Workbook PART II

Our Final Lessons

¹Our final lessons will be left as free of words as possible. We use them but at the beginning of our practicing and only to remind us that we seek to go beyond them.  Each one of the Lessons for the year truly has but one focus, and that is for You to make constant Connection with Me, … as You’re doing now.  Is it not easy, so very simple?  Whether for transcription of My meaning or for continual daily Guidance matters not.  What matters is that You make the connection!

Let us turn to Him Who leads the way and makes our footsteps sure.  Our Brother who has opened the door to the Holy Spirit, and gives Voice to God.

To Him we leave these lessons, – They are His teaching– as to Him we give our lives henceforth.  To heal the world along with Him becomes Our greatest privilege. For we would not return again to the belief in sin, which made the world seem ugly and unsafe, attacking and destroying, dangerous in all its ways, and treacherous beyond the hope of trust and the escape from pain.  Indeed, the world does seem that way, but thanks to Elder Brother and the Function of the Holy Spirit, We have learned to go beyond ‘seeming’ ‘till We reach Reality as Our own  minds.

² His is the only way to find the peace that God has given us, for it’s His as well. It is His way that everyone must travel in the end, because it is this ending God Himself appointed.  Yet thanks to Our Brother, We need not hang upon a cross, but only need learn to willingly forgive. Once there’s willingness, it’s pretty easy! In the dream of time, it seems to be far off. And yet in truth, it is already here, already serving us as gracious guidance in the way to go.  The Here and Now is always happening, is always present.

Let us together follow in this way that truth points out to us. And let us be the leaders of our many brothers who are seeking for the way but find it not.  For He has said: Freely ye have received, just as freely give.

³ And to this purpose let us dedicate our minds, directing all our thoughts to serve the function of salvation.  It is that simple:  shift from Me to We; that’s the catalyst. Unto us the aim is given to forgive the world.  What is the key to this accomplishment?Then, let Us only be here for giving.

It is the goal that God has given us. It is His ending to the dream we seek, and not our own.  It is His Gift of Love for All of Us. For all that we forgive we will not fail to recognize as part of God Himself. See God everywhere and You will have the glorious experience of Heaven!  And thus His memory is given back completely and complete.  How appealing is that promise!  How appealing is that promise to You, … to-day?

⁴ It is our function to remember Him on earth, as it is given us to be His own completion in reality.  This is not so hard, for He is nearer to Us than Our breath. (With thanks, once again, to Lord Tennyson!)

So let us not forget our goal is shared.  We do not do this alone, on Our own.  ‘Alone’ must once again become All One.

For it is that remembrance which contains the memory of God and points the way to Him and to the Heaven of His peace.  Although You cannot remember any of Its glory, Heaven is worth giving up the ego story.

And shall we not forgive our brother who can offer this to us? I know You think He is obnoxious; yet, He is more than that: He is the way, the truth, and life that show the way to us. No matter how bad are His foibles, they but make Him oh, so, valuable to You. In him resides salvation, offered us through our forgiveness given unto him.  The ‘worse’ He seems to be, the bigger are the blessings He bestows on Us with joy!

⁵ We will not end this year without the gift our Father promised to His holy Son. He’s already given Us His blessing.

We are forgiven now. For what We never did; it’s the very same Gift: We are to forgive Our Brothers. And we are saved from all the wrath we thought belonged to God and found it was a dream.  Wrath is only of the ego, which projected it to God, to absolve itself. We are restored to sanity in which we understand that anger is insane, attack is mad, and vengeance merely foolish fantasy.  They are but the weapons of the ego.

We have been saved from wrath because we learned we were mistaken. Nothing more than that. And is a Father angry at His Son because he failed to understand the truth?  It is only in the dream, where the ‘right’ to anger is believed to be ‘power’; yet, truly it results from impotence.

⁶ We come in honesty to Him and say we did not understand and ask Him to help us to learn His lessons through the Voice of His own Teacher.  There’s nothing to fear, for God is but Love. Would He hurt His Son? What arrant nonsense.  Love inflicts no pain; It gives only Good. Or would He rush to answer him and say, “This is My Son, and all I have is his”?  It is the latter. God is only Love. Be certain He will answer thus, for these are His own Words to you.  Hear Him gently call: Belovèd Son, all that I am is Yours. And more than that can no one ever have, for in these Words is all there is and all that there will be throughout all time and in eternity.  We can say: Love is; and then cease to speak, as Our hearts are filled.
