Love song here to You and everyOne.

It must be understood: Christ is not just for a few, S/He is but for everyOne!

² Father, we were mistaken in the past and choose to use the present to be free.  A peaceful, happy present does negate the worst of pasts. all Now do we leave the future in Your hands, – in peaceful, perfect trust that all is well and always will be – leaving behind our past mistakes – which were but nightmares; they were never real – and sure that You will keep Your present promises and guide the future in their holy light.  You are always present and always now.  For  this fact I am so very grateful.

Now let a new perception come to me.

A better, and a clearer way to see Thee and S/He and Me.

¹ Father, there is a vision which beholds all things as sinless, – It doesn’t see the ‘human’ picture, realizing that It is a dream; It looks instead to God (and not the ego) for Its every answer – so that fear has gone and where it was is love invited in. When disbelieving sin, Love rushes in! It’s cause and effect! And love will come wherever it is asked. You can count on this! This vision is Your gift. The eyes of Christ look on a world forgiven. The problem is, for ego-dom, this state of mind has been forgotten. Fortuitously God’s Solution: Christ is forever here reminding. For this Our gratitude does flow unbounded, like a rushing river spills its banks! In His sight are all its sins forgiven, – His Love, flowing, just washes them away – for He sees no sin in anything He looks upon. Christ is Truth, and Love is but Its Nature. Now let His true perception come to me – and renew My mind, that it be as His – that I may waken from the dream of guilt – ego lack of Love – and look within upon my sinlessness which You have kept completely undefiled upon the altar to Your holy Son, the Self with which I would identify. Upon this altar is the ego now sacrificed to Love, … and to Peace and Joy, Its concomitants.₁

² Let us today behold each other in the sight of Christ. How beautiful we are! How holy and how loving! How glorious Our God! Time to rejoice! Brother, come and join with me today. Let Us sing Our joyous praise to Our belovèd God, You and I, joined together. We save the world when we are joined. Bringing Christ to It! For in our vision it becomes as holy as the light in us. Let Us then have the sweet Will that comes from God to be Holy.

LESSON THREE HUNDRED-TWELVE

I see all things as I would have them be.

Not as God made them. Herein lies the entire problem with what We call the world: it is a deliberate delusion; quite far from happy.  Yet being Our miscreation, We’re loath to abandon it, so We pretend it is of God, calling Him Creator of this monstrosity.

Not so. He is the Author but of Good. This must be very clearly understood.

¹ Perception follows judgment. We see what We believe, sure that it’s ‘truth’. For We wish to believe in illusions. Yes, it is insane, most assuredly. Having judged, you therefore see what you would look upon. First comes the decision, then the vision. Yes, You heard Me right! You are right: this is the fulcrum₁ of the Course. This is the perfect word for My meaning. For sight can merely serve to offer you what you would have. Yes You got it; as in Science and Health.₂  For the ego mind sees what it believes as surely as it believes what it sees.₂ It is impossible to overlook what you would see and fail to see what you have chosen to behold. For the ego mindset absolutely rules You totally. You’ve not got ‘a mind of Your own’! Your mind is ruled by ego. How surely, therefore, must the real world come to greet the holy sight of anyone who takes the Holy Spirit’s purpose as his goal for seeing.  Think how different could be Your Vision.   And he cannot fail to look upon what Christ would have him see and share Christ’s love for what he looks upon. Just live that little willingness of which I ask for You; so diligently do.

 

² I have no purpose for today except to look upon a liberated world, set free from all the judgments I have made. To do this, what must I do, God, but ask of You, consistently: What is Truth here? – and heed Your answer. Father, this is Your Will for me today, – assiduously to listen to You – and therefore it must be my goal as well. For I am One, in harmony with You.
