¹ Today’s review will cover these idea:

[69] My grievances hide the light of the world in me.

First and foremost, they hide the Light from Me! Love is the Light of all things great and small. Without that Light I cannot see properly Reality. You could say that Love is the Light of 20-20 Vision! Eschew grievances, need not Your glasses.

2 My grievances show me what is not there and hide from me what I would see. For What I would see is but Reality. Recognizing this, what do I want my grievances for? Would I be blind to God’s Revelation? They keep me in darkness and hide the light. Grievances and light cannot go together, – for grievances are dank and clammy things, nursed in the darkness – but light and vision must be joined for me – no interference – to see. Grievances interfere, tremendously. To see, I must lay grievances aside. Am I clear on this? I had better be! I want to see, and this will be the means by which I will succeed. Love is the Light which allows Me to see.

3 Specific applications of this idea might be made in these forms:
4 Let me not use this as a block to sight.
The light of the world will shine all this away.
I have no need for this. I want to see. I resolve to turn away from dreams, refusing to look back. For like Lot’s wife,1 to look back is immobilizing and very unproductive. And not the salt of savour2 of which I spoke.

[70] My salvation comes from me.

From where else could it be? It’s not from Thee. (“Thee” being neither God or My Brothers.)
To find it only I need to rehabilitate My thoughts, from gripes to grateful.

5 Today I will recognize where my salvation is. It is in me because its Source is there. God is My Real Mind. It has not left its Source, and so it cannot have left my mind. For I am really Mind, and that makes Me (and Thee) Consciousness. I will not look for it outside myself. It is not found outside and then brought in. But from within me it will reach beyond, and everything I see will but reflect the light that shines in me and in itself. This Light shines as Me, for there is no Real Me that isn’t Light!

6 These forms of the idea are suitable for more specific application:

7 Let this not tempt me to look away from me for my salvation. Looking to another for salvation, when it isn’t there. I will not let this interfere with my awareness of the Source of my salvation. Relationships are opportunities, not My saviours! You mean another romance won’t save Me? This has no power to remove salvation from me. Love’s supremacy does forever guarantee salvation.

21 And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.
22 Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.
23 The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.
24 Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;
25 And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

2 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
