LESSON TWO HUNDRED-SEVENTY SEVEN

L e s s o n  277

Let me not bind Your Son with laws I made.  I have bound and tied Myself like an animal for slaughter.  And, indeed, I think I have killed the Son of God.  Yet I hear You say that He is indestructible, so His endless crucifixion by the ego has happened only in the dream.

Thus does guilt exist only in the dream.  You are innocent!  The cell of ego-dom, in which You were self-imprisoned, turns out to have no walls.  Just walk around the door You shut on God’s Love and Life and see a lovely sight indeed: Your freedom stretch beyond Eternity.  Free at last takes on an ever deeper meaning..

¹ Your Son is free, my Father. – How could I have thought it was otherwise? – Let me not imagine I have bound him with the laws I made to rule the body. – For the Son of God is not a body. – He is not subject to any laws I made by which I try to make the body more secure. – Not only is He freed from sin, sickness, death, but drugs, liquor, gluttony and every other possible addiction; every single form of self-imprisonment. What happy freedom! – He is not changed by what is changeable. He is not slave to any laws of time. He is as You created him because he knows no laws except the Law of Love.  And God’s Love frees Us from every kind of the dream’s addiction.

Freedom!  A word as beautiful as Love.

² Let us not worship idols, nor believe in any laws idolatry would make to hide the freedom of the Son of God.  And what are idols but to see all things as being matter instead of Spirit.  Yet this is but Your belief and not Reality at all.

He is not bound except by his beliefs. Which make Your limits, circumscribe Your ‘life’.

Yet what he is is far beyond his faith in slavery or freedom. – Allow a sense of Your enormity to dawn upon You. – He is free because he is his Father’s Son. –You are the Son of God; let that sink in!  This bears repeating, again and again!– And he can not be bound unless God’s Truth can lie and God can will that He deceive Himself.  And since those ideas are nonsense absolute, You can’t be bound!

There lies Your freedom.

What is the Christ?

 

The Christ is You belovèd Son of God Who thinks You are nothing but an ego. Wake up!  You’re dreaming.  Your mythology tells You that I, Jesus, am the only Christ and only Son and that is nonsense!  Do not believe it!  We are All the Son, for the Son is One, but that does not mean only one Brother.  Like to a hologram, each Son is, at once, both part and whole.

What does all this mean?  Let Us continue.

¹ Christ is God’s Son as He – Our Father-Mother – created Him. Creation is not past but is continual through Eternity.

He is the Self we share, – each Holy One of Us – uniting us with one another and with God as well. There is – there can be – no separation.

He  – the eternal Christ – is the Thought Which still abides within the Mind That is His Source. He has not left His holy home nor lost the innocence in which He was created. – Christ is purity: once Christ, always Christ.  Do You understand?  Nothing has happened.  The world and its long sinful story are a dream. He abides unchanged forever in the Mind of God.  As the Mind of God.   Mind is His Substance.

 

² Christ is the link that keeps you one with God and guarantees that separation is no more than an illusion of despair. For Christ is God’s Presence and Extension.

For hope forever will abide in Him. Hope is the confidence – the surety – that You are the Son of God forever.

Your mind is part of His and His of yours. As We have said so often: Minds are joined. And the Source where they are joined is God, Who’s also known as Mind.

He is the part in which God’s Answer lies, where all decisions are already made and dreams are over. Christ is the Son of God’s Reality, right here, right now, always and forever.

He remains untouched by anything the body’s eyes perceive. For though in Him His Father placed the means for your salvation, yet does He remain the Self Who, like His Father, knows no sin.  Where You and Christ (the Real You) do meet in the dream is but the Holy Spirit.  God, and Christ, and the Holy Spirit: the Trinity is One.  You never are alone belovèd Son.  What can be ended never was begun.

³ Home of the Holy Spirit and at home in God alone, does Christ remain at peace within the Heaven of your holy mind. I speak here of Your Reality, not of the dream.  And right where the dream abides Reality does stand alone, supreme.

This is the only part of you that has reality in truth. The rest is dreams. Yet will these dreams be given unto Christ to fade before His glory and reveal your holy Self, the Christ, to you at last.  The more You turn to Christ, to Holy Spirit, the looser grips the hold of the dream, until You are freed.

⁴ The Holy Spirit reaches from the Christ in you to all your dreams and bids them come to Him to be translated into truth. Right where You are, right here, right now – this is My litany – Christ is ever present!

He will exchange them for the final dream which God appointed as the end of dreams. For when forgiveness rests upon the world and peace has come to every Son of God, what could remain to keep things separate, for what remains to see except Christ’s face?  The first step – and all of the ones that follow – is forgiveness.

Forgive Yourself, and Your Brothers, for what No-one ever did!

⁵ And how long will this holy face be seen, — how soon will You allow the willingness? – when it is but the symbol that the time for learning now is over and the goal of the Atonement has been reached at last? When You recognize each Brother that You meet as Christ Himself.

So therefore let us seek to find Christ’s face and look on nothing else. –Eyes of Love do see Him everywhere! – As we behold His glory will we know we have no need of learning or perception or of time, or anything except the holy Self, the Christ Whom God created as His Son.  See Christ not just as Your Brother, but right where You are Yourself.
