LESSON FORTY-EIGHT

TRANSCRIBER’S NOTE: The Course text is in bold face. The Guidance is in normal type In His Guidance, He has asked Me to capitalize the pronouns You and We as an acknowledgement of the Divinity of All of Us, an acknowledgement of Equality, an expression of His Love and respect for You. When You see the word ‘YOU’ capitalized in the Guidance, know that He is not just speaking to YOU, He is honoring YOU.

There is nothing to fear.

How can this be so?  The world is fraught with fear, and many reasons for it..  Every moment seems to cry out danger in one way or another.  Each situation pregnant with dreaded possibilities.

This is the nature of a dream, for dreaming is unreal and quite inconsistent, being made up wholly from illusions.

¹ The idea for today simply states a fact. It is not a fact to those who believe in illusions, but illusions are not facts.

– Facts are what is Real; In other words,, the Knowing of Our Source, Our Father-Mother. –

In truth there is nothing to fear. It is very easy to recognize this. But it is very difficult to recognize for those who want illusions to be true.

Would You be happy?  Then You must change Your mind about what You will to see.  Do You will to see but the happy Peace of God or the unreal drama of the ego?  As the Son of God, You get what You want.

² Today’s practice periods will be very short, very simple, and very frequent. Merely repeat the idea as often as possible. You can use it with your eyes open at any time and in any situation. It is strongly recommended, however, that you take a minute or so whenever possible to close your eyes and repeat the idea slowly to yourself several times. It is particularly important that you use the idea immediately should anything disturb your peace of mind.

The strange ‘laws’ of the world are so ingrained in You, and everyone of them are based in fear, and it is but this fear that We are undoing here.  For fear is antithetical to Love.

³ The presence of fear is a sure sign that you are trusting in your own strength. The awareness that there is nothing to fear shows that somewhere in your mind, not necessarily in a place which you recognize as yet, you have remembered God and let His strength take the place of yours. The instant you are willing to do this there is indeed nothing to fear.

When You are afraid, the need for control seems overwhelming, the necessity to do something ‘magical’ to fix it, the current problem, instead of the fear which needs to be healed.

You cling to fear because without it the dream will be over

Yet the only lasting ‘fix’ comes with the trust and understanding that God is Love, and it is You that He is right now and forever Loving.

Open the door, so long shut in Your mind, and let Yourself feel His forever Love and Your happiness.  You do deserve it!
