LESSON TWO HUNDRED FORTY-EIGHT

Whatever suffers is not part of me.

For the Son of God knows naught of pain. How could He ever know what His Father doesn’t. Yet is not this belief the whole basis of the dream? And God knows naught of dreaming, which is unreal. And how could there be something Real of which God is ignorant?

Can Your dream be real? Obviously not!

¹ I have disowned the truth. Preferring to dwell in exciting dreams. How foolish of Me. ‘Foolish’ is too kind. How idiotic! Now let me be as faithful in disowning falsity. Then will I – oh so gladly – cleave to Truth. Whatever suffers is not part of me. I am the Son of God, kept ever safe by My belovèd Father-Mother. What grieves is not myself, but an impostor. What is in pain is but illusion in my mind. What dies was never living in reality and did but mock the truth about myself. It is time for Me to invest in … what? God’s Reality! Now I disown self-concepts and deceits and lies about the holy Son of God.  The “Son of God” is present now as I and always has been. It is I who has ignored Him, not the other way around. Now am I ready to accept him back as God created him and as he is. Who is S/He but Me.  S/He a Me that has been so long hidden. Now would I free Her. Freeing Her frees Me. Now would I free Him. Freeing Him frees Me. And in freeing Me are My Others freed. All of Us are One. We don’t exist as separate entities. To believe in separation is to continue dreaming. It’s just that simple.

² Father, my ancient love for You returns – as I long for You – and lets me love Your Son again as well.  What is Your Son but the rest of Me in Its entirety. Father, I am as You created me. Now is Your Love remembered and my own. Because I willed to remember Real Me, it has been done. Now do I understand that they are one. And I am that One.
