L e s s o n  94

I am as God created me.

For I am His belovèd Son, now and for Eternity.
That brings to Me such a sense of safety. Can You feel it too? God’s infinite embrace, forever upholding Me and You.

1 Today we continue with the one idea which brings complete salvation; the one statement which makes all forms of temptation powerless; the one thought which renders the ego silent and entirely undone. You are as God created you. What does this statement really mean to You who are reading it? That You are a body, made of matter, with a mind somewhere inside, most probably within Your head? This is the ego’s own explanation of its seeming ‘creation’: You! And it just doesn’t cut it! For there’s no such thing as the thing You have called ‘matter; all particles have turned out to be only space. Reality, it now appears, is eternal, and extremely energetic. “You are but as God is creating You.” Let Us now be curious to see what that is all about. The sounds of this world are still, the sights of this world disappear, and all the thoughts that this world ever held are wiped away forever by this one idea. In this thought from Heaven lies Your freedom. Here is salvation accomplished. Here is sanity restored. Happiness regained!

2 True light is strength, and strength is sinlessness. If you remain as God created you, you must be strong and light must be in you. And there can be no part of “You” that is not illumined and illuminating! He Who ensured your sinlessness must be the guarantee of strength and light as well. For You are His Presence and His Treasure. You are as God created you. Which clearly means that You must be pure, perfect and eternal. Darkness cannot obscure the glory of the Son of God. You stand in light, – You are Light Itself, Its Living Presence, and individualized as lovely You – strong in the sinlessness in which you were created and in which you will remain throughout eternity. God is Eternal, everlasting Good. You are Part of God; therefore, You, too, must be forever Good.

There is no need to ‘die’ and suffer for Your so-called ‘sins’, which only happened in Your insane dreams. This is real good news! Life holds but Love for You. Come! Now accept It!

3 Today we will again devote the first five minutes of each waking hour to the attempt to feel the truth in you. Five minutes of the sweetest happiness, if You accept it! Begin these times of searching with these words:

4 I am as God created me. God is trustworthy!
I am His Son eternally.

5 Now try to reach the Son of God in you. This is the Self that never sinned nor made an image to replace reality. This is the Self which never left its home in God to walk the world uncertainly. This is the Self which knows no fear nor could conceive of loss or suffering or death. This is the Self from Whom You’ve hidden for You were afraid. Yet there is nothing to fear in a Universe where All is Love.

Let that Truth sink in. It’s really joyous!

6 Nothing is required of you to reach this goal except to lay all idols and self-images aside, go past the long list of attributes, both “good” and “bad,” you have ascribed to yourself and wait in silent expectancy for the truth. In other words, put aside the ‘human’ with which You have replaced the Son of God. God has Himself promised that it will be revealed to all who ask for it. You are asking now. You cannot fail because He cannot fail. As Paul said in the Bible: “He is faithful Who hath promised.”

7 If you do not meet the requirement of practicing for the first five minutes of every hour, at least remind yourself hourly:

8 I am as God created me. How could I be otherwise? He is the One Creator! More properly, the Revelator for Reality not only has no end; it has no beginning.
I am His Son eternally. Since He is My One Source, I must be part of Him forever.

⁹ Tell yourself frequently today that you are as God created you. And be sure to respond to anyone who seems to irritate you with these words:

¹⁰ You are as God created you.
You are His Son eternally. Therefore, I Love You.

¹¹ Make every effort to do the hourly exercises today. Each one you do will be a giant stride toward your release and a milestone in learning the thought system which this course sets forth. As Paul says in the Bible: “He is faithful Who has promised.”
