LESSON TWO HUNDRED-EIGHTY SEVEN

You are my goal, my Father. Only You.

For when I have the experience of You, I have the experience of All.  And it is absolutely wonderful.

¹ Where would I go but Heaven?  It is important here to clarify that Heaven is a state of mind and is not a location.  As Reality, so are New York, Moscow, Beijing, London!  What could be a substitute for happiness?  And is there any happiness that could be apart from God? How could there be when You, Father-Mother, are the Source of Good. What gift could I prefer before the peace of God?  A peace that’s filled with joy overflowing. What treasure would I seek and find and keep that can compare with my identity?  What can possibly compare with Your Reality of Me!  Dear Father-Mother, Who and What am I? You have the answers. And would I rather live with fear than love?  That would be nothing but insanity!

² You are my goal, my Father. What but You could I desire to have? With You, All Good is consistent, continually forever. What way but that which leads to You could I desire to walk? All other ways are dead-ends, quite useless.  Going round and round in birth-death circles.  And what except the memory of You could signify to me the end of dreams and futile substitutions for the truth?  And what but You could be Reality?  There is none other.   I look to You in every need; You are the only Helper.  Never am I disappointed.  You always come through for Me.  Such is Your Nature, summed up in one word: and that Word is Love. You are my only goal.  There is none other that is important.  Not to Me at least! Your Son would be as You created him. I have been pretending otherwise, foolishly misled by the wily ego. Finally, I have come to My senses!  What way but this could I expect to recognize my Self and be at one with my Identity?  And thus in perfect harmony with My Self and with My God.  This mental state is Heaven.

What is the Holy Spirit?

 

The Holy Spirit is pure, perfect, holy.  All the things You think You couldn’t be; yet You really are!
That’s Holy Spirit!

¹The Holy Spirit mediates between illusions and the truth. It is a place the mind’s mis-sense as ego can go before it recalls that it really is Divine. As He must bridge the gap between reality and dreams, perception leads to knowledge through the grace that God has given Him, – unlike yields to like – to be His gift to everyone who turns to Him for truth.  The Holy Truth of what S/He really is. Across the bridge that He provides – a kindly non-judgmental state of mind (which All should adopt!)– are dreams all carried to the truth, – ever so gently – to be dispelled before the light of knowledge. Gently disappearing in the Light of Truth, and transforming to Reality, and Awakening in gentle wonder as the Son of God We have always been. There are sights and sounds forever laid aside. And where they were perceived before, forgiveness has made possible perception’s tranquil end.  Nothing has been lost; all Good is still here.

Nightmares are over; Heaven no longer pushed up in the sky, but ever-present.

² The goal the Holy Spirit’s teaching sets is just this end of dreams. For sights and sounds must be translated from the witnesses of fear to those of love.  What was an experience of hell is transformed by Heaven And when this is entirely accomplished, learning has achieved the only goal it has in truth: God’s Reality. For learning, as the Holy Spirit guides it to the outcome He perceives for it, becomes the means to go beyond itself, to be replaced by the Eternal Truth.  The Holy Spirit’s teaching is but total transformation: hell into Heaven.  From fear, and doubt, and misery, into happiness and peace.

³ If you but knew how much your Father yearns to have you recognize your sinlessness, – how He longs for You to once again remember His beneficent Reality; and if You did – you would not let His Voice appeal in vain nor turn away from His replacement for the fearful images and dreams you made.  You are not what You think You are, but Something so much better! The Holy Spirit understands the means you made, by which you would attain what is forever unattainable.  For the Holy Spirit is the bridge from hell to Heaven.  This cannot be said too often as You learn to go to Him for every need You have. And if you offer them to Him, He will employ the means you made for exile to restore your mind to where it truly is at home.  And see hellish fears gently yield to Heaven’s transformation.

⁴ From knowledge, – which is all things Real – where He has been placed by God, the Holy Spirit calls to you to let forgiveness rest upon your dreams and be restored to sanity and peace of mind.  The unforgiving heart is absent Love.  And where there is no Love, then there is fear. Without forgiveness will your dreams remain to terrify you. And the memory of all your Father’s Love will not return to signify the end of dreams has come.

Hard-heartedness is such a block to Love that becomes impenetrable until Love does dissolve it.

⁵ Accept your Father’s gift.  For It is priceless, the bridge that does return You to Love is called: Holy Spirit. It is a call from Love to Love that it be but itself. Love is a bridge that can breach all barricades, melting them away, when It is gladly, freely given. The Holy Spirit is His gift by Which the quietness of Heaven is restored to God’s beloved Son. Do You begin to see just how Loved by God You really are? Would you refuse to take the function of completing God when all He wills is that you be complete?  Now would You not gladly accept His Love?  For It is far, far lovelier than all things found in the world.

Feel His gentle Love calling You to come Home through the path of Love and forgiveness.
The Bridge of Holy Spirit patiently awaits You Presence.
