Salvation is my only function here.

It is the expression of Life, and Truth, and Love.  These are the qualities of God.  And since of God, then they, also, are Yours.

¹ Salvation – Life, Truth, Love expressed, either toward One or toward a trying situation – and forgiveness are the same. They both imply that something has gone wrong-something you need to be saved from or forgiven for, something amiss that needs corrective change, something apart or different from the Will of God. – something that is neither Life, Truth, nor Love – Thus do both terms imply something impossible but yet which has occurred, resulting in a state of conflict between what is and what could never be.  I know You’re thinking that that sentence is pure insanity!  Let’s look at it again: the impossible has somehow occurred, which is a conflicting statement.  Two questions arise: from whose standpoint is it impossible and from whose standpoint has it seemed to occur?

God, Source of All Reality, knows only the good and right.  So to God error has never occurred.

The ego – the antithesis of Love – being the source of all supposed conflict– says it has, and therefore, God is not all-powerful, for it can override God’s eternal Perfection with sin, disease, and death, its own bizarre inventions.

With which mind are You thinking?  Reality or its imagined opposite, the daydream, a.k.a. imagination.

Now it is easy to see that the conflict is “between what is and what could never be”.   God is; the ego is only seeming.

² Truth and illusions both are equal now, for both have happened.  So it seems to the Dreamer, enamored of His miscreation. The one that never really happened. The Dreamer, knowing that it is not of God, concludes that He has actually done something different. The impossible becomes the thing you need forgiveness for, salvation from. Salvation is the borderland between the truth and illusion. In other words, salvation is the necessary bridge from unreality to Reality.  It reflects the truth – for it mirrors Heaven to the Dreamer – because it is the means by which you can escape illusions. For illusions do block Reality, right now, from Your view. Yet it is not truth because it undoes what was never done.  And although it is not True, it does its job in blessing You, and for this blessing, We Who know Reality are grateful that there’s a bridge between the seeming two: Reality and unreality.

³ How could there be a meeting place at all where earth and Heaven can be reconciled within a mind where both of them exist?  Again, We are so grateful for the bridge. For We, awake, long for real communion with You Who are still choosing to keep dreaming even longer. The mind that sees illusions thinks them real. They have existence in that they are thoughts. And yet they are not real because the mind that thinks these thoughts is separate from God, since it is unreal. 

⁴ What joins the separated mind and thoughts with Mind and Thought which are forever one? What plan could hold the truth inviolate, yet recognize the need illusions bring and offer means by which they are undone without attack and with no touch of pain? What but a Thought of God could be this plan by which the never done is overlooked and sins forgotten which were never real?  Can You feel the Love of God which I am expressing in the sentence previous?  There are no ‘thought crimes’ to Our God of Love.  For S/He knows that You are right now perfect. Love is never fooled by Your delusions.

⁵ The Holy Spirit holds this plan of God exactly as it was received of Him within the Mind of God and in your own. It is apart from time in that its Source is timeless. Reality equals Eternity. Yet it operates in time because of your belief that time is real. So in Your healing, You are being so accommodated. Unshaken does the Holy Spirit look on what you see-on sin and pain and death, on grief and separation, and on loss. If You but knew just how impossible they are, You’d laugh with such glad abandon. Yet does He know one thing must still be true-God still is Love, and this is not His Will.  It rests on non-existent foundation.  When there is willingness, it’s harder to blow up a balloon than to blow off the whole separation if You’re but willing.

⁶ This is the Thought – consciousness Divine – which brings illusions to the truth, and sees them as appearances behind which is the changeless and the sure: the Reality of the Loving God. This is the Thought which saves and which forgives, because it lays no faith in what is not created by the only Source it knows. This, the Mind that is the Holy Spirit. This is the Thought whose function is to save by giving you its function as your own.  Right-mindedness leading to salvation.

