LESSON TWO HUNDRED-EIGHTY SIX

The hush of Heaven holds my heart today.  Still, yet full of quiet joy, My heart, My mind, My life and My entire Be-ing.

¹ Father, how still today! How quietly do all things fall in place! – A silent, yet majestic symphony of Our happiness! For All Things are One. – This is the day – this day is precious – that has been chosen as the time in which I come to understand the lesson that there is no need that I do anything.  All I need do is just sit back and let You Be Me with no resistance.  Why not? You are already!

In You is every choice already made.  All We Know Together is Perfection.

In You has every conflict been resolved. For as You Peace is shining everywhere.

In You is everything I hope to find already given me. – As Elder Brother promises to Us, it is but Your pleasure to give Us the Kingdom! –Your peace is mine. My heart is quiet and my mind at rest. – The only greater Gift than these is Love. – Your Love is Heaven, and Your Love is mine. And Your Holy Love for Me is always, everywhere, and thus it is forever.  And, likewise, is My Love reciprocal!

² The stillness of today will give us hope that we have found the way and travelled far along it to a wholly certain goal. – A “wholly certain” and a Holy goal! – Today we will not doubt the end which God Himself has promised us. – For it is right now. It is completeness. Reunited Wholeness of the Sonship  – We trust in Him and in our Self, Who still is one with Him.  I have One Self, and it is both Holy God and wholly God.  And this is Truth for God’s whole Revelation, for All His Ideas ray out from Him, Who is both Our centre and Our unending circumference.

What is the Holy Spirit?

¹The Holy Spirit mediates between illusions and the truth. – Most of You have no idea not only Who, but What You really are.  Hence the necessity for both the Holy Spirit and this explanation.  Oh, You know the words all right, but not the music, nor how to dance to its exquisite melody. – As He must bridge the gap between reality and dreams, perception leads to knowledge through the grace that God has given Him, to be His gift to everyone who turns to Him for truth. Now what exactly is this ‘He’ that the Holy Spirit is?  Is He a person?  To You it seems that any “He” must be personified.  Yet is It more like Truth.  For Holy Spirit is – literally – What You are minus the separation.  So when You feel His Love, It is Your own You really feel.

You could say that all Dreamers do share Him, for He is the rest of Each One of You.  He makes Us All One.

Holy Spirit – once again, literally – is What We are, Our very Substance.

Across the bridge that He provides are dreams all carried to the truth, to be dispelled before the light of knowledge. There are sights and sounds forever laid aside. And where they were perceived before, forgiveness has made possible perception’s tranquil end.  When You forgive Your Brothers for what They never did, then must the dream be over.  ‘Right’ and ‘wrong’ alone are all that do perpetuate the dream.

² The goal the Holy Spirit’s teaching sets is just this end of dreams. For sights and sounds must be translated from the witnesses of fear to those of love. – Thus translation ends all misperception. – And when this is entirely accomplished, learning has achieved the only goal it has in truth. For learning, as the Holy Spirit guides it to the outcome He perceives for it, becomes the means to go beyond itself, to be replaced by the Eternal Truth.  There is a truth while You are dreaming, which says: none of this is Real.  Once that is accepted, then does Eternal Truth become Your Reality.

³ If you but knew how much your Father yearns to have you recognize your sinlessness, – i.e. Your Perfection Everlasting – you would not let His Voice appeal in vain nor turn away from His replacement for the fearful images and dreams you made.  As much as God yearns for You, do You yearn for Him. Why do You think You overeat, drink and ue drugs, shop endlessly for things, make Brothers wrong and finally sicken so that You can die? Because the dream tells You that God is reached only by dying. Tricky, is ego. Life without God is more pointless than death.

The Holy Spirit understands the means you made, by which you would attain what is forever unattainable. –How insane the dream; how very Sane the Holy Spirit. – And if you offer them to Him, He will employ the means you made for exile to restore your mind to where it truly is at home.  You need not know how; just lean into and trust Holy Spirit.  Remember this: Holy Spirit is not a thing, but the Substance of everything.

⁴ From knowledge, where He has been placed by God, the Holy Spirit calls to you to let forgiveness rest upon your dreams and be restored to sanity and peace of mind. When You forgive Your Brother for what He never did, it is because You are willing to accept the dream as unreal. That understanding brings You close to Heaven.

Without forgiveness will your dreams remain to terrify you.  For You are insisting that they are real. This insistence leaves You stuck fast in the dreaming.

And the memory of all your Father’s Love will not return to signify the end of dreams has come.  For You have turned Your back on God, on Love. Such is the high cost of unforgiveness.

Think You it’s worth it?  Thus would You be ‘right’ instead of happy.

⁵ Accept your Father’s gift. – So freely given. – It is a call from Love to Love that it be but itself. What else could it be? …  What else could You be?

The Holy Spirit is His gift by Which the quietness of Heaven is restored to God’s beloved Son. Would you refuse to take the function of completing God when all He wills is that you be complete?  You are already.  Yet You keep pretending that You aren’t.

Come Belovèd Ones, take My hand, and let’s run Home together.
