LESSON TWENTY-SEVEN

The Guidance is in normal type In His Guidance, He has asked Me to capitalize the pronouns You and We as an acknowledgement of the Divinity of All of Us, an acknowledgement of Equality, an expression of His Love and respect for You. When You see the word ‘YOU’ capitalized in the Guidance, know that He is not just speaking to YOU, He is honoring YOU.

Above all else I want to see.  And, therefore, I am willing to make that My priority. In other words, I want My Real Vision more than I want a new car, a goldendoodle, a healing for My loved One, the whole kit and kaboodle of the ego’s constant demanding. God becomes My desire number One.

1 Today’s idea expresses something stronger than mere determination. It gives vision priority among your desires. For when I really see, the world becomes beautiful to Me.  You may feel hesitant about using the idea on the ground that you are not sure you really mean it. For sometimes lesser desires clamor for My attention.  They seem important, ‘though I know better. This does not matter. The purpose of today’s exercises is to bring the time when the idea will be wholly true a little nearer.  In other words, practice really does make perfect, when I will to be diligent!  This is putting ‘will’ to much better use than for all those Me, Me, Me desires.  And it brings such amazing happiness!

The key is but to ignore the ego, which will not take its demotion lightly!

2 There may be a great temptation to believe that some sort of sacrifice is being asked of you when you say you want to see above all else. If you become uneasy about the lack of reservation involved, add:

3 Vision has no cost to anyone.  Jesus tells Me so, and I do trust Him quite implicitly.  Yet the ego speaks so loudly to Me, so persistently!

4 If fear of loss still persists, add further:

5 It can only bless.

You know I would never lie to You; thus can You trust My words.  For I care only for Your happiness.  Ditto for God and the Holy Spirit.  We Love You so much.  Let Yourselves feel Our endless Love for You.

6 The idea for today needs many repetitions for maximum benefit. It should be used at least every half hour, and more often if possible. You might try for every 15 or 20 minutes. It is recommended that you set a definite time interval for using the idea when you wake or shortly afterwards and attempt to adhere to it throughout the day. It will not be difficult to do this, even if you are engaged in conversation or otherwise occupied at the time. You can still repeat one short sentence to yourself without disturbing anything that is going on.  Willingly I say yes, then I forget!  I say with Paul: “Wretched One that I am!”1

Belovèd!  We do not see You that way any more than We saw Paul as wretched!  To Us You All are so very lovely. Rest into the ever-present Arms of Love and feel Our Love for You.  This is not hyperbole but Truth about Our Love for Each One of You.

7 The real question is how often will you remember? How much do you want today’s idea to be true? Answer one of these questions, and you have answered the other. You will probably miss several applications and perhaps quite a number. Do not be disturbed by this, but do try to keep on your schedule from then on. If only once during the day you feel that you were perfectly sincere while you were repeating today’s idea, you can be sure that you have saved yourself many years of effort.  My words to You are both True and trustworthy: Above all else You do want to see.

For I know that in me, (that is, in my flesh) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with Me;but (how) to perform that which is good, I find not.
For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
