LESSON TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY-TWO

 

L e s s o n  272

How can illusions satisfy God’s Son?

Obviously they cannot satisfy; hence, Your troubled world. Yes, “troubled” is quite an understatement. It is more like a cauldron of horrors, bubbling away: violence, divisiveness, prejudice. Yet God – Who is ever Good – is constant; every instant available to You; present for healing.

This is what We call the Holy Spirit, the Holy Instant: God’s Answers to the separating dream. Reach out, by opening Your mind to God; and feel Love tenderly – and oh so gently – embracing You.

¹ Father, the truth belongs to me. For I am Your Son, along with My Sisters and and My Brothers. My home is set in Heaven by Your Will and mine. I am here now, dreaming hell, for Heaven is – and must always be – omnipresent. Can dreams content me? No. they only confuse and frighten Me, leading Me to ‘die’ continuously. Can illusions bring me happiness? They rest on nothing, for they oppose God. What but Your memory can satisfy Your Son? Only My Awareness of You as My ever-present Here and Now will heal My troubled so-called mind. I will accept no less than You have given me, to gain My Freedom. I am surrounded by Your Love, forever still, forever gentle, and forever safe. Nor can I be separate from Love in any way at all. It is My Substance (Stuff of which I’m made). God’s Son must be as You created him. God is always Love. Thus must I be too, and All My Brothers.

² Today we pass illusions by. Give them no credence, for hell is not real. And if we hear temptation – ancient siren song – call to us to stay and linger in a dream, we turn aside and ask ourselves if we, the Sons of God, could be content with dreams when Heaven can be chosen just as easily as hell and love will happily replace all fear. We pay no attention to the ego’s continuing blandishments. Instead, We say “No!” and turn wholeheartedly to God for Substance and Salvation and always find them! There We rest today and Eternally.
