LESSON THREE HUNDRED THIRTY FOUR

Workbook PART II

L e s s o n  334

Today I claim the gifts forgiveness gives.

This is in no way arrogance, but pure humility and gratitude to God for showing Me a better way to be. And for Your Gifts to Us of Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

¹ I will not wait another day to find the treasures which my Father offers me. It would be unappreciative of Me.  Who would refuse to open Christmas gifts?  And Your Gifts are so much greater than what’s found beneath the tree. Those are but temporal while all of Your Gifts are eternal. Illusions must be vain and dreams are gone, – the cheap and thoughtless ‘gifts’ of the ego –  even while they are woven out of thoughts that rest on false perception.  Meant to imprison, ego’s ‘gifts’ are lies. Let me not accept such meager gifts again today. They do not satisfy in any way. God’s Voice is offering the peace of God to all who hear and choose to follow Him.  Why would I refuse to accept His gracious and loving gifts?  This is my choice today.  For I’ve changed My mind. I’m no more insane! And so I go to find the treasures God has given me.  Truly, I’m not walking, I am running!

² I seek but the eternal. For Your Son can be content with nothing less than this. Your forever Good is awaiting My acceptance of It! What then can be his solace but what You are offering to his bewildered mind and frightened heart, – gone in a heartbeat, healed by Your Gifts, loving Father-Mother – to give him certainty and bring him peace?  I can already feel My mind and heart relaxing, as I’m leaning into Love. Today I would behold my brother sinless. – This is the Gift I’m giving for the Gifts I am receiving. – This Your Will for me, for thus will I behold my sinlessness.  And the Gift of Freedom that comes with it. Thank You dear, belovèd Father-Mother.  How joyous to feel like Your Son again.  Now I comprehend: “My cup runneth over.”₁

What is the Ego?

The stranger and usurper You invented to hide the Son of God, replacing Him with an imaginary idol.  A miscreation that You revere and worship.

¹ The ego is idolatry- – worshiping itself – the sign of limited and separated self, born in a body, doomed to suffer and to end its life in death.  It’s blind to its own obvious insanity, sure its insane thoughts are normal.  The idea of Life dying makes perfect sense to the ego. It is the will that sees the Will of God as enemy and takes a form in which It is denied. The Will of God is but good for all, and thus ever-present. The ego wills good only for itself and never finds it. The ego is the “proof” that strength is weak and love is fearful, life is really death, and what opposes God alone is true.  Is it not obvious that the ego is insanity? Not to the insane.

² The ego is insane. In fear it stands beyond the Everywhere, apart from All, in separation from the Infinite. Or so it believes, yet its beliefs are those of lunacy. In its insanity it thinks it has become a victor over God Himself, – with delusions of grandeur it is rife; absolutely mad – and in its terrible autonomy, it “sees” the Will of God has been destroyed. (itself the victor; always center stage; madness unbounded) It dreams of punishment and trembles at the figures in its dreams, its enemies who seek to murder it before it can ensure its safety by attacking them.  Violent thoughts, often masked by a ‘smile’.  Don’t trust the ego, for its hatred also includes itself.

³ The Son of God is egoless. For S/He is the true Love of God revealed.  With purest Love S/He does adore Her Source and never leaves It. What can he know of madness and the death of God when he abides in Him?  As Truth, S/He does abide as God’s belovèd Presence What can he know of sorrow and of suffering when he lives in eternal joy? What can he know of fear and punishment, of sin and guilt, of hatred and attack when all there is surrounding him is everlasting peace, forever conflict-free and undisturbed in deepest silence and tranquility?  Son of God, wake up!  Why choose You dreaming?  You’re missing so much Love and happiness, clarity and peace.!

⁴ To know Reality is not to see the ego and its thoughts, its works, its acts, its laws and its beliefs, its dreams, its hopes, its plans for its salvation, and the cost belief in it entails. For it does take such endless conniving to split Your mind off from God, then to keep maintaining the split. In suffering, the price for faith in it is so immense that crucifixion of the Son of God is offered daily at its darkened shrine and blood must flow before the altar where its sickly followers prepare for death.  Truly Divinity is far preferable to playing at being ‘human’.

⁵ Yet will one lily of forgiveness – remember, I have but asked You for “a little willingness” – change the darkness into light, the altar to illusions to the shrine of Life Itself.  Infinite Radiance, pure happiness; gone is all sorrow, healed by Its pure joy.  And peace will be restored forever to the holy minds which God created as His Son, – You and You and You and You; every blessèd, belovèd One of You, You, You.  All are included! – His dwelling-place, His joy, His love, completely His, completely one with Him.  As thoughts people Mind, let but Divine qualities people thought: Life, Truth, Love, Spirit.

Start with living those; You’ll soon be happy!
