There is no love but God’s.

How interesting that within the dream, Love has been confused with the partiality of sex and possession, when Love – to Be Love – must be the Love of God and be Universal.

¹ Perhaps you think that different kinds of love are possible. Perhaps you think there is a kind of love for this, a kind for that; a way of loving one, another way of loving still another. Love is one.

Love is One.  You either Love the entire Universe or You don’t Love at all.

It has no separate parts and no degrees; no kinds nor levels, no divergencies and no distinctions. It is like itself, unchanged throughout. It never alters with a person or a circumstance. It is the heart of God, and also of His Son.

It is – to the self-centered ego mindset – just unbelievably consistent.  So much so that it seems unreal, almost preposterous, to believe that Love could be unchanging, despite circumstances.

The ego itself is quite inconsistent, for it does expect to be loved like that (no matter what it does) yet not to even think of loving that way in return.  For its m.o. is to get, not give.

² Love’s meaning is obscure to anyone who thinks that love can change. He does not see that changing love must be impossible.

For, run by the ego, this love changes.  And the ego does project itself upon Heaven, and thus it sees but ‘the world’.

And thus he thinks that he can love at times and hate at other times. He also thinks that love can be bestowed on one and yet remain itself although it is withheld from others. To believe these things of love is not to understand it. – Beliefs like these are just insanity! – If it could make such distinctions it would have to judge between the righteous and the sinner and perceive the Son of God in separate parts.

Yet to God – to Love – there is no ‘righteous’ and there is no ‘sinner’.  There is but the Oneness – the Wholeness – of the Son of God.  Uniqueness – Individuality – are misidentified by the ego as separation.

³ Love cannot judge. – It cannot judge, for this Love is the opposite of judgment, seeing all the Universe with beneficent vision.  Its function is blessing. – As it is one itself, it looks on all as one. Its meaning lies in oneness. – What does this mean but that, by Its very Nature Love is All there is, and thus is All-inclusive; that it is only Love by embracing All. – And it must elude the mind that thinks of it as partial or in part. There is no love but God’s, and all of love is His. – God does not have Love.  God is Love Itself.  And this Love is the very substance of All Life.  It is Our substance too, and why We cannot die, despite the dream’s illusions. Along with Life, It is the governing Principle of All the Universe. – There is no principle which rules where love is not. Love is a law without an opposite. – We say – as We have said of God: “We say ‘God is’ and then We cease to speak.  So too: We say ‘Love is’ and then We cease to speak. And by Our silence We are inviting God/Love to reveal Its Beauty as Us. Please take close note of the preposition. This is not theory.  It is Your Be-ing. – Its wholeness is the power holding everything as one, the link between the Father and the Son which holds them both forever as the same.

For Be-ing is Power, although the ego thinks its puny sense of power lies in doing and having.  These ideas are ego childishness.

What need is there for an Idea to do or have, when Be-ing is marvelous, complete and eternal, by What It is.  And What It is is What You are forever.

⁴ No course whose purpose is to teach you what you really are could fail to emphasize there is no difference in what you are and what love is. Love’s meaning is your own, and shared by God Himself. For what you are is what He is. There is no love but His, and what He is is everything there is. There is no limit placed upon Himself, and so are you unlimited as well.

As You understand and accept this Truth, then do You understand and accept What You are as Part of God.  For You have no existence that could be apart from God.

This is good news!  Just not to the ego, which would have You think You have no existence apart from it.  What arrant nonsense!

⁵ No laws the world obeys can help you grasp love’s meaning. What the world believes was made to hide love’s meaning and to keep it dark and secret. There is not one principle the world upholds but violates the truth of what love is and what you are as well. Seek not within the world to find your Self. Love is not found in darkness and in death.

LOVE IS FOUND TO BE LIGHT AND LIFE ITSELF!

Yet it is perfectly apparent to eyes that see and ears that hear its Voice.

Listen always for the Voice for Love, for It is always speaking to You.  Now learn to listen and to let It speak for You!

⁶ Today we practice making free our mind of all the laws you think you must obey, of all the limits under which you live, and all the changes which you think are part of human destiny. Today we take the largest single step this course requests in your advance toward its established goal. If you achieve the faintest glimmering of what love means today, you have advanced in distance without measure and in time beyond the count of years to your release.

⁷ Let us together, then, be glad to give some time to God today and understand there is no better use for time than this. For 15 minutes twice today escape from every law in which you now believe. Open your mind and rest. The world that seems to hold you prisoner can be escaped by anyone who does not hold it dear. Withdraw all value you have placed upon its meager offerings and senseless gifts, and let the Gift of God replace them all.

God Gifts You with both freedom and perfect safety, so fear not. Gladly accept them, for they bring only happiness to You.

⁸ Call to your Father, certain that His Voice will answer. He Himself has promised this. – And He is faithful! – And He Himself will place a spark of truth within your mind wherever you give up a false belief, a dark illusion of your own reality and what love means.

Let His Love teach You of Yourself anew.  Love gladly does it!

He will shine through your idle thoughts today and help you understand the truth of love. In loving gentleness, He will abide with you as you allow His Voice to teach love’s meaning to your clean and open mind. And He will bless the Lesson with His Love.

Obviously!  Since the Lesson is Love.

A “clean and open mind” is such a Joy!

⁹ Today the legion of the future years of waiting for salvation disappears before the timelessness of what you learn.

Salvation is always here and now.  To put it somewhere far off in the future is to be bamboozled by the ego!

Do not buy its lies!  NOW is the appointed time for freedom!

Let us give thanks today that we are spared a future like the past. Today we leave the past behind us, never more to be remembered. And we raise our eyes upon a different present, where a future shines unlike the past in every attribute.

You can do this here and now.  For this I came 2000 years ago to Guide You.

¹⁰ The world in infancy is newly born. And we will watch it grow in strength and health to shed its blessing upon all who come to learn to cast aside the world they thought was made in hate to be love’s enemy. Now are they all made free along with us. Now are they all our brothers in God’s Love.

Just remember: Love is All-Inclusive.

¹¹ We will remember them throughout the day because we cannot leave a part of us outside our love if we would know our Self. – Oh now I see this clearly.  Since We are indissolubly this One, then hating a Brother is like detesting Your hair or index finger.  At least three times an hour think of one who makes the journey with you and who came to learn what you must learn. And as he comes to mind, give him this message from your Self:

¹² I bless you, brother, – I bless You sister – with the Love of God
Which I would share with you. For I would learn
The joyous lesson that there is no love
But God’s and yours and mine and everyone’s.

What I give to You, I receive in turn.  And vice versa.  For I have now learned the lesson that giving and receiving are one and the same.
