LESSON FIFTY

When You see the word ‘YOU’ capitalized in the Guidance, know that He is not just speaking to YOU, He is honoring YOU.

L e s s o n 50

I am sustained by the Love of God.

Not food?  Not money?  But by the everlasting arms of Love; Love both Be-ing Me and caring for Me. What does this all mean?! It means that Love is both Your sum and substance; is how You be and what You’re made from.  You cannot ever be apart from Love.

Therefore, I must know these facts of Be-ing. His Love is my Life and is Eternal. I must remember that I am not a body, I am Love.  None of Us are things; We are qualities.

¹ Here is the answer to every problem that confronts you today and tomorrow and throughout time. Endless struggle for so-called ‘survival’. The ego struggle for survival is to keep the body going, for it thinks it is that body. In this world, you believe you are sustained by everything but God. For the body appears to be very needy. Your faith is placed in the most trivial and insane symbols-pills, money, “protective” clothing, “influence,” “prestige,” being liked, knowing the “right” people, and an endless list of forms of nothingness which you endow with magical powers. These words I speak may surely make You squirm. They’re really good news.  All these things are your replacements for the Love of God. All these things are cherished to ensure a body identification. They are songs of praise to the ego. Gifts must be brought to its altar to appease its enormous appetite, its demands for sacrifice!

How awful.  Would You be this when Christ comes to You asking You to choose once again? Son of God will You make another choice?  That first one You made – eons ago – has been but disaster. Time to choose again. This is why there is ‘time’ (or seems to be); You can’t choose again in eternity.  If ‘time’ had not been invented, You could never come home again. There would be no way to be in Eternity with an ego mindset, therefore, no place to change it. ‘Time’ is a place where everything is changeable. You’re stuck in time until You’re consistent. The Holy Spirit is the ‘door’ so to speak from the ego to Eternity.

You might say S/He is a half-way house as You come off the addiction to dreaming.

² Do not put your faith in the worthless. It will not sustain you. Only the Love of God will protect you in all circumstances. Love is God’s Nature, and It’s Yours as well. It will lift you out of every trial and raise you high above all the perceived dangers of this world into a climate of perfect peace and safety. God’s Reality: the experience of Holy Spirit. It will transport you into a state of mind which nothing can threaten, nothing can disturb, and where nothing can intrude upon the eternal calm of the Son of God.  Indeed, it is calm, yet it is in all ways spectacular.

³ Put not your faith in illusions. Consistently, they are disappointing. They will fail you. For they aren’t real. Put all your faith in the Love of God within you, eternal, changeless and forever unfailing. Within, without, this Love is all of You. This is the answer to whatever confronts you today. Through the Love of God in you, – and there’s no bit of You that isn’t Love – you can resolve all seeming difficulties without effort and in sure confidence. And this is why: Love is omnipotent and omnipresent. There is no other power, and there is no other presence. Tell yourself this often today. It is a declaration of release from the belief in idols. It is your acknowledgment of the truth about yourself. You are the Love of God, right here, right now.

⁴ For ten minutes twice today, morning and evening, let the idea for today sink deep into your consciousness. Repeat it, think about it, let related thoughts come to help you recognize its truth, and allow peace to flow over you like a blanket of protection and surety. Let no idle and foolish thoughts enter to disturb the holy mind of the Son of God. Such is the Kingdom of Heaven. Such is the resting place where your Father has placed you forever.  Peace: the Peace of Reality is an active joyous thing, while at the same time it is serene, yet full of God’s laughter. Words fail, for the the experience is quite indescribable, and it awaits You.
