LESSON SIXTY

Lesson 46 – Lesson 50

¹ These ideas are for today’s review:   Let Us cherish them till We find Ourselves to be Love’s Presence; once again at Home.

[46] God is the Love in which I forgive.  This holy expression is not of myself but, instead, is Me as Love’s Presence.

² God does not forgive because He has never condemned. Then who am I to even think of any condemnation? Why should I judge for God, when S/He knows naught of any judgment? I’ve not been hired for that awful job, for it’s not needed! All positions have been filled with God’s. If I have a job – and I do – then I must be Love’s Presence. The blameless cannot blame, and those who have accepted their innocence see nothing to forgive. God knows but Innocence and never ‘sin’, a concept that is quite unknown to Him. Yet forgiveness is the means by which I will recognize my innocence. It is the reflection of God’s Love on earth. His Living Presence. Not ephemeral; yet It fills all space, and is true Substance. And It’s You and I, belovèd Others. It will bring me near enough to Heaven that the Love of God can reach down to me and raise me to my home. Heaven is right here and always has been, so patiently awaiting Your awareness of Its Presence.

[47] God is the Strength in which I trust. There is no other Strength that’s comparable to God’s all-Power. That’s Reality: God the only Power, only Strength; One Life and Truth and Love. The One that is All.

³ It is not my own strength through which I forgive. It is through the strength of God in me, which I am remembering as I forgive. More properly, the strength of God as Me. As I begin to see, I recognize His reflection on earth. His Living Presence everywhere I see. I forgive all things because I feel the stirring of His strength in me. A Power that is so very gentle, quite benign; yet It is Omnipotence. And I begin to remember the Love I chose to forget, but Which has not forgotten me. It powers the entire Universe! Yet does it care for Me just as if I were the only One. For to God, every One of His Ideas are belovèd! “God loves each One of Us, as if there were only One.” – spoken by St. Augustine. Can You feel God’s Love?

[48] There is nothing to fear.

⁴ How safe the world will look to me when I can see it! This dream – really a nightmare – that You see, so vividly, is not Reality. For it is nothing but the dreaming, which has engulfed the Son of God, keeping Him asleep, for eons.  It will not look anything like what I imagine I see now. Its Beauty is far beyond exquisite. Its Loveliness will take Your breath away; yet will You know It instantly, as soon as You remember. Everyone and everything I see will lean toward me to bless me. The promise of this Love fills Me with so much longing to see God’s Reality. Sometimes I feel the Presence of His Love seeming to be Me. And it is awesome! Deep is My longing for Reality. Let It come to Me! How much I do miss that Love that I cannot yet remember! Sometimes I feel it right there at the edge of My Awareness. How deep my longing! I will recognize in everyone my dearest Friend. What could there be to fear in a world which I have forgiven and which has forgiven me? Please help Me to see!

[49] God’s Voice speaks to me all through the day.  His words are always gentle, always kind. Sometimes I can feel them; how their loving Presence blesses Me, calling Me to Wake; to stop the dreaming. Love feels very close.

⁵ There is not a moment in which God’s Voice ceases to call on my forgiveness to save me. His teaching always is lovingkindness, bringing the mercy of forgiveness so clearly to My mind. From this I understand that We are each an Eternal Consciousness, not body. There is not a moment in which His Voice fails to direct my thoughts, guide my actions, and lead my feet. Let Me always pay attention; listen to the Voice for Love, as It sings to Me so very gently. I am walking steadily on toward truth. The one direction! There is nowhere else I can go because God’s Voice is the only voice and the only guide that has been given to His Son. All roads lead to God. Why not pick the “strait and narrow” for it is the most direct!₁ It’s the one that will lead You right to Life.

[50] I am sustained by the Love of God. How precious is It! How It shines through all the darkest dreaming.

⁶ As I listen to God’s Voice, I am sustained by His Love. As I open my eyes, His Love lights up the world for me to see. As I forgive, His Love reminds me that His Son is sinless. What is forgiveness but to be here for giving Love, instead of demanding It. And as I look upon the world with the vision He has given me, I remember that I am His Son.  And the wonder and the gratitude come flooding back to Me.  There are no words for the experience of coming Home again.  The only good of the dream is that it’s finally ended, and We now know Reality again.
