LESSON THREE HUNDRED FORTY TWO

L e s s o n  342

I let forgiveness rest upon all things,
For thus forgiveness will be given me.

Why?For what You give always do You get.  That’s a very easy clear equation.

¹ I thank You, Father, for Your plan to save me from the hell I made. – Pure insanity from which there has seemed to be no escape, save that of ‘dying’, which is, at best, temporary; and then – God help Us! – We’re back in here once again, like foolish, unremorseful recidivists. – It is not real. It really isn’t.  All You need to do is demonstrate this.

And You have given me the means to prove its unreality to me. It is the loving kindness of Our friend; it is forgiveness. The key is in my hand, and I have reached the door beyond which lies the end of dreams. Will I open it? I stand before the gate of Heaven, wondering if I should enter in and be at home. Yet “I” it really isn’t; it is the little “i” that is well known as ‘ego’.

Let me not wait again today.  Let’s not further elongate Our seeming endless period of ancient torture. Let me forgive all things, and let creation be as You would have it be and as it is. Let Me free My mind from the so-called ‘past’ and let me stay Self squarely in the Now. Such is the way to be very happy!

Let me remember that I am Your Son, and opening the door at last, – the one I shut so long ago, time out of mind, You could say – forget illusions in the blazing light of truth, as memory of You returns to me.  I can feel the gentle warmth of the Love You are dear Father-Mother of Us All.

² Brother, forgive me now.  Ancient hatreds transformed by the Light of God to such kind Love. I come to you to take you home with me.  I know You will go, for We share but One Purpose: to but regain Our rightful minds. And as we go, the world goes with us on the way to God.  What a happy throng!  Will You come join Us?  Feel My outstretched hand.

– and, in such an attack, what is saying “I” is not I, it is the ego; yet I is standing by. – And it is only that which keeps me safe.

¹ Father, Your Son is holy. – And I am Your Son. Each and every One of Us is the Son. – I am he on whom You smile in love and tenderness so deep and dear and still the universe smiles back on You and shares Your holiness. – For Love must always be reciprocal. What is given mus alwayst be received. – How pure, how safe, how sacred then are we, – for We come straight from You, Our loving Source, belovèd God – abiding in Your smile, – for Your Joy can be but Our only Creator – with all Your Love bestowed upon us, – as Us, for this Love is but Our Substance –We are forever – living one with You in brotherhood and Fatherhood – no separation – complete, in sinlessness so perfect that the Lord of Sinlessness conceives us as His Son, a universe of Thought completing Him.  Existence is completely mental We live only as mind.

² Let us not then attack our sinlessness, – choosing to live in opposition to its lovingkindness – for it contains the Word of God to us, – and not just to Us, but, indeed, as Us – and in its kind reflection we are saved.  As the Word of God is only Love, so are We just like It.

And repeating again: God is Love, and as God’s Offspring, so then are We only identical to Love. It is Our Substance, Our Consciousness.
