LESSON ONE HUNDRED

My Part is essential to God’s plan for salvation.

I cannot be a slacker and just lie around expecting Others to do the job of Awakening for Me.  Nor would it be okay to slack off because I think that I enjoy the dream.  You know, it’s not that bad for Me.  How selfish can I be! God needs Me and Every One to end this pain and suffering.  Would We not rather to be happy?

And surely Sanity is better than to be this insane.

¹ Just as God’s Son completes his Father, so your part in it completes your Father’s plan.

And what is Your part but to give that little willingness I Love to ask You for, that glad receptivity for helping.

Salvation must reverse the mad belief in separate thoughts and separate bodies which lead separate lives and go their separate ways.

This nightmare in which You flounder is all about separation.  For thinking that You separated from God, Our Father-Mother, separates You from each Other.

Hence, God’s remedy:

One function shared by separate minds unites them in one purpose, for each one is equally essential to them all.

Each One of You is equally important and equally special to the kind loving eyes of God.  Would that You use those eyes with each Other.

² God’s Will for you is perfect happiness.

Could You ask for more?  I wouldn’t think so for this is an unending Gift for You.

Why should you choose to go against His Will?

You did that with awful consequences.  Now is the time to make the correction.

The part that He has saved for you to take in working out His plan is given you that you might be restored to what He wills.

It is but Your will too, if You would will to remind Yourselves.

This part is as essential to His plan as to your happiness. Your joy must be complete to let His plan be understood by those to whom He sends you. – For Your joy will uplift them from the ego doldrums, as true joy is sadly lacking in the dream.  And Your joy will fill all hearts hungering for happiness and peace.

They will see their function in your shining face and hear God calling to them in your happy laugh. 

God wills for Every One to be happy.

³ You are indeed essential to God’s plan. Without your joy, His joy is incomplete. Without your smile, the world cannot be saved. While you are sad, the light which God Himself appointed as the means to save the world is dim and lusterless. And no one laughs, because all laughter can but echo yours.

Each One of Us is essential to each and every Other.

⁴ You are indeed essential to God’s plan.

Stop for a moment to realize just how precious are You, both to God and to All of Your Others.  How cherished and how very belovèd.  And how cherished and belovèd is Every One to You too.

God’s Universe is One of kindest Love.

Just as your light increases every light that shines in Heaven, so your joy on earth calls to all minds to let their sorrows go and take their place beside you in God’s plan. God’s messengers are joyous, and their joy heals sorrow and despair. They are the proof that God wills perfect happiness for all who will accept their Father’s gifts as theirs.

Your gentle smile is so appealing, it draws Brothers from the entire world to bathe in its healing waters, embraced by its warm, kindly Light, radiant with Love.

⁵ We will not let ourselves be sad today.

Although the ‘human’ picture does give to Us many reasons.  We will drink instead from the joyous loving fountain welling up within Our hearts to bless Our Brothers.

We cannot fail them; They depend on Us.

For if we do, we fail to take the part that is essential to God’s plan as well as to our vision. Sadness is the sign that you would play another part instead of what has been assigned to you by God. Thus do you fail to show the world how great the happiness He wills for you. And so you do not recognize that it is yours.

Let Your Love and happiness well up within You, like an endless fountain, and invite every One to enter and to drink of this elixir.  For it is both living and Life-giving.

The more They drink of Your Love gift, the more You have to give them.  This Law Divine: The more You give, the more You have.  This is holy mathematics.

Not so in the world, yet as You give, Your home now is Heaven.

Thanks be to God for this Gift unspeakable, of happiness now and forever.

⁶ Today we will attempt to understand joy is our function here. – Can this be that all that is asked of Me is to be happy?!! And for that I do receive the Kingdom! – If you are sad, your part is unfulfilled and all the world is thus deprived of joy along with you. – Millions of hearts, sad and sorrowful, do look to You to be uplifted.  You will not disappoint them. Your help is needed. – God asks that you be happy so the world can see how much He loves His Son and wills no sorrow rises to abate his joy; no fear besets him to disturb his peace.

Your happiness is but a living testimony to the Love of God.  This is quite needed, for so many have been taught to fear Him, that He is a God of wrath.  How preposterous!

God is but Love, and Your serene and happy face bears living witness to this Truth.

⁷ You are God’s messenger today. You bring His happiness to all you look upon, His peace to everyone who looks on you and sees His message in your happy face. We will prepare ourselves for this today in our five minute practice periods by feeling happiness arise in us according to our Father’s Will and ours.

This happiness is ever-present, albeit almost smothered by the ego.

⁸ Begin the exercises with the thought today’s idea contains. Then realize your part is to be happy. Only this is asked of you or anyone who wants to take his place among God’s messengers. Think what this means. You have indeed been wrong in your belief that sacrifice is asked. You but receive according to God’s plan and never lose or sacrifice or die.

In explanation of the early Christians and the joy of sacrifice: the word does mean “sacred action” or “sacred doing”; for example prayer.  Thus every holy action that They did was, indeed, sacrifice, All blessed immeasurably.

⁹ Now let us try to find that joy which proves to us and all the world God’s Will for us. It is your function that you find it here and that you find it now. For this you came. Let this one be the day that you succeed! Look deep within you, undismayed by all the little thoughts and foolish goals you pass as you ascend to meet the Christ in you.

¹⁰ He will be there. And you can reach Him now. What could you rather look upon in place of Him Who waits that you may look on Him? What little thought has power to hold you back? What foolish goal can keep you from success when He Who calls to you is God Himself? He will be there. You are essential to His plan. You are His messenger today. And you must find what He would have you give.

What could Your Gift be but the extension of Your gentle Love?   Why am I so stressing that Love be kind and gentle?  Because it is. This is the Holy Father-Mother’s way of Be-ing with all Creation//Revelation.

In the world there is ‘tough love’, which is an oxymoron, an ego invention, typical of ego’s insanity.

This is not God, and it is important to understand this.  Who would want to come home to be greeted by such specious ‘love’?  What kind of loving Parent would give it?

Surely not the Father of the Prodigal.  This is My most important parable, encouraging Homecoming.  Not only is there no punishment, but You will be greeted by wonderful rejoicing.  Love is really Love.

¹¹ Do not forget the idea for today between your longer practice periods. It is your Self Who calls to you today. And it is Him you answer every time you tell yourself you are essential to God’s plan for the salvation of the world.

What You are asked to do is Love All of Your Brothers equally and be happy.  So very simple.
