LESSON ONE HUNDRED-FIFTY-FIVE

L e s s o n  155

I will step back and let Him lead the way.

For I do nor know where I’m going, much less the right way! I put My trust in God, Elder Brother, and the Holy Spirit. I am well cared for, as are All who put their trust there as well.

“Defer to Me,” He says quite frequently. “For I can see the higher, wider view. Why would You think to handle things alone? That’s the epitome of separation, and it’s senseless. Are You not glad to be so companioned? I am glad for You! What joy You’ll feel when You Love as I do.”

¹ There is a way of living in the world that is not here, although it seems to be. You do not change appearance, though you smile more frequently. Your forehead is serene; your eyes are quiet. And the ones who walk the world as you do recognize their own. Yet those who have not yet perceived the way will recognize you also and believe that you are like them as you were before. Now is everything very different. And through both trials and triumphs My mind is both calm and quiet. For I’m not doing this all by myself; I have a Partner. An awesome Partner. Now i really want to be just as He. His Companionship is like no Other.

² The world is an illusion. For it does ignore God’s Reality, all the Real there is. It nurses on the lies, a greedy baby with a bottle. Those who choose to come to it are seeking for a place where they can be illusions and avoid their own reality. Why would You want to be unreal, for it’s pure insanity!. Yet when they find their own reality is even here, then they step back and let it lead the way. They then begin to defer to Me, as I defer to God, as Holy Spirit. What other choice is really theirs to make? To let illusion walk ahead of truth is madness, but to let illusion sink behind the truth and let the truth stand forth as what it is, is simple sanity. It is both relieving and relaxing. The strains to maintain illusion vanish.

³This is the simple choice we make today. The mad illusion will remain awhile in evidence for those to look upon who chose to come and have not yet rejoiced to find they were mistaken in the choice. They cannot learn directly from the truth, because they have denied that it is so. And so they need a teacher who perceives their madness, but who still can look beyond illusion to the simple truth in them. What a Gift it is to see an Other as the Christ; a Gift to Him and to You! It’s the best thing you can do in the dream, to bless Yourself and to bless Your Brother.

⁴ If truth demanded they give up the world, it would appear to them as if it asked the sacrifice of something that is real. Many have chosen to renounce the world while still believing its reality, and they have suffered from a sense of loss and have not been released accordingly. Others have chosen nothing but the world, and they have suffered from a sense of loss still deeper, which they did not understand. For them, there is not even one other.

Unreality makes no-one happy.

⁵ Between these paths there is another road that leads away from loss of every kind, for sacrifice and deprivation both are quickly left behind. You seem to be in the world, yet as Paul says, not of it. Your mindset is now quite different from the thinking of the world. More peace and greater joy have come to You. This is the way appointed for you now. You walk this path as others walk, nor do you seem to be distinct from them although you are indeed. Thus can you serve them while you serve yourself and set their footsteps on the way which God has opened up to you, and them through you. Is there something better for You to do than bless Your Brother? If there is, it’s yet to be discovered. It is the stunning recognition that Your Neighbour – a.k.a. Your Brother – is as lovable as You; no more, no less.

We are All intrinsic Parts of One great Whole, and We don’t exist without each Other. How, then, can You discard Your Brother?

A motto for every time, every place, every One: ‘Instead of looking out for Number One, I’m looking out for Every One.’ And then do it.

⁶ Illusion still appears to cling to you that you may reach them. (“Them” refers to Your needful Brothers, not to their illusions.) Yet it has stepped back, – and They can feel it, though They know not what is the difference – and it is not illusion that they hear you speak of nor illusion which you bring their eyes to look on and their minds to grasp. Yet somehow can They now understand it; the Truth which You Presence. Now can the truth, which walks ahead of you, speak to them through illusion, for the road leads past illusion now, while on the way you call to them that they may follow you. Some will and Some won’t. The Ones Who do will have their blessings now; the Ones Who wait will have their blessings late. No-one can be forced. All come to remembering; albeit sooner or later.

