Resurrected Flight

By Marc R. Boulais*

All of Nature’s quiet, expectant groaning

Trapped by seed self under Earth’s death door

Yearning for existence to reach for Heaven’s heights

And be caressed by sun’s and wind’s gentle touch once more.

Something inside must die to crack its small prison

Ego’s craftiness controls to thwart Life’s purposeful decision

Dying to self  brought seeds of blood to the Master’s brow

Let go and trust God in darkness impossible to understand

Accept mysterious Love appearing as loss dealt from such a heavy hand.

The Father’s Love is ever faithful to see His children

Reach for heights of Love’s upward, transformed fruition.

Your crucifixion is the plan to pay the cost of Life’s tuition

To be raised anew in a Christ-centered selfless creation.

The worm sees not the flight, but eats the dirt to his delight.

God’s plan is much better; A Resurrection born in flight

To reach ever upward and soar the skies to mystical height

Of Love’s infinite capacity to give of True Self

In Resurrected glory to become a beam of Light.

* Marc R. Boulais is a serious student of Life who is committed to learning, living and practicing universal life truths. Having been raised Roman Catholic, it is clear that his short story “Deep Waters” includes imagery and references that reflect his strong Christian background. But Marc is also a student of other disciplines. He studies A Course in Miracles, the works of Joseph Campbell, the teachings of native American Indian Fools Crow, as well as the poetic writings of Rumi and Lao-Tzu, to name a few. According to Marc, all spokes of the wheel lead to the center and that center is God.

Painting Artist: Suzette Boulais is a student of Course In Miracles and co-facilitates a Sunday morning Course in Miracles class in Peoria, Illinois. More of Suzette’s artwork can be found on her website at http://www.suzetteboulais.com/
