LESSON ONE HUNDRED-TWENTY THREE

L e s s o n  123

I thank my Father for His gifts to me.

His Love is endless, and everything He gives is but eternal and “very good”.₁

Not so in the dream where God seems absent, except in what are then called ‘miracles’.   Oh some things You term as ‘good’ and others ‘bad’, and the worst of them are called the “acts of God”; another sly ego move to hide the ever-present Love of God, Giver of only Good.

I promise You that destructive tornados, earthquakes, tsunamis, et cetera do not exist as any part of the consciousness of Heaven.  Acts of God they aren’t!  All His Acts are Love.  And that Love is both obvious and universal!

All there is is Good.

Our Father is the Source of All the Good there is.  And It is Universally available to All right here and now.

Our Good comes straight from Him, for Reality is mental, and It is here right now.

¹ Today let us be thankful. We have come to gentler pathways and to smoother roads.

The fact that You can laugh at My saying this when everything is ‘worse than ever’ shows a wonderful increase in Your trust. Yes, the road seems rockier than ever.  And still more boulders!

The good thing being: There is no thought of turning back and no implacable resistance to the truth. A bit of wavering remains, some small objections, and a little hesitance, but we can well be grateful for our gains, which are far greater than we realize. 

You have, indeed, put Your hand to the plough, and looking forward, You do go, though You yet see no yielding.

² A day devoted now to gratitude will add the benefit of some insight into the real extent of all the gains which you have made; the gifts you have received.

You still stand in holy gratitude for Your precious healing.  Pain forgotten, what remains is healing.  Such will be Your Awakening – for All of You: the horrors of the dream forgotten in Heaven’s Joy.

Be glad today in loving thankfulness your Father has not left you to yourself, nor let you wander in the dark alone. Be grateful He has saved you from the self you thought you made to take the place of Him and His creation. Give Him thanks today. 

You feel His Love as You feel Mine; Your Father is not far off but right at hand; “closer than breathing”₂  as the poet says.  And closer yet than that: God is not breathing You, but Be-ing You!

³ Give thanks that He has not abandoned you and that His Love forever will remain shining on you, forever without change.  As You are giving thanks, let Yourself feel His dear Love shining You and Be-ing You, feel Your Substance Light.  For Light You are and Light You do remain, despite the pain caused by the insane choice of separation.  God is still One with You, though You have forgotten.  You can’t change Reality, though You do ignore It.

Give thanks as well that you are changeless, for the Son He loves is changeless as Himself. Be grateful you are saved. Be glad you have a function in salvation to fulfill. Be thankful that your value far transcends your meager gifts and petty judgments of the one whom God established as His Son. 

Thankful am I for every bit of Good, for I know Its Source is the Father-Mother Love in action.

⁴ Today in gratitude we lift our hearts above despair and raise our thankful eyes, no longer looking downward to the dust.

Yes!  I am saying here to You that no matter what the body seems to do, Your Life is Your Love of God, Your gratitude for His Gifts of Love.  So raise Your eyes, rejoice! – even before the healing comes, for come it will for sure.  And come it did just as the Love of God did promise.  And this Love stands ready to heal all the world, waiting but for Your invitation!

Will You All please be His welcoming committee by Your expectation of His Good made visible, as Your lives, right where You do stand right now.

We sing the song of thankfulness today in honor of the Self Which God has willed to be our true identity in Him. 

Your voice is stronger still this year, as We sing together.  Holy Spirit sings as You as We lift Our voices in joyous hymns of gratitude.

“We thank Thee and We bless Thee, dear Father of Us All, that e’en before We ask Thee, You hear every call.”₃

Today we smile on everyone we see and walk with lightened footsteps as we go to do what is appointed us to do. We do not go alone. And we give thanks that in our solitude a Friend has come to speak the saving Word of God to us.

Always am I here with All of You, as is the Father and Holy Spirit too.  Our constancy is forever present.

Just as We smiled right through the pain last year and saw it simply vanish, so can We hold to Joy despite the turmoil of Your ‘world’.  Such is the power of this great Love of Our God that overrides all dreaming.

⁵ And thanks to you for listening to Him.

All healings come from God, heal not just the Individual but the world as well.

His Word is soundless if it be not heard.

His Gratitude is great for All of You Who will to listen.

In thanking Him the thanks are yours as well. An unheard message will not save the world, however mighty be the Voice that speaks, however loving may the message be. Thanks be to you who heard, for you become the messenger who brings His Voice with you and let it echo round and round the world. 

So sing out with Me!  Sing Hallelujah for the Love of God!

⁶ Receive the thanks of God today, as you give thanks to Him. For He would offer you the thanks you give, since He receives your gifts in loving gratitude and gives them back a thousand and a hundred thousand more than they were given. He will bless your gifts by sharing them with you, and so they grow in power and in strength until they fill the world with gladness and with gratitude. 

The message, the same: Feel His Love for You.  Feel the Joy It brings!

⁷ Receive His thanks and offer yours to Him for 15 minutes twice today. And you will realize to Whom you offer thanks, and Whom He thanks as you are thanking Him. This holy half an hour given Him will be returned to you in terms of years for every second, power to save the world eons more quickly for your thanks to Him. 

These Gifts of Your willingness bring Joy and Love to Every One.  It’s such a simple little thing to do, these brief ‘vacations’ from the dream to Life, to Love, and to Our God’s eternal Good.

⁸ Receive His thanks, and you will understand how lovingly He holds you in His Mind, how deep and limitless His care for you, how perfect is His gratitude to you.

Stop here for a moment or an hour, let Yourself feel His gentle Love for You.  You can stop the dream right now and step into Eternity Together with Me.

Remember hourly to think of Him and give Him thanks for everything you gave His Son that he might rise above the world remembering his Father and his Self. 

Now this dear Son is You of Whom I speak; whether You think You’re ‘male’ or ‘female’.

There are no such things giving ideas of separation and being different.

The only Self We All are is but the Son of God.
