LESSON THREE HUNDRED THIRTY

L e s s o n  330

I will not hurt myself again today.

Giving up the mental masochism that constitutes the ego.  It’s not fun.  How mesmerized I must have been to think that these mind games brought Me any pleasure.  Separation but equals suffering.

¹ Let us this day accept forgiveness as our only function.  And I’ll be My first recipient of this holy blessing.  Then it is quite obvious that since I deserve it, then so does every single One of All My Brothers and My Sisters.  None can be left out!

Why should we attack our minds and give them images of pain?  I made a big mistake (although it never really happened) and paid for it dearly, forking over happiness and peace for a bizarre sense of so-called ‘freedom’.

Why should we teach them they are powerless when God holds out His power and His Love and bids them take what is already theirs? My mind – indeed – is what I am, for I am not a body. Still I surely Am.  And What I am – and What We All are – is Consciousness Itself.

What One Son of God is must be Truth for every Other One.  So if You see Judas ‘out there’ instead of Jesus, it’s Judas that You are – betraying All Your Brothers. Yet if You see Jesus ‘out there’, then are You Saviour to All Your Brothers.  It’s very simple.

The mind that is made willing to accept God’s gifts has been restored to Spirit and extends its freedom and its joy, as is the Will of God united with its own. This Mind gives but Love, standing side by side with Elder Brother, sharing now His Love.

The Self which God created cannot sin and therefore cannot suffer. – And We are that Self, right here and right now. – Let us choose today that He be our identity and thus escape forever from all things the dream of fear appears to offer us.  For Love really is Our Identity! What a great, glorious discovery!

² Father, Your Son cannot be hurt. – We’re invincible as the Son of God! Sing hallelujah, praises to Our God! – And if we think we suffer, we but fail to know our one Identity we share with You. Like Father, so like Son.

We would return to It today, – don’t delay a nanosecond longer! – to be made free forever from all our mistakes and to be saved from what we thought we were.  It was but a nightmare, albeit quite long and persistent.  Now it is over.  And the Son of God has gladly regained His precious freedom.
