LESSON THREE HUNDRED FOURTEEN

L e s s o n  314

I seek a future different from the past.

The past has been an egregious disappointment for eons.  I go beyond seeking to deeply longing for a future free from fear and frustration, a future free from all failure, for We lean on God.  Our goal is freedom.

¹ From new perception of the world there comes a future very different from the past. What a grand promise, Light in the darkness illuminating all We need to know. The future now is recognized as but extension of the present.  In other words, the Good of Now extends on eternally.  Past mistakes can cast no shadows on it, – for there is no past – so that fear has lost its idols and its images, and being formless, it has no effects. Death will not claim the future now, – there’s no point to it – for life is now its goal, and all the needed means are happily provided, joyfully by God. Who can grieve or suffer when the present has been freed, – sin that never happened is forgiven; how free the present – extending its security and peace into a quiet future filled with hope?

A hope justified by Reality, which is but another name for Heaven.

² Father, we were mistaken in the past and choose to use the present to be free.  A peaceful, happy present does negate the worst of pasts. all Now do we leave the future in Your hands, – in peaceful, perfect trust that all is well and always will be – leaving behind our past mistakes – which were but nightmares; they were never real – and sure that You will keep Your present promises and guide the future in their holy light.  You are always present and always now.  For  this fact I am so very grateful.

What is the Last Judgment?

The same as the first: “This is My belovèd Son in whom I am well pleased.”  And My Son is Every One.

¹ Second Coming gives the Son of God the gift to hear the Voice for God proclaim that what is false is false and what is true has never changed.  Therefore, it is very clear that S/He must be still the same as S/He is forever.  Be-ing has been completely unaffected by any dream. And this the judgment is in which perception ends.  For once You finally understand that, the game is over.  It is only fun if You think it’s real.  Here’s how it happens. At first you see a world which has accepted this as true, projected from a now corrected mind.  It seems like everything is born anew. And with this holy sight, perception gives a silent blessing and then disappears, its goal accomplished and its mission done.  Where once You were blind to Reality, now are You, once again, beginning to see.

² The final judgment on the world contains no condemnation. Be-ing but Love, God Knows no such thing as idle dreams. For it sees the world as totally forgiven, without sin and wholly purposeless. A thing that never could have really been and thus never was. Without a cause and now without a function in Christ’s sight, it merely slips away to nothingness. There it was born, and there it ends as well. And all the figures in the dream in which the world began go with it. Bodies now are useless and will therefore fade away because the Son of God is limitless.  Yes, indeed, bodies are signs of limits.  Limits came with separation and as Unity They will quickly disappear, giving place to Divine Identity.  Unique Divinity becomes Your name.

³ You who believed that God’s Last Judgment would condemn the world to hell along with you, – so said all those religions based on fear –  accept this holy truth: God’s Judgment is the gift of the correction He bestowed on all your errors, freeing you from them and all effects they ever seemed to have.  As I said in another venue: Sin is forgiven when it is forsaken. To fear God’s saving grace is but to fear complete release from suffering, return to peace, security and happiness, and union with your own identity.

You may eschew all fear and guilt, let go all Your ruminations on them.  None of it is real but God.   God is only Love, right here and right now; not a giant judge up there in the sky.

⁴ God’s Final Judgment is as merciful – remember that mercy is synonym to loving-kindness – as every step in His appointed plan to bless His Son and call him to return to the eternal peace He shares with him. This is the point of A Course In Miracles.  Why the emphasis on forgiveness but so You will know that God has more than forgiven You, for He knows Your so-called ‘sins’ never happened.  Would that We All could see Truth so clearly.  Forgiveness is simply the bridge to Your understanding this.  Be not afraid of love. For it alone can heal all sorrow, wipe away all tears, and gently waken from his dream of pain the Son whom God acknowledges as His.  You, belovèd One. Be not afraid of this.  Instead, embrace it.  Salvation asks you give it welcome.  What is salvation but Your joyous realization of Your true Reality. And the world awaits your glad acceptance, which will set it free.  For one Consciousness Awake can rouse billions.  Do You see the potential for blessing Your Brothers from simply healing Your own mind? Minds are joined.

⁵ This is God’s Final Judgment: “You are still My holy Son, forever innocent, forever loving and forever loved, as limitless as your Creator and completely changeless and forever pure. You’ve just been sleeping and are lost in dreams. Therefore awaken and return to Me. I am your Father and you are My Son.”

You are the so dearly begotten One.
