LESSON NINETY-FOUR

L e s s o n  94

I am as God created me.

How can this be?  In the dream in which You dwell, all things change and are subject to decay.  This is the law of so-called ‘nature’, as if it were natural.  It isn’t.

Not only is there no decay with God, neither is there stagnation; for Your Creation (really Revelation) remains fresh, and new, and good.

¹ Today we continue with the one idea which brings complete salvation; the one statement which makes all forms of temptation powerless; the one thought which renders the ego silent and entirely undone. You are as God created you. – Forever, You are as God creates – or better yet – reveals You, for You have no beginning and, therefore, no ending.  Only the ego seems to have begun, and therefore, it must have an ending.  And You are not an ego. – The sounds of this world are still, the sights of this world disappear, and all the thoughts that this world ever held are wiped away forever by this one idea. Here is salvation accomplished. Here is sanity restored.

Here are You returned to You, with Your Right Mind restored to You.

² True light is strength, and strength is sinlessness.

For strength comes from standing as Your rightful Self, perfectly aligned with God.  With God there is no sin, and there is none with You.

If you remain as God created you, – And You always do! – you must be strong and light must be in you.

You are the Light itself.  There is no ‘You’ apart from Light.  Only the ego dwells as darkness, and the ego isn’t You.

He Who ensured your sinlessness must be the guarantee of strength and light as well.

For behold, He has made all things Good, including You!₁

You are as God created you. Darkness cannot obscure the glory of the Son of God. You stand in light, strong in the sinlessness in which you were created and in which you will remain throughout eternity.

You cannot sin because You are Love’s Living Presence

³ Today we will again devote the first five minutes of each waking hour to the attempt to feel the truth in you. Begin these times of searching with these words:

⁴ I am as God created me.
I am His Son eternally.

⁵ Now try to reach the Son of God in you.

S/He’s right where I think I am an ego.  It has been so long that I don’t have a memory of what it’s like to be the Holy Son of God.

This is the Self that never sinned nor made an image to replace reality. This is the Self which never left its home in God to walk the world uncertainly. This is the Self which knows no fear nor could conceive of loss or suffering or death.

And yet that Self is really Me: the Living Presence of My Love for God and All Creation.

⁶ Nothing is required of you to reach this goal except to lay all idols and self-images aside, – for they hide the Son – go past the long list of attributes, both “good” and “bad,” you have ascribed to yourself and wait in silent expectancy for the truth. God has Himself promised that it will be revealed to all who ask for it. You are asking now. You cannot fail because He cannot fail.

The little self You think You are, with all those attributes so negative is no more You than the lamppost on the corner.

⁷ If you do not meet the requirement of practicing for the first five minutes of every hour, at least remind yourself hourly:

⁸ I am as God created me. – Here and now, this very Holy Instant.
I am His Son eternally. Forever and still again, forever.

⁹ Tell yourself frequently today that you are as God created you. – Would it not be arrogant to think contrary? – And be sure to respond to anyone who seems to irritate you with these words:

¹⁰ You are as God created you.

You are as God creates You, right here, and right now.

You are His Son eternally.

Now and forever

¹¹ Make every effort to do the hourly exercises today. Each one you do will be a giant stride toward your release and a milestone in learning the thought system which this course sets forth.

Amen.  So be it.
