LESSON THREE HUNDRED THIRTY NINE

I will receive whatever I request.

The world takes place completely in My mind.  So whatever I do see there grows from the ego mindset.  To change the picture, must I be willing to give up the dream for Reality.

¹ No one desires pain. But he can think that pain is pleasure. If He is insane: the ego mindset.

No one would avoid his happiness. – Countless Dreamers have. – But he can think that joy is painful, threatening, and dangerous.  Can such reasoning possibly be sane?  (Important question.)

Everyone will receive what he requests.  You think You are but an ego, yet are You the Son of God.  The Universe at Your command has been distorted, and the Son of God became a so-called ‘mortal’.  What a bizarre game that “tiny, mad idea” not only became, but did remain.

But he can be confused indeed about the things he wants, the state he would attain.   A state so insane does not befit the Holy Son of God, His belovèd One.

What can he then request that he would want when he receives it? He has asked for what will frighten him and bring him suffering. Choosing separation over and over, He has wholly forgotten Freedom.  Yet because of the Holy Spirit Freedom does remain available for Him.  There always is the opportunity to choose once again.

Let us resolve today to ask for what we really want, and only this, that we may spend this day in fearlessness, without confusing pain with joy or fear with love.  What is fearlessness but perfect Freedom, God’s ever-lasting Gift for His dear Son, both ‘male’ and ‘female’.  There is only One.

² Father, this is Your day. It is a day in which I would do nothing by myself but hear Your Voice in everything I do; – here lies Freedom’s key – requesting only what You offer me, accepting only thoughts You share with me.  This choice for the Mind of God – of Life, of Love – is true Freedom.
