LESSON TWO HUNDRED-THIRTY SIX

L e s s o n  236

I rule my mind, which I alone must rule.  Consciousness is everything since You are not a body, for mind is not in body; rather, body is within Your mind.  This must be understood if You would rule Your mind with honour.

And then You will also rule Your body.

How wisely You use Your mind determines everything for You.

If You have pain or illness, look not to body for Your answers; look, instead, to mind.  What painful thinking is being manifested by Your body due to Your state of mind?  Which think You should be ‘doctored’?  Your body or Your mind?

 

¹ I have a kingdom I must rule. – It’s a Kingdom I have abdicated. There’s been a coup by ego over both My mind and body. – At times, it does not seem I am its king at all.  For I rule neither, but am always at effect of ego.

 

It seems to triumph over me and tell me what to think and what to do and feel. And yet it has been given me to serve whatever purpose I perceive in it. It’s time for a gentle revolution!

My mind can only serve. Today I give its service to the Holy Spirit to employ as He sees fit. – For Holy Spirit is but My Right Mind.  And it’s Holy Spirit or the ego! – I thus direct my mind, which I alone can rule. – Now I do take back My lost dominion. – And thus I set it free to do the Will of God.² Father, my mind is open to Your Thoughts and closed today to every thought but Yours. – For I would think in harmony with You, and with You alone. – I rule my mind and offer it to You. – For You are My Mind Accept my gift, for it is Yours to me.  With great gratitude do I accept Your holy dominion.  For I am either Be-ing You or I am in bondage to the cruel ego.  There are no other choices. I choose God.  The ‘self’ I’ve thought was ‘Me’ was but ego. Not so nice at all.  How good it feels to turn to You instead.  To feel so cherished, and to be willing to cherish Others.

What is Salvation?

¹Salvation is a promise made by God that you would find your way to Him at last. You deserve His Peace, Love and Happiness.  For They are Your very Substance, for You are Holy, and You are Christ as I am.

It cannot not be kept. – The Real does triumph! – It guarantees that time will have an end, and all the thoughts that have been born in time will end as well. God’s Word is given every mind which thinks that it has separate thoughts and will replace these thoughts of conflict with the Thought of peace.  Salvation is understanding that Good must replace evil.  For ‘evil’ is but a flimsy fantasy, while Good is Truth, is Reality, and is forever.  And where in forever does evil fit?  The answer: nowhere.

² The Thought of peace was given to God’s Son the instant that his mind had thought of war. Truth did negate it.  Yet has been the Son extremely stubborn.

Not only does He want His cake, He but wants to eat it too.  So came gentle peace to soothe and heal His stubborn mind.  And still the Son rejected His belovèd Source, and continues to turn His back on God.

Enter I, Your Elder Brother, gently leading You to Light.  No crucifixion for You, only My gentle reasoning.  For You must only come Home willingly.  There’s no other way.  You cannot be pushed into Heaven for You would have no eyes to see Its glory.

So We start with the “little willingness” and let it grow like baby Jesus in Egypt, safe from the hostile eyes and motives of the ego.

So is Your infant peace to be coddled.  It is to be cherished and adored just like the infant child of ancient parents.  So much longer has this old world been waiting for its freedom.

There was no need for such a Thought before, for peace was given without opposite and merely was. But when the mind is split, there is a need of healing. So the Thought which has the power to heal the split became a part of every fragment of the mind that still was one but failed to recognize its oneness. Now it did not know itself and thought its own identity was lost.  Each One of You has chosen to be a fragment, ignoring the Allness of Your Be-ing, because You have forgotten It.

³ Salvation is undoing in the sense that it does nothing, failing to support the world of dreams and malice. Thus it lets illusions go. By not supporting them, it merely lets them quietly go down to dust. And what they hid is now revealed-an altar to the holy Name of God whereon His Word is written, with the gifts of your forgiveness laid before it and the memory of God not far behind.  And what they hid is but Your Sonship.

⁴ Let us come daily to this holy place and spend a while together. Here we share our final dream. It is a dream in which there is no sorrow, for it holds a hint of all the glory given us by God. The grass is pushing through the soil, the trees are budding now, and birds have come to live within their branches. They speak of an eternal – and ever-present – perfection.  Earth is being born again in new perception.  – It is not this earth that’s changing, but Your perception of it. – Night has gone, and we have come together in the light.  The ego runs away, looking but vainly for its shadows.

⁵ From here we give salvation to the world, for it is here salvation was received. For You must not forget all Your waiting Brothers. Your release must be theirs as well!

The song of our rejoicing is the call to all the world that freedom is returned, that time is almost over, and God’s Son has but an instant more to wait until his Father is remembered, dreams are done, eternity has shined away the world, and only Heaven now exists at all.  How joyously are You receiving It and Gifting All Your Brothers, who receive It with greatest joy.

 

Such is salvation: Life, Truth, Love restored to You forever.
