LESSON EIGHTY

TRANSCRIBER’S NOTE: The Course text is in bold face. The Guidance is in normal type In His Guidance, He has asked Me to capitalize the pronouns You and We as an acknowledgement of the Divinity of All of Us, an acknowledgement of Equality, an expression of His Love and respect for You. When You see the word ‘YOU’ capitalized in the Guidance, know that He is not just speaking to YOU, He is honoring YOU.

Let me recognize my problems have been solved.

Now let Me get this straight, what You’re saying here.  This really is a blanket statement?

Most assuredly.  Remember that there is no order of difficulties in miracles. None whatsoever.  Two plus two always equals four, even two plus two quadradecillions.  And so, the problem is unimportant to the healing.

Problems exist but in the dream, and the dream isn’t real.  One problem, one solution.  Wake up, and end the separation.

I see. No matter what We’re dreaming, waking up does heal it.  No order of difficulty because problems aren’t real.

That’s it!  You’ve got it.  What ‘heals’ is the realization that there’s nothing there to heal.  Thus You make and stay in the connection.  Doing this does end the separation, which is all that is needful of healing.  You see now that it is very simple.

 

¹ If you are willing to recognize your problems, – to look squarely at them without flinching – you will recognize that you have no problems. Your one central problem – which is – obviously – separation. – has been answered, and you have no other. Therefore you must be at peace. Salvation does depend on recognizing this one problem and understanding that it has been solved. One problem-one solution.  The perfect harmony of God’s healing is but re-union.  Separation gone, as if it never had existed, which – as truth – it hadn’t. Salvation is accomplished. Life, Truth and Love, here as They always have been; now are most gratefully acknowledged.  Freedom from conflict has been given you.  Rejection of Oneness – separation – is always painful. Freedom from every kind of pain is easily accomplished by ending self-imposed separation. Accept that fact, and you are ready to take your rightful place in God’s plan for salvation.  And when You do it, You’ve chosen to connect, thereby ending Your separation.  Happiness and freedom return to a mind so long enslaved.  How could it possibly be so easy? Remember Your Mother’s old saying: when You bang Your head against a wall, it feels so good when You stop!

Why not stop banging?  It is that simple!

 

² Your only problem has been solved!  Is it really that simple?  Yes it is! The idea of separation, making Your own decisions, seemed like such a little thing.  The size of the ramifications were surprising. And then addicting. Yet is the correction very simple. Repeat this over and over to yourself today with gratitude and conviction. I know the problem, and now I know the solution, although it keeps escaping Me to actually stop the separation and now do it. You have recognized your only problem, opening the way for the Holy Spirit to give you God’s answer. You have laid deception aside and seen the light of truth. You have accepted salvation for yourself by bringing the problem to the answer. And you can recognize the answer because the problem has been identified.  With an answer so very simple, why has it not yet been completely implemented? Or even a whole-hearted beginning?  Good question.  You know the answer from Your own experience: it is addiction, a simple habit that seems hard to break.

Self-discipline led by a willing heart.  You surely have that!  Let it be stronger than the habit of old self-indulgence.  It has always brought – and is still bringing – only misery!

³ You are entitled to peace today. A problem that has been resolved cannot trouble you. Only be certain you do not forget that all problems are the same.  Else will a ‘new’ one rise up to trouble You, yet will it be another form of the same old problem! Just that same old ‘devil’: separation, wearing a new hat! Their many forms will not deceive you while you remember this. One problem-one solution.  You could dance to it – to Your solution.  Indeed it is a dance a simple “two step”₁: Pause what You’re doing, ask for Guidance.It will be given. Peace returns to You.  Why?  You have broken the separation. Accept the peace this simple statement brings.  And implement it by asking for help, and then listening, and then following.

⁴ In our longer practice periods today, we will claim the peace that must be ours when the problem and the answer have been brought together. The problem must be gone because God’s answer cannot fail. Having recognized one, you have recognized the other.  For somewhere within You do remember the Love and Belonging of Reality. And all relationships are an attempt to recreate that feeling. They have not succeeded for they remain exclusive, which Reality is All-inclusive. The solution is inherent in the problem. You are answered and have accepted the answer. You are saved.  Wander not back into separation!

⁵ Now let the peace that your acceptance brings be given you. Close your eyes and receive your reward. You are not alone when You feel My Presence. You are not alone, even when You don’t.  Remember My words to All of You: I will never leave You nor forsake You.₂  I am still with you  Recognize that your problems have been solved. They all do stem from Your strange confidence in separation. Recognize that you are out of conflict, free, and at peace. Thanks to Our Joining.  It is not just that I am part of Reality and know it.  This is true, yet is it only true because I have eschewed separation! I am not special.  I simply made the better choice, and You can make it as well. You know the reason: Above all, remember that you have one problem and that the problem has one solution. It is in this that the simplicity of salvation lies. It is because of this that it is guaranteed to work.  Your answer is right here, available.  It is quite simple: end separation by reaching out for Me, the Father, or the Holy Spirit.

⁶ Assure yourself often today that your problems have been solved. Repeat the idea with deep conviction as frequently as possible. And be particularly sure to remember to apply the idea for today to any specific problem that may arise. Say quickly:

 

⁷ Let me recognize this problem has been solved.  Reach out, feel My embrace and My support.

 

⁸ Let us be determined not to collect grievances today.  Be willing to forgive instantly a Brother’s aberration! Your forgiveness is a great help to Him! Gladly You let it go.  You would not be burdened by such things today. Such ego claims to vengeance. Let it rant and roar; do not join with it!  And You can let it do this without You. Join with Me; We will Love Him together. Let us be determined to be free of problems that do not exist.  In Our joining Others are not problems. Love appears, and heals.  Trust this simple means to Your salvation. The means is simple honesty. Do not deceive yourself about what the problem is, and you must recognize it has been solved.  All You need do is end separation.  Choose to join instead.  Together We move as Holy Spirit.
