LESSON TWO HUNDRED-SIXTY SIX

Workbook PART II

L e s s o n  266

 

My holy Self abides in you, God’s Son.

So speaks God, so speak I, to each of My belovèd Others.  For God’s Self abides as each and every precious One of Us.

 

¹Father, You gave me all Your Sons to be my saviours and my counselors in sight; the bearers of Your holy Voice to me.  My belovèd Friends who would wake up along with Me in this holy endeavour.  We All the joyous Sons of God, We are in this together; Brothers, Sisters in this Awakening. In them are You reflected, and in them does Christ look back upon me from my Self.  Christ is God’s very Presence, each of You completely precious and so very loved. Let not Your Son forget Your holy Name.  Remember for Yourself and remember for All Your Others.  Let not Your Son forget His holy Source.  You come not from Your parents and a birth.  You come straight from God, as Light streaming forth from all stars and sun. Let not Your Son forget His name is Yours.  Help Me see only God: the face of Love, as All My Others.  To look into My Brother’s eyes and remember God, thus forgetting the ego.  For I now see only One can have ascendancy as Me.

Let this be clear: it’s One or the other, God or the ego.  Which one shall it be?  Choice belongs to Me.  Time to choose again.  I make Christ – God’s conscious Presence – My choice now and from henceforth.

 

²This day we enter into paradise, – it is the Peace of Heaven right where You are – calling upon God’s Name and on our own, acknowledging our Self in each of us, united in the holy Love of God.  Self is but another name for Christ’s Wholeness as Our Individuality. How many saviours God has given us!  How can we lose the way to Him, when He has filled the world with those who point to Him and given us the sight to look on them.  To look on them with eyes of Love, see them as They really are.

What is the Body?

 “Why?” says the ego, with grandiosity most arrogant and most obnoxious, “It is most obviously what I am.  Anyone who isn’t blind can see that!” 

¹ The body is a fence the Son of God imagines he has built to separate parts of his Self from other parts. – The body states just who and what I am!” – It is within this fence, he thinks he lives, to die as it decays and crumbles. – Which does ensure that He can stay within the dream for just as long as He wants to.  The ego worships death for it does demonstrate that God is cruel, No-One to trust! – For within this fence he thinks that he is safe from love. – What Love can there be in such a God?  This is how He thinks; this is how He dreams, sleeping Son of God. His stance ensures that He won’t want to go Home, not to a God Who kills His children off. – Identifying with his safety, he regards himself as what his safety is. – He gives  to Himself the only power; yet it isn’t real. –How else could he be certain he remains within the body, – and He fears to step outside His tiny boundaries for fear that it will put an end to His dream of – keeping love outside? and thereby end all dreaming forever.  Do not underestimate the attachment of the sleeping Son of God to dreams.

² The body will not stay. Yet this he sees as double safety. It ends dreams that are tiresome, yet does not end dreaming.

For the Son of God’s impermanence is “proof” his fences work and do the task his mind assigns to them.  It proves to Him the separation does remain successful; His goal still achieved.

For if his oneness still remained untouched, who could attack and who could be attacked? Who could be victor? Who could be his prey? Who could be victim? Who the murderer? And if he did not die, what “proof” is there that God’s eternal Son can be destroyed?  The story’s over.  His whole ‘accomplishment’ but nonsense.  The drama nothing.  Eons of ‘history’ shown up as pointless.

³ The body is a dream. – And, thus, never real. All ‘history’ a fantasy, including ego’s body, its prized ‘creation’. – Like other dreams, it sometimes seems to picture happiness but can quite suddenly revert to fear, where every dream is born.  – And why is this so? – For only love creates in truth, and truth can never fear. Made to be fearful, must the body serve the purpose given it. But we can change the purpose which the body will obey by changing what we think that it is for.  It was made solely for separation.

⁴ The body is the means by which God’s Son returns to sanity. – For through it can S/He access Her Brothers, He touch His Brothers. – Though it was made to fence him into hell without escape, yet has the goal of Heaven been exchanged for the pursuit of hell.  Now it is reversed! The Son of God extends his hand to reach his brother and to help him walk along the road with him.  Bodies joined in the Love of Brotherhood.  No longer to please Oneself, but now to include All Others.

Now is the body holy. Now it serves to heal the mind that it was made to kill. Now it chooses Life, its one true Purpose.

⁵ You will identify with what you think will make you safe. Whatever it may be, you will believe that it is one with you. And so it becomes; Your choice makes it so.

Your safety lies in truth and not in lies. For Reality only is benign.

Love is your safety. It always has been, and it always will be.

Fear does not exist. Only in the dreaming did it seem real, and Truth shows up its unreality.  Identify with love, and you are safe. Identify with love, and you are home. Identify with love, and find your Self.

And as Yourself, eternal happiness!  Welcome Home Loved One!
