L e s s o n  104

I seek but what belongs to me in truth.

God gives only Good, for God and Good are but synonymous, One with each Other. God Be-ing Presence, Good describes His Nature just perfectly.

You Be-ing God expressed as Presence, Good describes You just as perfectly as He. Do not believe what does not agree with God’s Reality. Good is Truth of You.

Don’t be tempted to believe or act contrary to the Truth. Temptation has no power but the strength which You give to it. Minds filled with Love are invulnerable, Love Be-ing power.

¹ Today’s idea continues with the thought that joy and peace are not but idle dreams. They are your right because of what you are.  They come to you from God, Who cannot fail to give you what He wills.

He can’t fail since there is no separation, meaning You and He are ever One. What He is You are, Your very substance; not something apart.

Yet must there be a place made ready to receive His gifts.

What is that holy place but Consciousness that You share with God. As Reality, You and He are One. The loud claims of the ego that You are here, and God is up there somewhere in the sky are just nonsense!

They are not welcomed gladly by a mind which has instead received the gifts it made where His belong, as substitutes for them. 

The ego always lies. It feeds itself on separation.

² Today we would remove all meaningless and self-made gifts which we have placed upon the holy altar

– centered in Our mind –

where God’s gifts belong.

Yes! You’re getting it! Again that’s now becoming clear to You: all things are mental, happening in mind. Shift Your thinking, and You shift the picture.

These are the gifts which are our own in truth.

We would let them go; they are meaningless.

His are the gifts which we inherited before time was and which will still be ours when time has passed into eternity. 

And they are Ours right now, available ro every One, as We accept them.

³ These are the gifts which are within us now, for they are timeless.

Thus they are right now!

And we need not wait to have them. They belong to us today.

Shall We not access them without delay?

Therefore we will to have them now and know in choosing them in place of what we made we but unite our will with what God wills and recognize the same as being one. 

As Reality, We are in perfect harmony with God.

⁴ Our longer practice periods today, the hourly five minutes given truth for your salvation, should begin with this:

⁵ I seek but what belongs to me in truth,

– for it must be Good since God is its Source –

And joy and peace are my inheritance. 

What more could I need but this joy and peace? They signify a Divine completeness that I had not before comprehended. All worldly things are but distractions to Our Divinity.

⁶ Then lay aside the conflicts of the world that offer other gifts and other goals made of illusions, witnessed to by them, and sought for only in a world of dreams.

Come, instead, to the Awakened place, which is but the Reality of Heaven. The busy world of dreams is exhausting. It’s not Your real Home.

All this we lay aside and seek instead that which is truly ours, as we ask to recognize what God has given us.

Right where You are, Heaven ‘s Kingdom does wait for You to see It.

Open up the Ideas of Your mind. They have been held captive by the ego. You can free them now. Let’s choose to free them.

⁷ We clear a holy place within our minds before His altar,

– which is but Our specific consciousness –

where His gifts of peace and joy are welcome and to which we come to find what has been given us by Him. 

Each moment that We are receptive come the loveliest of ideas from Him. We are filled with the glory of God’s Reality, and We sing with David: Our cup runneth over.₁

We come in confidence today, aware that what belongs to us in truth is what He gives. 

Only Good can come from Our Great Giver. This Good wanes not, for It is Eternal, coming straight from Love.

And we would wish for nothing else, for nothing else belongs to us in truth. 

Only Good is Ours.

⁸ So do we clear the way for Him today by simply recognizing that His Will is done already and that joy and peace belong to us as His eternal gifts.

We will no longer clutter up Our minds with grievances and fears. We turn, instead, to God’s joy and peace.

We will not let ourselves lose sight of them between the times we come to seek for them where He has laid them.

They must come with Us, for they are quite intrinsic to Our Minds.

This reminder will we bring to mind as often as we can:

⁹ I seek but what belongs to me in truth.

What God is giving Me eternally.

God’s gifts of joy and peace are all I want.

God wills them for Me.
