LESSON ONE HUNDRED-TWO

L e s s o n  102

I share God’s Will for happiness for me.

The importance of this sharing must not be underestimated, for it is crucial that You share His Will in every way.  Sharing His Will means that You will allow It to be Yours.  For it is only in this way that You will let it in.

You do not want to suffer.  You may think
it buys you something, and may still believe
a little that it buys you what you want.

The cost for suffering is way to high to pay, for it keeps You in the dream.

And this wanting could only take the form of staying in the dream.  Would You have this?  How much pleasure has been garnered from living on Your own?  Would You continue this?  If the answer’s yes, I would respectfully suggest that You reconsider it.

Yet this belief is surely shaken now,
at least enough to let you question it,
and to suspect it really makes no sense. 

You cannot really want it still, although it seems to stick around persistently.  Know it is insanity and nothing less.

It has not gone as yet, but lacks the roots
that once secured it tightly to the dark
and hidden secret places of your mind. 
Painful eons of self-captivity.  Let it go right now.  Do You not deserve Your freedom?  I assure You that You do.  Share His gentle, loving Will for happiness for You today.  It can only bless.

Today we try to loose its weakened hold
still further, and to realize that pain
is purposeless, without a cause, and with
no power to accomplish anything.
It cannot purchase anything at all.
It offers nothing, and does not exist.
And everything you think it offers you
is lacking in existence like itself.
You have been slave to nothing.

Why would You suffer any longer now?  You are free to go from the self-made cell.

Be you free today to join the happy Will of God.

Be You free indeed.  Your Joy calls to You.  “Belovèd!” Can You hear Him say it now?   Hear His loving Voice.  Feel His sweet embrace.  This Love so long-forgotten, let It in.  You have been starved so long for It, feeding other hungers to replace this Love.  Nothing’s ever worked.

And yet it is so simple: Let It in.

For several days we will continue to
devote our longer practice periods
to exercises planned to help you reach
the happiness God’s Will has placed in you.
Here is your home, and here your safety is.

You’ve forgotten what it feels like to feel safe and not to fear.  God’s Kingdom is benign, unlike the world.

Here is your peace, and here there is no fear.
Here is salvation. Here is rest at last.

Begin your practice periods today
with this acceptance of God’s Will for you:

 I share God’s Will for happiness for me,
And I accept it as my function now. 

How could I do any less than make the choice for God again?  Would I not choose for happiness now?  This is Sanity!

Then seek this function deep within your mind,
for it is there, awaiting but your choice.
You cannot fail to find it when you learn
it is your choice, and that you share God’s Will.

Be happy, for your only function here
is happiness. You have no need to be
less loving to God’s Son than He Whose Love
created him as loving as Himself.
Besides these hourly five minute rests,
pause frequently today to tell yourself
that you have now accepted happiness
as your one function. And be sure that you
are joining with God’s Will in doing this.

The work is very simple for the day, yet the fruits stretch forth as Eternity.  The fruits of happiness are these: Peace and Love and Joy right here, even in the dream.  They’re Your Inheritance.  Accept His Gift