⁷All roads will lead to this one in the end. For sacrifice and deprivation – which come with dreaming – are paths which lead nowhere, choices for defeat, and aims which will remain impossible. All this steps back as truth comes forth in you to lead your brothers from the ways of death – back on the happy path that leads to Life as – right here and right now – Eternal – and set them on the way to happiness. Their suffering is but illusion. Yet they need a guide to lead them out of it, for they mistake illusion for the truth.
They’ve not realized that They abide wholly in illusions; a strange “life” indeed. Would You not free them, sharing Who You are, and Who must They be, just like You as well.

⁸ Such is salvation’s call, and nothing more. It asks that you accept the truth, and let it go before you, lighting up the path of ransom from illusion. It is not a ransom with a price. What is Truth but God Be-ing Your cloud by day, fire by night, thus to lead Your way. There is no cost, but only gain. Truth brings but freedom to its champions though They be cast into man-made hell, surely must God free them. Illusion can but seem to hold in chains the holy Son of God. It is but from illusions he is saved. You can know Reality immediately for it is but Good, no evil. So dwell not in illusions for they are slavery. They are hiding Love from Thee. As they step back, he finds himself again. They will dissolve as You cling to Our God, which is all power.

⁹Walk safely now, yet carefully, because this path is new to you. And you may find that you are tempted still to walk ahead of truth and let illusions be your guide. To change back Your Guide from God to ego would be sad mistake. Stay with God; because Your Brothers need Your fidelity for their inspiration. Your holy brothers have been given you to follow in your footsteps as you walk with certainty of purpose to the truth. It goes before you now, that they may see something with which they can identify, something they understand to lead the way. Absolute fidelity to God is quite noticeable, and inspiring. Would You not lift Your Brothers out of hell, right along with You? Then please stay faithful.

¹⁰ Yet at the journey’s ending there will be no gap, no distance between truth and you. Just Your peace and glorious happiness to finally be back to Reality. And all illusions walking in the way you travelled will be gone from you as well, with nothing left to keep the truth apart from God’s completion, holy as Himself. The way it’s always ever been, even while We dreamed some awful dreams for eons. Finally, the endless nightmares over. Step back in faith, and let truth lead the way. You know not where you go, but One Who knows goes with you. Let Him lead you with the rest.
You need make no more ego decisions, You’re gladly led and guided by God as the Holy Spirit. His loving plan for all the sleeping Sons of God’s salvation.

¹¹ When dreams are over, time has closed the door on all the things that pass, and miracles are purposeless, the holy Son of God will make no journeys. For Our happiness, perfection, peace are all right here and now. There will be no wish to be illusion rather than the truth. And we step forth toward this as we progress along the way that truth points out to us. This is our final journey, which we make for everyone. We must not lose our way. We must stay focused and not wander here, there, and everywhere! For as truth goes before us, so it goes before our brothers who will follow us. Truth – another word for God – does lead Us, and how glad We are.

¹² We walk to God. Pause and reflect on this. Could any way be holier or more deserving of your effort, of your love, and of your full intent? Could there be a better destination? And is there another destination? There surely isn’t! What way could give you more than everything or offer less and still content the holy Son of God? We walk to God. The truth that walks before us now is one with Him and leads us to where He has always been. What way but this could be a path that you would choose instead? For sure that question is rhetorical! God the only way, the only destination possible.

¹³ Your feet are safely set upon the road which leads the world to God. It is not made of yellow bricks, but paved with the purest gold. It does not wear, for those who venture on the road are so joyous, that their feet do barely touch the ground! Look not to ways that seem to lead you elsewhere. This is the only destination that does not lead to hell. Dreams are not a worthy guide for you who are God’s Son, and with God abide. Forget not He has placed His hand in yours and given you your brothers in His trust that you are worthy of His trust in you. He cannot be deceived. His trust has made your pathway certain and your goal secure. You will not fail your brothers nor your Self. Not with God Himself as Your Companion.
His Companionship does elevate You to a state of Mind so long forgotten.

¹⁴ And now He asks but that you think of Him a while each day that He may speak to you and tell you of His Love, reminding you how great His trust, how limitless His Love. To say His Love is bountiful is quite an understatement. In your name and His own, which are the same, – there is no separation, for God and We are universally related – we practice gladly with this thought today:

¹⁵ I will step back and let Him lead the way,
For I would walk along the road to Him.

For I do not remember where We’re going; yet when We arrive, I will surely know the Place again. And I will be free to be the Real Me: Son of God again.