⁷ Salvation is your function with the One to Whom the plan was given. Now are you entrusted with this plan, along with Him. He needs Your help to reach each One of Our unhearing Brothers. He has one answer to appearances regardless of their form, their size, their depth, or any attribute they seem to have: 

⁸ Salvation is my only function here.
God still is Love, and this is not His Will.

That sounds very clear.  Let Us now gladly join Him in this holy liberation of the Son of God.

⁹ You who will yet work miracles, be sure you practice well the idea for today. Try to perceive the strength in what you say, for these are words in which your freedom lies. Your Father loves you. All the world of pain is not His Will. Forgive yourself the thought He wanted this for you. Then let the Thought with which He has replaced all your mistakes enter the darkened places of your mind which thought the thoughts – generated by the malicious and the vicious ego – that never were His Will.

¹⁰ This part belongs to God, as does the rest. It does not think its solitary thoughts and make them real by hiding them from Him. Let in the light, and you will look upon no obstacle to what He wills for you. Open your secrets to His kindly Light, and see how bright this Light still shines in you.  For this Light is You.  Sing hallelujah, literally it does mean “Praise the Lord.”  For You can’t praise God and still be enamored of the ego.  Not at the same time!

¹¹ Practice His Thought today, and let His Light seek out and lighten up all darkened spots and shine through them to join them to the rest.  All He but asks is Your willingness to let His Light of Love replace the darkness! It is God’s Will your mind be one with His. It is God’s Will that He has but one Son. It is God’s Will that His one Son is you. You are but the belovèd Son of God, right here and right now.  Will You not make the choice to once again experience it?  All I ask is a little willingness.

¹² Think of these things in practicing today, and start your longer practice periods with this instruction in the way of truth:

Salvation and forgiveness are the same.  To forgive takes a willingness to Love; Love is the Truth about You.  And Love is but endless Life.

¹⁴ Then turn to Him who shares your function with you, and let Him teach you what you need to learn to lay all fear aside and know your Self as Love Which has no opposite in you.  Imagine what it would feel like to always be Knowing Love.  It would be Heaven come to earth indeed. And it can be.  Such is Reality.

Where else can this experience of Heaven renew itself but in Your thinking?  For this is a Universe of Consciousness and not of things.

¹⁵ Forgive all thoughts which would oppose the truth of your completeness, unity, and peace. Correct them, for they are but mistakes with no reality to them. They have no foundation, for they are simply figments of Your imagination! Give them no credence. You cannot lose the gifts your Father gave. Your Divine Individuality is quite permanent.  It is God’s Self that is uniquely You. You do not want to be another self.  For the You that God is always Be-ing is just wonderful. You have no function that is not of God. Forgive yourself the one you think you made. Forgiveness and salvation are the same. Forgive what you have made, and you are saved. 

Forgiveness means to let go of Your belief in it, this so-called ‘self’ apart from God.  It claims to be Reality, yet it is nothing but an awful nightmare.

¹⁶ You have a special message for today which has the power to remove all forms of doubt and fear forever from your mind. If you are tempted to believe them true, remember that appearances cannot withstand the truth these mighty words contain:

¹⁷ Salvation is my only function here.  I am to be  but Life, Truth and Love to every One I see, to each One I speak.
God still is Love, and this misperception of All Things I see is not His Will.

¹⁸ Your only function tells you you are one. You are  One with God and One with all of God’s most wholly perfect Revelation. Remind yourself of this between the times you give five minutes to be shared with Him Who shares God’s plan with you. Remind yourself:

¹⁹ Salvation is my only function here.  I’m here to Be and here to give Life, Truth, Love to every One and every nation.  I must be these three before I give them.

²⁰ Thus do you lay forgiveness on your mind and let all fear be gently laid aside that Love may find Its rightful place in you and show you that you are the Son of God.

Forgiveness is the key to Be-ing Love. “Love alone is Life.”₁ Love and Life are but the Truth about You.  Now and forever.
