LESSON FIFTY

TRANSCRIBER’S NOTE: The Course text is in bold face. The Guidance is in normal type In His Guidance, He has asked Me to capitalize the pronouns You and We as an acknowledgement of the Divinity of All of Us, an acknowledgement of Equality, an expression of His Love and respect for You. When You see the word ‘YOU’ capitalized in the Guidance, know that He is not just speaking to YOU, He is honoring YOU.

I am sustained by the Love of God.

From this it should be extremely clear that ‘death’ is an egregious imposition, and not succumb to its suggestion, nor accept it for a Brother.

And as this Love sustains You as Life forever, need You not succumb to sickness, lack, or any other kind of suffering.

¹ Here is the answer to every problem that confronts you today and tomorrow and throughout time. In this world, you believe you are sustained by everything but God. Your faith is placed in the most trivial and insane symbols-pills, money, “protective” clothing, “influence,” “prestige,” being liked, knowing the “right” people, and an endless list of forms of nothingness which you endow with magical powers. All these things are your replacements for the Love of God. All these things are cherished to ensure a body identification. They are songs of praise to the ego.

Ask Yourself this simple question: Which do I – would I – trust in more: God or vitamins? God or prescription drugs?  God or cigarettes?  God or alcohol?God or lots of money? God or being successful?

Which makes Me happier: God or eating?  God or going shopping?  God or watching movies, watching television? God or being popular?

Remember My words to Love God with all Your heart and soul and might and mind and Your neighbour as Yourself. This is how I Love.  Let that Love be Your entire Be-ing.

You don’t pick up a cigarette, candy bar, or avocado and consume to glorify Our God.  For all such things are done to and for the mind that does insist it is a body.

God is not about consumption but appreciation of Creation.  Destruction is but of the ego’s selfish realm.  And You are not an ego, for there really is no such thing.  It’s just an insane delusion that’s claiming Your attention.  Don’t give in to it!  Keep Your mind on God.  Listen for My Voice.

You know I’m always here talking to You!  I’m only silent when I hear Your lovely voice speak to Me. (I’m saying this to Every One of You.)

² Do not put your faith in the worthless. It will not sustain you. Only the Love of God will protect you in all circumstances.

– It is present for You all the time and everywhere, found when You turn to Him for Your support.  He has been waiting for You, oh so patiently.  His Love is ever present, consistent and sustaining. He just loves to help You! –

It will lift you out of every trial and raise you high above all the perceived dangers of this world into a climate of perfect peace and safety. It will transport you into a state of mind which nothing can threaten, nothing can disturb, and where nothing can intrude upon the eternal calm of the Son of God.

Please be clear that this is a Living experience (and not a dying one).  And this experience is both Present and available to Every One You right here and right now.

You are ignoring It for You prefer the painful dreaming, choosing sleep instead of Awakening.

³ Put not your faith in illusions.

– Illusions You have chosen for Yourself. –

They will fail you.

– Just how much happiness do You think that they have brought to You?  Like Esau in the Bible, You have sold Your Birthright for a “mess of pottage”; Your appetite for fantasy equal to His for lentils, and with the same results. –

Put all your faith in the Love of God within you, eternal, changeless and forever unfailing.

– You can remember this Love any time You are but willing –

This is the answer to whatever confronts you today. Through the Love of God in you, you can resolve all seeming difficulties without effort and in sure confidence. Tell yourself this often today. It is a declaration of release from the belief in idols. It is your acknowledgment of the truth about yourself.

You are never alone, for wherever You may seem to be, there is God.  If He weren’t, neither would You be, because You and He are but One.

⁴ For ten minutes twice today, morning and evening, let the idea for today sink deep into your consciousness. Repeat it, think about it, let related thoughts come to help you recognize its truth, and allow peace to flow over you like a blanket of protection and surety. Let no idle and foolish thoughts enter to disturb the holy mind of the Son of God. Such is the Kingdom of Heaven. Such is the resting place where your Father has placed you forever.

Belovèd Son of God, belovèd Daughter, Heaven longs for Your return.  If You will but allow It, You will feel the Love that God has for You.  It is forever.

Will You not take My hand as We return to Your happiness together?  For You and I are Brothers.  Brother and Sister, We are One.  If I am special, You are special too.  As important as I am to God, You are as important.

The Christ I am, You are that Christ as well.  Feel God’s Love for You.

It’s safe to Waken.
