LESSON ONE HUNDRED SIXTY TWO

WORKBOOK FOR STUDENTS – Part I

L e s s o n  162

I am as God created me.

Could I possibly have changed when Reality knows naught of time, and in the timeless nothing changes.

¹ This single thought, held firmly in the mind, would save the world. For it does mean that absolutely nothing ever happened. From time to time we will repeat it, as we reach another stage in learning. It will mean far more to you as you advance. These words are sacred, for they are the words God gave in answer to the world you made. With them, God reassures You that You cannot change Reality; only play a game of make-believe. By them it disappears, and all things seen within its misty clouds and vaporous illusions vanish as these words are spoken. For they come from God. I am as God created Me; He is perfect constancy.

² Here is the Word by which the Son became His Father’s happiness, His Love, and His completion. For here is how it has always been and it always will be. Here creation is proclaimed and honored as it is. It is constant yet unfolding throughout all Eternity. What a God have We! There is no dream these words will not dispel, no where they’re not heard, no thought of sin, and no illusion that the dream contains that will not fade away before their might. They are living Truth. They are the trumpet of awakening that sounds around the world. The dead awake in answer to its call. What cannot they do! And those who live and hear this sound will never look on death. For to God, death is but non-existent.

³ Holy indeed is he – now let “he” be Thee! – who makes these words his own—arising with them in his mind, recalling them throughout the day, at night bringing them with him as he goes to sleep. And now they are engrained within Her mind. His dreams are happy and his rest secure, Her peace amazing, his safety certain and his body healed because he sleeps and wakens with the truth before him always. S/He will save the world because S/he gives the world what S/he receives each time S/he practices the words of truth. What is Truth for One Son surely must be Truth for every One.

⁴ Today we practice simply. For the words we use are mighty, – for their intention must be Universal – and they need no thoughts beyond themse­­lves to change the mind of him who uses them. For the words that stand for right ideas have the greatest power to effect an holy₁ change of mind. So wholly₁ is it changed that it is now the treasury in which God places all His gifts and all His Love to be distributed to all the world, increased in giving, kept complete because its sharing is unlimited. For one mind becomes all minds when We’re joined. And thus you learn to think with God and realize that Your own mind is as Infinite as God’s. This is an awesome realization! Christ’s vision has restored your sight by salvaging your mind. All is truly Mind, including vision.

⁵ We honor you today for Your willingness to once again so gladly live for God. Yours is the right to perfect holiness you now accept. For You are perfect and You are holy! With this acceptance is salvation brought to everyone, for who could cherish sin when holiness like this has blessed the world? Who could despair when perfect joy is yours, available to all as remedy for grief and misery, all sense of loss, and for complete escape from sin and guilt? You are Our glorious example! Belovèd Sister, belovèd Brother.

⁶ And who would not be brother to you now—you, his redeemer and his savior. For a mind aligned with God shows forth just how exquisite is the Holy Spirit. Who could fail to welcome you into his heart with loving invitation, eager to unite with one like him in holiness? For Holy always recognizes Holy. Like meeting Like. You are as God created you. And that is Holy! These words dispel the night, and darkness is no more. The light is come today to bless the world, for you have recognized the Son of God, – both as Your own Self and as Your Brother – and in your recognition is the world’s. Can You imagine everyOne blessed with that Holy Vision! See the world transformed back into Heaven!
