Our Final Lessons

Lessons to support Us as We step out of dreams into Reality again.  This is the “journey without distance”, simply a change of mind.

Yet can it seem more painful than to run a thousand miles through a freezing blizzard!  So disinclined the ego is to any kind of change, much less one of this great magnitude: from dreaming to the Real.

And all it takes is but that little willingness that I have requested of You. Will You now give it?

¹Our final lessons will be left as free of words as possible. As We learn to lean into another type of listening, learning comes from within and not without. A living Knowledge, not learned from books, but from the Self We are. We use them – the words of Guidance – but at the beginning of our practicing and only to remind us that we seek to go beyond them. To the holy communication which comes to Us from Mind. Let us turn to Him – within what We have thought are own minds, separate and apart from All Our Others – Who leads the way and makes our footsteps sure, in holy balance. To Him we leave these lessons, – to unfold them further in Our minds – as to Him we give our lives henceforth. We would be gladly healed of Our insanity of sin, and sickness, and dying. For we would not return again to the belief in sin, which made the world seem ugly and unsafe, attacking and destroying, dangerous in all its ways, and treacherous beyond the hope of trust and the escape from pain.  How could We think this world has come from God?  We made it up, now let Us unmake it, so that We can now see Reality!

² His is the only way to find the peace that God has given us. Christ’s the words, and Christ the open door₁ to Our Awakening. He has set it wide open before Us. Let Us stop ignoring it and enter. It is His way that everyone must travel in the end, because it is this ending God Himself appointed.  Having passed this way before, He has come back to lead Us, like sheep lost in a storm. He would Guide Us out of time and back into Eternity. In the dream of time, it seems to be far off. And yet in truth, it is already here, already serving us as gracious guidance in the way to go. For dream beliefs don’t control Reality, only Your experience of It. Let us together follow in this way that truth points out to us. And let us be the leaders of our many brothers who are seeking for the way but find it not.  Let Us gift them with Our kindness and Our Love, that They might remember God and Home and just how much We Love One Another.

³ And to this purpose let us dedicate our minds, directing all our thoughts to serve the function of salvation.  It is a privilege to be able to bless an Other; to gift them with the key to happiness.  To not just forgive them, but to see each One as Christ Risen. Unto us the aim is given to forgive the world. To see past the dream to the Reality of Wakening. It is the goal that God has given us. And that We have most gladly accepted. It is His ending to the dream we seek, and not our own. For all that we forgive we will not fail to recognize as part of God Himself. Thus are We twice blessed – by the law of Love – and then so much more! And thus His memory is given back completely and complete.  The Gift of Love’s Truth can only bless the Giver perfectly.

⁴ It is our function to remember Him on earth, – while We still dally longer in the dream – as it is given us to be His own completion in reality.  Picture Sun and Rays: Sun is the Source, the Rays the completion.  Just so it is God is the Source, the Son – the belovèd One – is God’s completion. Each One of Us is His belovèd Son. So let us not forget our goal is shared.  The Whole of the belovèd Son must, therefore,  include each One! For it is that remembrance which contains the memory of God and points the way to Him and to the Heaven of His peace.  This is crucial to understand, the ‘why’ of all forgiveness: Love is either Universal or it isn’t Love at all. And shall we not forgive our brother who can offer this to us? He is the way, the truth, and life that show the way to us. My goal here is that forgiveness move from being a Course word to living, breathing, Reality for every One of You! See Your erring Brother as Your holy Saviour; He holds Your key to freedom! In him resides salvation, offered us through our forgiveness given unto him.  Is this very clear?  Clear enough to have You say: I can’t wait to Love My Brother!?  A crucial question.

⁵ We will not end this year without the gift our Father promised to His holy Son. When will You make these words a Reality that lives right now? We are forgiven now. So let Us forgive. And we are saved from all the wrath we thought belonged to God and found it was a dream. Let Us hold no wrath against an Other. That so-called “Other” is a part of Me, so why hate Myself! We are restored to sanity in which we understand that anger is insane, attack is mad, and vengeance merely foolish fantasy. Why wreak that on Yourself or on Your Brother? We have been saved from wrath because we learned we were mistaken. We thought the dream real.  Nothing more than that. And is a Father angry at His Son because he failed to understand the truth?  Only when He thinks He is a ‘human’!  Not when He is God.

⁶ We come in honesty to Him and say we did not understand and ask Him to help us to learn His lessons through the Voice of His own Teacher.  This repentance – or re-thinking – opens Us to hear His Voice. Would He hurt His Son? Or would He rush to answer him and say, “This is My Son, and all I have is his”? Be certain He will answer thus, for these are His own Words to you. (They are words of Love!) And more than that can no one ever have, for in these Words is all there is and all that there will be throughout all time and in eternity.  They are far beyond any dreams that seemed to be engaging. Those were hypnotic fantasies; no more.  Life as One with God is magnificent, and It’s always Now.
