LESSON TWO HUNDRED FIFTY-FOUR

L e s s o n  254

Let every voice but God’s be still in me.

I need no longer speak for the ego, but, rather, I would be the Voice for God.

¹ Father, today I would but hear Your Voice. Instead of the ego’s both inane and insane chattering. Quiet sounds so lovely to Me; then comes Your sweet Love for Me. In deepest silence, – quiet, filled with Love – I would come to You to hear Your Voice and to receive Your Word, Your lovingkindness. I have no prayer but this: I come to You to ask You for the truth. Tell Me all about Your Reality. And truth is but Your Will, – You yearn for Me to understand Your Truth – which I would share with You today, so freely given.

² Today we let no evil thoughts direct our words or actions. For We would be led by Your Love alone. And We shall not be fooled by ego-speak. When such thoughts occur, we quietly step back and look at them, and then we let them go. Or deliberately toss them in the trash when they’re persistent. We do not want what they would bring with them. Perpetuation of the current dream instead of waking. And so we do not choose to keep them. Off to the garbage they have been consigned. They are silent now. I am so grateful. And in the stillness, – blessed, holy Peace – hallowed by His Love, – Love beyond Our present understanding – God speaks to us and tells us of our will, which is in perfect harmony with His, as we have chosen to remember Him, and, therefore, Ourselves.
