LESSON THREE HUNDRED TWENTY-NINE

L e s s o n  329

I have already chosen what You will.

How could I not when I am One with Thee?  So if I think that I can make a different choice, then I must be self-deluded.

 

¹ Father, I thought I wandered from Your Will, defied it, broke its laws, and interposed a second will more powerful than Yours. It would be laughable if it had never seemed to happen. Till I decide to change My mind, I suffer from the seeming.

Yet what I am in truth is but Your Will, extended and extending. This am I. I am God expressed forever, and I always have been, and I always will be.

Oh! Now I think I understand; We and Our will come from One Mind: and that Mind is God’s; so self-will brings only suffering. God’s Will only Peace.

And this will never change. As You are One, so am I one with You. And this I chose in my creation, where my will became forever one with Yours. Never has there been an instant when this wasn’t Truth.  For Creation had no beginning, nor will It ever end. Always never starts nor does it finish.  Only special relationships do seem to begin and then to end.  For they’re temporal and not eternal. That choice was made for all eternity. It cannot change and be in opposition to itself. Fact is: there never was, is or will be any other choice!

 

Father, my will is Yours.  All pain originates in believing elsewise; i.e. believing in a lie. Now, please listen to the Truth and heed it: And I am safe, untroubled and serene in endless joy because it is Your Will that it be so.  This Truth is right at hand, awaiting but My switch of allegiance from the ego to Our Father, God.

What will it take? When will I be willing enough to do it?

  

² Today we will accept our union with each other and our Source.  It will be some today, Now or another eon.  Why wait an instant longer for Our eternal happiness and Love. Heaven waits for Us with so much longing, as We stay dreaming on relentlessly.  We have no will apart from His, and all of us are one because His Will is shared by all of us. Through it we recognize that we are one. Through it we find our way at last to God.  Yet even knowing this, We’ve stayed enmeshed in separation.  It seems so compelling to finish out the dream; then another and another.

Will it take another holocaust, or can I just stand up and say: “No more.  Stop the world.  I’m getting off! I’ve had enough!” (And don’t forget to take Your Brother’s hand!)
